I would have moved the Panzer III and Panzer IV down a tier. The Panzer III becomes the 1936 slot and Panzer IV 1938 Slot. The 1940 Slot would be taken by the VK 24.01 which was one of the early version of what would eventually become the Panther

The Soviet KV1 should be a 1940 tank whilst the 1938 slot is taken by the SMK

For the American 1936 Heavy I recommend replacing the WW1 era Liberty tank with the original concept proposal of the T1 heavy which was a multi-turreted tank

I think you should make the Black Prince the 1942 British Heavy and for the 1944 slot use the
A-45 Infantry Support Tank, which became the basis for the post war FV 201, FV 221 Caernarvon and the FV 214 Conqueror

For the French Tank tree AMX CDC is not a tank. It is a hellcat style turreted tank destroyer.
The SARL 42 is a very poor comparison to the Panther

I think Infantry Fighting Vechile technology should be an upgrade for mechanised units giving them the combat ability of light tanks.

The problem with the Italian so called heavies P26 is that they were heavies only in comparison to other italian tanks. Compared to contempary British, Soviet, American and German tanks they were actually medium tanks. The M16/43 by the time it would have been introduced would have been completely obsolete in the medium/cruiser role and was more comperable to late war light tank designs.

Add P1000 Ratte as a Uber-Heavy or put it as a 1941 super heavy, make it super hard to produce aswell, also add more late game light tanks? Lik a S.P.I.C (E25)

@ExterminateJuice, I am not laughing about the realism. Oh yes, I know history...the train concept doesn't work with the game mechanics. That is why it is laughable. Yes there were a few german train guns during the seige of leningrad and sevastopol. Even one that could reach the very edge of England in the shortest distance between France and England.

The Leopard in german tech tree is actually Leopard I of the first production version, the way it looked in 1965. I agree even then it's a stretch to put it there, but looks-wise it's very similar to the Porsche prototype which was created in 1961 and was largely a continuation of the Germans' late WW2 designs. So t could be semi-reasonably argued that if the war didn't come to stop in 1945, tanks looking like that could show up a decade earlier.

One question.. Why do the Germans have the Leopard 4 when every nation, barring the Japanese and Italians, have period appropriate tanks? Shouldn't it be the Leopard 1? It makes even less sense since the Japanese get the Type 61.

lancepants if that is true you need to learn yourslef aumthin bout history and war. The armored train was a very effectice tool of war up until a little after ww2. however just like calvery they still have a small role to play on the battle field. the ♥♥♥♥ used armoured trains allot and the germann wanted an artillery based one that could roll around europe on the 100000 miles of track that had been built. in some places roads were harder to access then the rail lines...still laughing!

@Farbion02 the update is taking more time than i estimated thanks to the core game changes in how the AI builds its templates. Unfortunately it's a bit like herding cats in this regard.

They are a result of merging the concepts of APC and a (light) tank. Technically they'd need a solid advancement into the APC branch to allow research, but it'd be difficult to make it intuitive, without messing further with the arrangement of the tech tree.
