Huh so I was using this mod for my playthru, and it was working just fine all the way thru the main quest and all that. Now all of a sudden the Augment Combiner station has turned into a missing textured placeholder item that instructs me to delete it. Trying to craft another results in the same missing texture item. The weird part is that the mod isn't completely broken, because the existing combined augment I already had in my EPP still works and all. It's just the augment combiner station itself that has somehow bugged. No idea what to do or how to fix that

A strange question, but does this work with mods that modify existing Augments, like the Better Augments Mod?

Because it not only adds new "hybrid" Augments, but also modifies the base game's Augments.

it shouldn't be limited. Do you remember which collars/pods you combined together? I've tried to replicate this issue, but i can't seem to get it to happen on my end, it always combines just fine,

When I tried to combine the Glitchtop collar with more than one collar and extract them, it destroyed my Glitchtop collar. I don't know if collars only allow 2 combinations or if it's just the Glitchtop collar (FU). But it's the most valuable collar, so kind of a bummer.

I can combine the Glitchtop collar with one other collar tho, so I used Healing III.

This is the last Mod I have installed that even mentions Capture pods, gonna uninstall and see if the capture pods still kill monsters.

Only real way this could be happening is if an other mod is causing some compatibility issues. Might want to check your mod list to see which mod is causing it.

Lost an augment from another mod while combinging, that cost me the swimming, gravity and level3 light augment.

It turned out that it was a Steam error that said I had it installed but it didn't install it...so now i fix that the mod work fine

you need a fully upgraded inventor's table. (architect's table). same place you make the furnace and other crafting stations from.

EPP Effect Extractor is good to use with this, now we can create EPP effect augments and combine it with the combined augments that were created using this mod. :D

I have tried to download and put the mod in the mods folder in starbound manually and it still does not work. This may be a more general issues with mods being recognised as being installed but not loading as i have spotted others not working but being displayed in the bottom left mods screen on the main menu.

upon further inspection it seems that playing on windows does not fix the issue. Seems its just a general issue with my installation. Any further advice would be much appreciated.

So I have been doing a playthrough on linux and the augment combiner is just not showing up in the architects table.

The mod can be configured to have a limit, but you'll need to make a mod to set it, i can't be done while in game. The mod doesn't allow you to have multiple copies of a single mod in an augment. It doesn't allow you to create higher tier augments from lower tier ones either. Higher level versions of an augment will override the lower level augments.

So for example:
Damage1 & Health3 + Damage3 & Regen2 & Health2 = Damage3 & Regen2 & Health3

I should really describe the combining process better in the mod's description, these kinds of question get's asked a lot.

No, it cannot transfer the basic abilities from 1 epp to an other. It only merges/combines/transfers the augments from epp to an other. If you are still playing the vanilla game, each EPP usually has all the effects of the previous one so you shouldn't have to worry about it too much. If you are using FU, you can usually get augments that have the same effects as the EPPs and just combine them into the EPP giving you the same functionality.

No only regeneration 3 will remain. The mod overrides lower level augments with higher level ones as an attempt to minimally balance the experience.

Oh, so it's still just combining the augments of two EPPs? I thought there was also a way to combine the abilities of two EPPs (sans augments) into one. My bad!

Which EPPs are you using? The augment combiner should be able to transfer the augments from 1 EPP to an other if you use the slots at the top just like hot i'm merging the collars at in the example photo in the mod's showcase picture.

The EPP on the left is usually consumed in the process and the resulting EPP should be the one on the right.if both of them have augments, it still does the combination though so if you have an augment in both your new EPP should contain both augments. The combiner doesn't allow you to enhance the levels of augments by combining 2 augments of a lower tier together tho so keep that in mind.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I can't seem to figure it out. How do I combine EPPs? I put an EPP in each slot of the Augment Combiner, and there is nothing in the output. The only time there is an output is when there are augments in one of the EPPs. Am I just reading the description wrong and really it's just a way of transferring EPAs to a different EPP?

@Autoby87 after subscribing to any content on the workshop it usually downloads either immediately or just as you launch the game via steam. Steam will always auto update your workshop mods if you launch the game via steam. As for the combiner, you'll need the 3rd upgrade of the inventor's table (the thing used to craft all other crafting stations) in order to craft an augment combiner.
