JJSheridan 9. dec. 2016 kl. 14:26
Hey, so after last patch all textures are purple? Or am I missing something? Thanks for a pretty damn beautiful mod, just the righht atmosphere for my ships.
Paul B. Hartzog 22. aug. 2016 kl. 14:01
Any chance of getting a generic wall w/ just the window with the rounded corners? That's a great window!
Paul B. Hartzog 17. aug. 2016 kl. 12:20
Love your work. Any ETA on Rev 1 items?
Marmo 18. apr. 2016 kl. 10:43
Yeah, LCDs would be cool, so you could display cafeteria menus or something like that!
MeatyDoubleSlap 16. apr. 2016 kl. 21:44
ah ok haha they look like LCDs but ya man that be dope as hell if you get that working
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2016 kl. 21:26
No, currently no LCDs included in this pack anywhere. I had experimented with having the rear walls (currently a mirror-gloss black) as LCDs... it sort of worked, though it was very hard to account for different sizes etc. Might try again at some point.
MeatyDoubleSlap 30. mar. 2016 kl. 12:38
hey i was wondering are those LCDs? if they are can u program them and what not
FreshAsIce 2. feb. 2016 kl. 5:44
maby some vending or coffy mashines of some sort or even like in star trek something that basicly makes your food in a mashine
Marmo 31. jan. 2016 kl. 16:04
Straight Galleys for the Cooker and Sink would be neat!
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2016 kl. 21:01
Yes I am still supporting all of my mods. Due to a HUGE to do list currently any additions to this are a while off. Would also help to know what people actually want if anyone has any ideas :)
Marmo 29. jan. 2016 kl. 19:20

FreshAsIce 15. jan. 2016 kl. 0:41
is this one still worked on?^^ not that i dont like it but i would love to see more of this
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 24. nov. 2015 kl. 20:07
Unfortunately I lack the knowledge and software for handling character poses. I had asked a couple of fellow modders to help out but not sure how far they got - will chase it up. Due to the way SE currently works only one seat would ever be useable (game engine hard coded).
Helto 24. nov. 2015 kl. 13:06
Is it possible make the table actually usable?
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2015 kl. 4:12
They're not too bad on the polys - they are certainly as optimized as they can be given the shapes needed etc. The game engine has come a long way, where once the devs seemed to try and keep everything below the 2-300 mark, most of their new designs are more.

A gyro is now 2,400 triangles - a lot more than any of these. Gyros are also likely to be placed in large quantities near each other, in theory there shouldn't be many kitchens more than a dozen pieces or so.

Examples:
End Right Cooker (Galley): 841 Triangles
Cooker Counter: 586 Triangles
Table: 500 Triangles
Lonewolf 13. nov. 2015 kl. 22:37
Best galley so far. Nice work. Just hope the poly count is low and it does not kill the FPS.
CONS 6. nov. 2015 kl. 1:51
Nice to know! Keep up the good work man!
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 5. nov. 2015 kl. 22:15
Indeed, you are absolutely right on the realism. Chances are a starship kitchen will look nothing like what we're used to. A stove and a sink are two examples of things which just don't make sense, and as you say, even the format of food is likely to be different.

There's a few points as to why I did things this way though... firstly just to make things appealing and familiar to people who aren't quite so into the realism factor. Having artificial gravity as well also makes a difference... perhaps with that as an option a slightly more traditional kitchen actually becomes possible once more. Finally, I tried to space-ify a bit; if you look at the controls on things, the sink fills from beneath and has a screen to close if gravity is lossed, the hob has a magnetic lock feature, etc etc.

there are three mess mods on the workshop, your is the best looking so faar... but IMHO like the other two... it's a bit unrealistic.

I think that food in space will be produced like from a 3d printer. Mainly stocked.
Of course, It could be cooked... but via microwaves and it could be great if you can do a bit of design revamp based on that in mind.
Freezers can be converted in stocked food containers, that can be split in liquids and solids for example. You can add some sort of food processor dispencers. And please if you can take care of small grid blocks they always deserve the same love of large grids (till keen's will decide to add compounds blocks on SE)
There is really a GREAT needs of furnitures of any kind in the workshop... adding more, is always welcome by the community.
abenedict85 26. okt. 2015 kl. 15:08
Great mod, would love to see more added! My stations look great!
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2015 kl. 11:43
Many thanks for the review; the excitement of having people download something you make is still fresh after over a year, but that's the first time I've really seen the results displayed in such a way and it's a good feeling :D
Ranos 24. okt. 2015 kl. 9:23
This is my favorite(?) mod out of all the kitchen/mess hall mods on the workshop. I really like this look. Any way here is a mod review I did of this mod and two others like it.

Raszagal 30. sep. 2015 kl. 4:09
Even if you don't add any conveyor points for the system I imagine that once planets comes out there would be a lot of demand for food and water mods. Having a fridge hold ice was just an idea that came from there as later it could be expanded to hold the food and water as well.
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 30. sep. 2015 kl. 3:33
Haha! That's actually an amusing idea. Don't think there's a way to create a container for ice alone, but indeed maybe the fridges should have some storage space!
Raszagal 30. sep. 2015 kl. 3:04
Can you store Ice in the fridge? If not can you add it?
GrimTheYeeter 13. sep. 2015 kl. 12:27
I can't wait to see what "Type 2" will look out. I'd love to see like beds or bathroom stuff just to see what approach would be taken in the design. Really love the way this mod looks.
Celestite 9. sep. 2015 kl. 18:42
dead
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2015 kl. 7:33
Nope! When taking a picture it's hard to know what to do with re-coloured areas... most people pick a colour and use that. In my case I used my corp colour (purple). Any purple section in a texture on any of my mods is a re-colourable area.
bongojones 8. sep. 2015 kl. 1:40
does it have to be purple?
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2015 kl. 22:52
It does indeed! As it's simply a case of changing out the texturing, there's a lot of possibilities. I haven't actually decided what to do next; open to any suggestions!
Wimpoman 3. sep. 2015 kl. 20:12
BTW, does "Type 1" imply that you're planning an aesthetically different "type 2" mess hall pack?
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2015 kl. 11:01
Glad you like!

The last month has been focussed heaving on texturing techniques, hoping to re-release with new and improved soon :)
Wimpoman 2. sep. 2015 kl. 14:38
Thank you for making this available for small grids! :D
I hate building large grid ships because their block size limits detailing, and the main thing preventing me from building the ships I want to build was lack of "mess/canteen" furniture for the bigger ships.
[UESC] Abatos 9. aug. 2015 kl. 7:00
You could try making granite countertops, those seem to be in these days.
Shaostoul 7. aug. 2015 kl. 18:52
A www, I didn't get notified you replied to my comment! Glad to hear the tutorials helped out. I'm hoping to start DX11 tutorials with all the new stuff that's been released. Hopefully I can raise enough money to get a new PC so I can get back into making the tutorial stuff, cause this lender doesn't quite cut it.
Добрыня Громилки 7. aug. 2015 kl. 12:24
а 12 DX подойдёт
P1xelSm1th 7. aug. 2015 kl. 5:49
this mod is AMAZING, but maybe you could add some stuff to it like maybe adding thirst and you have to get water from your fridge and yes i understand that it is still an early mod.
Gatetrek 6. aug. 2015 kl. 23:25
thanks for the fix works nicely now even with tons on mods. sos didnt do the tests myself RL got in the way so thanks for fixing this great mod
kitsunelegendXx 6. aug. 2015 kl. 20:24
Do you think it could be possible to add a top and bottom loading washer and dryer? For small and large ships? Its the ONE thing Im missing for my upcoming interstellar small-block large ship design ;3;
HaedesMC 6. aug. 2015 kl. 18:25
This is a great pack! And now it is even better that you added the small ship blocks. Many thanks!
Vilinius Habib 6. aug. 2015 kl. 14:54
have i mentioned that you're a good person and people say nice things about you?
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 6. aug. 2015 kl. 12:49
And speaking of patches...

Rev 2 - small ship parts! All the parts are now available on the small ship grid. Managed to do it with no extra models to load courtesy of Shaostoul's suggestion so basically no difference on size etc. All colission meshes, construction models, mount points and the likes work on the small grid, the only thing that isn't perfect in this system is the 'center' cubs for placing them but many will hardly notice :)

Please report any bugs as frankly, I've had a few beers too many and have probably painted something bright yellow or turned a fridge inside out or something.
Torge 6. aug. 2015 kl. 12:46
LoL:steamhappy:
Tristavius  [ophavsmand] 6. aug. 2015 kl. 12:36
Good stuff, though it was probably the Rev 1 patch a couple of hours ago that nailed the issue - I did actually find something wrong with two of the build models which if left seems to trigger problems in some (though oddly not all) SE installs.

Thanks for submitting a proper bug report instead of the all too common abuse and thumbs down button :)
