excellent :))
Petutski Jan 30, 2015 @ 8:13am
Short but interesting!
Rand0mNumbers  [author] Oct 18, 2014 @ 4:27am
Nothing, really. Just a different way to do them.
ncrecc Oct 14, 2014 @ 7:26am
What's the difference between this and regular buttons though?
Rand0mNumbers  [author] Oct 3, 2014 @ 10:55pm
Might be possible. It might make the maps really resource intensive though.
vioray Sep 26, 2014 @ 6:21pm
and another new concept! your chambers continue to impress. I'm hoping to find some that combine a variety of these ideas, although I don't know if there's some limit on scripting that'd make that impossible
The Sojourner May 17, 2014 @ 11:44pm
...much like in the new Thinking with Time Machine mod.

Inverted colored sign...
Hellraiser Sep 15, 2013 @ 5:17am
Very nice design :)
Yavie Dec 21, 2012 @ 10:10am
Easy but a lot of fun! I didn't have any problem figuring out that I had to crouch, btw, seemed rather obvious to me. Loved the floor "buttons" and the plink sound they made (;
The Sojourner Oct 24, 2012 @ 10:02pm
...all I'm gonna say is, WOW was that some oddly colored hazard sign at the beginning of the test!!
That Steven Guy Jul 3, 2012 @ 6:10am
Good map 1 prob while the elevator is going down at the end if u jumpat several times there is a chance u could fall through the floor and not complete the level
Ravenmorke Jun 23, 2012 @ 8:15pm
Great job! ;)
Captain Quakas Jun 7, 2012 @ 10:28am
Great concept!
CTraveler263 Jun 6, 2012 @ 7:50am
That was rather clever. I'm going to second that previous suggestion of this being handy in CO-OP maps.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] Jun 2, 2012 @ 12:58pm
Yes. Placing a portal in that fashion was intended.
Magnetic Jun 2, 2012 @ 11:13am
==spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler==

is it supposed that when i am stating at the further from entrance switch-plate, portable wall behind the field is opened and when i sit down i can put portal at that wall shooting beneath the field?
Jiro 二郎 Jun 1, 2012 @ 12:01pm
A nice implementation of the weighted button. Make it a one-way weighted so that only the player can activate it, and you have yet another puzzle element. I see this element's potential in co-op maps.
Le Petit Mort May 31, 2012 @ 8:47pm
So, more concise buttons and switch-panels then? Though, I suppose the condition that the player must be on the touch-surface does constrain the players movement, adding a slightly new angle to gameplay.
BrokenKeys May 30, 2012 @ 7:15pm
liked it alot good job
SpeedKing May 30, 2012 @ 5:03pm
There seems to be a glitch at the fizzler before the exit where it doesnt fizzle your portals
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 30, 2012 @ 1:47pm
Raccoon: Can you be more specific? What you said isn't very helpful. Is the crouch what got you?
Swivel Master / Nemo10 May 30, 2012 @ 12:28pm
I enjoyed this map quite a bit. I was totally stumped for about five minutes, repeatedly trying various silly ideas that usually ended in the cube fizzling. Once I figured it out, I was very happy. I definitely did NOT have trouble with crouching in that one spot.
Rocketeer Raccoon May 30, 2012 @ 8:57am
Bad level design. Not good.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 29, 2012 @ 12:06am
This was more of a test on toggling portalable surfaces. The buttons came about because I didn't like having to move up and down or press something.

I love your work but I agree with CherryGuitar. It really seems like you're trying reinvent the wheel on this one.
-maniax- May 28, 2012 @ 12:58pm
Simple but interesting
CherryGuitar May 28, 2012 @ 7:06am
Very nice, but in my opinion these "touchies" aren't so different from ordinary buttons controlling turning panels (portalable/no portalable panels), but they are sleeker and cooler, though.
Nuskad May 28, 2012 @ 6:10am
Very nice chamber, little bit too easy but very fun :)
Ex-Darkness May 28, 2012 @ 2:43am
Good job, easy when you finish it XD
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 27, 2012 @ 3:02pm
Agreed.
Warbear May 27, 2012 @ 2:41pm
OK, watched the video. That's how I figured it should be done, but maybe there's away you could do it without having to crouch? It is kinda difficult to hit that one surface.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 27, 2012 @ 2:21pm
The solution is on my videos page here on Steam. Alternatively, you can find it on Youtube. I'd post the link, but I don't want to have someone unwittingly view the solution before solving (assuming they haven't already solved/viewed it).
Warbear May 27, 2012 @ 2:02pm
I did use the laser, but wasn't able to figure out how to move the cube with the disspation field, and it seemed like I had to be in two places at once. I just couldn't figure it out.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 27, 2012 @ 1:30pm
Use the laser.
Warbear May 27, 2012 @ 1:20pm
Cool concept with the standing buttons, but I couldn't figure it out. The dissipation field keeps you from advancing the cube, and you can't stand on both buttons at once.
o+= May 27, 2012 @ 11:01am
Difficulty 4/10
Fun 8/10

Great use of switches.
Stric_Matic May 27, 2012 @ 10:34am
Another great idea - tiles that open/close portal surfaces when standing on them. Try making another where you need to place other cubes on more tiles to succeed? Just a thought
someobscurename May 26, 2012 @ 1:19pm
Cool.
KayDee May 26, 2012 @ 2:35am
That one was pretty cool. Good job.
Nefnoj May 22, 2012 @ 8:27pm
I disagree, your tests are not too easy, not too hard. They take you a few seconds, but once you get it, you feel like the MASTER.
Rand0mNumbers  [author] May 22, 2012 @ 11:45am
BennXYZ: The fizzler worked fine for me. Cleared my portals and dissolved all the companion cubes I threw at it.

Eternal: Then it served its purpose as an intro chamber. :(
Eterz May 22, 2012 @ 11:20am
Clever but too easy :( I solved it in 2 minutes
Pandaras Box May 22, 2012 @ 11:12am
interessenting concept. kinda liked it :P
btw. the last fizzler before the elevator doesn't work for some reason :D
