Nicely done - makes a hole big enough the hauler/driller can drop in flat.

@Shepard,
T'was that, the Landing Gear to lock the arm was disabled upon spawning. Ergo, the arm bounced like a non-erect penis, throwing the drills off.
Work-around was to manage to spawn the thing without the arm flying off, which was tricky.
Spawning the Beast on a hill, angled correctly, the forces at times did not tear the arm apart, but the Beast started rolling downwards, Jump in and lock the gears immediately, and try to survive until you get on flat surface to stop the damn thing. Then Save THAT as a Blueprint. Upon respawning the newly saved Blueprint the Landing Gears seems activated already, which now is a lot easier to spawn it.

It does at times spin into destruction.
Had it drilling while on the 6 pistons underneath, when done and arm relocked, upon taking the pistons underneath the Beast in, the Beast took a 660degree spin and exploded. That's a bug of Space Engineers, and not so much the vehicle, but be aware.

@PiperMp3 well it worked for me! try do what i told you and save the blueprint and it will be ok but remember if you want to drill unlock the gears ;) Have Fun!
Ybax  [author] Jan 19, 2017 @ 3:57pm
@PiperMp3 i know the problem... it is because of the game engine phisics had changed and the pistons are not stable... try to spawn it in space and check if the landing gear that secure the lock of the pistons is locked... sorry I don't know other solution that works back in the day this was working without a problem. good luck!

Everytime I spawn it, regardless of angle or on flat surface, it jumps a bit, then the drill tears itself off :/ Managed to get it after 6-7 attempts, then it broke some other way, and so far after 12 attempts it keeps tearing itself apart regardless of how easy I am on the spawning :/

But it was good as fuck while it worked :D
DeathShaper Feb 28, 2016 @ 6:48am
Well, the lag solved itself after an restart :D
DeathShaper Feb 28, 2016 @ 5:59am
Hehe yeah, iv'e build it :D
It works, but my game gets laggy when using it, probably because the spotlights and pistons XD, but it mines really much
Ybax  [author] Feb 28, 2016 @ 3:55am
@DeathShaper you can't rebuild the arm using the projector... it is keen's fault not mine :D try to spawn it if not build it... it is not commplex... have fun!
DeathShaper Feb 27, 2016 @ 6:04pm
Never mind, tried to remake the images :)
DeathShaper Feb 27, 2016 @ 5:41pm
i'm not sure how to build the arm, as it is not projected with the blueprint. Got info for me?
K3rmit94 Feb 16, 2016 @ 6:40pm
the pistons scare me but eh i'm not surprised if they work
TokMor Dec 22, 2015 @ 2:48pm
Sorry, I didn't realize they needed to be manually added to the item. I've done so now. Also, the buttons are under the LCD panels to the right when you walk in the door. The left most one starts the drill sequence.
Ybax  [author] Dec 22, 2015 @ 1:41pm
@TokMor and what are those not so vanilla parts? :)
TokMor Dec 22, 2015 @ 1:37pm
Here it is http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=581488216

I also had replaced the assembler with some not so vanilla parts, but if you like the functionality I imagine I can make it back to the vanilla version you had.
Ybax  [author] Dec 22, 2015 @ 9:06am
@TokMor ofcourse why not!!! scrpt's are a nice addition but i don't know how to do it
You can publish it if you want! and please put the link here so i can take a look at it too :D

This blueprint is pretty sweet. I modified yours a bit to include several extra programming blocks to contain Easy Automation, so that with 1 button the ship locks itself, deploys the boom, drills to maximum depth, and then resets. I added a bunch of LCDs and the Configurable LCDs script to show inventory and a bunch of other status. And I put in TIM to keep all the stuff that isn't being actively processed in the cargo containers for easier access. Would seeing a setup like that interest you?

Fantastic job. Been looking for something like this for awhile.
Drazokan Dec 4, 2015 @ 2:26pm
Nice i love it. When you make a second version of this vechicle try to make a bore head that allows slow driving while mining, so that i can mine all what is around 10-20m deepth.
Deadlystrike Dec 2, 2015 @ 8:31pm
I reallllly love that vessle man. but on servers it is unusable and super spazy. You should make a ship / station version of this
Ybax  [author] Dec 2, 2015 @ 4:15am
@Nikecow glad you like it!
Cow Dec 1, 2015 @ 9:20pm
This thing is amazing lol. How do you even make this up?

Too bad it's multigrid :steamsad: Pls Keen fix this.
Ybax  [author] Dec 1, 2015 @ 1:48pm
@peri1sc you can spawn it if you or one of your friend is admin... with projectors not suporting multi grids is not my fault... sorry
Ybax  [author] Dec 1, 2015 @ 1:42pm
multi grids is not supported by projectors
Jast107 Dec 1, 2015 @ 12:53pm
Hello, you have a bug. In designing the blueprint with the projector arm does not appear to pierce, The arm is very easy devil is ropen has many vibrations.
thanks for your time.
peri1sc Dec 1, 2015 @ 12:50pm
Hello Raptor, nice machine, but my friends and i have a problem. The arm with the holes not listed in the blueprint, we have to make us part, and doing looking at the pictures, is very weak and does break and even explode ... and we have not made the 90 meters!
Ybax  [author] Nov 30, 2015 @ 9:36am
@Fusioncore231 hmm I don't know... to dig deeper the drill arm has to be longer and so it needs a longer body/frame and the stability will suffer but who knows what the future brings...
Fusion Nov 30, 2015 @ 8:11am
@Raptor8330
How about building a MK3 like it will be faster and can dig deep and a better design.
Ybax  [author] Nov 30, 2015 @ 4:31am
@DUSTED you can project it and construct the missing parts normaly... the drill arm is not complicated
DUSTED Nov 30, 2015 @ 12:51am
Awesome. I wish that multi grids were supported by projectors or I'd bring this into my survival server.
Ybax  [author] Nov 29, 2015 @ 1:41pm
pfff i think that is a bug from the last ninja patches... it didin't hapend before
Fusion Nov 29, 2015 @ 1:38pm
and it flung like 400 meters away
Fusion Nov 29, 2015 @ 1:37pm
@Raptor8330 It works way better than the Mk1 but one problem I did encounter was that when I attached the landing gear back onto the pistons one of the pistons broke away.
Don't know why but it did.
Ybax  [author] Nov 29, 2015 @ 12:53pm
@Fusioncore231 i hope so too i did test it and for me it was ok if you can cone back with input on this ;)
Fusion Nov 29, 2015 @ 12:43pm
I hope this one will do better :D
