If anyone would like to take on the daring challenge to remaster Amnesia: The Dark Decent in HPL3 using this and accuretely recreate the scripts like as if it was the real Amnesia let me know so I can promote it :D

Not rly, you need to reqrite the amnesia scripts and maps to work with SOMA and that takes loads of time.

Combine this mod with this http://www.moddb.com/mods/amnesia-monsters-upgraded and the Amnesia inventory mod and you can go full Amnesia!

that be a really interesting idea, dark descent upgraded to hpl3 engine. but partly what made that game great was its old engine and runs alot easier

@ShipinShen: Import objects is not meant for that, but for loading objects that were previously exported. If the asset pack is properly installed and configured, the objects should appear in the object lists along with the ones that came with SOMA. Here you have a couple guides to help setting this up:

@Admiral. Poopy Pantz: sorry for that. Yes you will need to download this if the mod you are gonna play is created using it, unless the modder has stripped the needed assets from it.
The goal of all this is basically reducing bloat when redistributing mods. If you check the test at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=570668616 , it does not include any assets at all, just the map.

I take it unless your a level editor, you will never need to download this? You should put more in the description. I know nothing about level editing so to me i cant tell if this is just for level editors or if people need this to play costom content people have made with old assets

@Iron Certain object that were in Amnesia would be needesd in some mods in one way or the other. The same with Penumbra assets. So there...

@Iron This allows for the use of Amnesia assets from within the game engine of Soma, so you can have, for example, the Amnesia servants patrolling your spooky sci-fi lab. Frankly, while I appreciate the port (saves me a hell of a lot of time knowing this stuff's already done now) I think the package system is dumb, as part of the appeal of custom stories is the surprise of content, and nothing kills a surprise like having to outright state that the a pack is required for this mod to work. Not so bad for large asset packs, but if people start uploading small ones with single entities, it's gonna be a nightmare. No skin off my back, though, since you can just put the entities straight in your mod and credit in the description.

(Now, a Penumbra hi-res asset pack... THAT would be awesome, ;D)

@Nuuuu, it's a pack of assets from Amnesia that can be used with the level editor, the assets can be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\282140\570600440 after subscribing.
