Hi! IS this obsolete or no?
Companion_Cube Aug 10, 2018 @ 9:47pm
Has the Ancestral Update made this mod obsolete or will the be a Patch 20 Data Typos coming in the near future? Keep up the good work gentlemen!

Another one is that Thureos and Thorax Hoplites actually have "hoplite" shields instead of "thureos" despite being named and depicted with them:

One I found is that they changed Iberian Swordsmen to have range 40 rome_iron_javelin, but didn't update the Mercenary Iberian Swordsmen in the same way, so they still have the range 80 javelins: https://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/units_compare.php?l=en&v []=rome2&f[]=rom_lusitani&u[]=Ibe_Sword&v[]=rome2&f[]=&u[]=Mer_Ibe_Sword

Hi mate, unfortunately typos never end:
https://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/building.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=gaul_rome&b=rome_port_patrol_4
In Caesar in Gaul level 4 allows you to recruit Roman Onagers...I think should be Artillery Quinquereme - R. O. that otherwise could not be recruited (https://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/unit.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=gaul_rome&u=CiG_Rom_Onager_Five)

Thank you :)
Shatilov Feb 17, 2018 @ 5:48pm
Thank you.

What a Christmas gift! Thank you Bruce! :D
Bruce_R  [author] Dec 24, 2017 @ 6:27pm
Thanks to everyone who contributed: Vilmurin, Octavius, Dux, L. Romanista, Vulcanis, Areus, and Reveur. I'll keep the patch up for posterity, even though it's changing relatively little now. But who knows, more data typos could always show up, too. Good gaming, all.
Dragar Nov 9, 2017 @ 10:35am
Well done Bruce_R! This was almost certainly a foundation and motivation for CA's update.
Tenacious Dan Nov 9, 2017 @ 8:26am
Bruce_R my man, CA has literally added your patch in full (almost) to the new patch 18. Congrats bro! You and the colabs have made an impressive work with this, cheers.
Working Joe Nov 8, 2017 @ 11:55pm
Ding dong, new patch! It'll be interesting to see if CA fixes anything from your (brilliant) mod..
Itharus Sep 17, 2017 @ 10:12am
Thanks :)
Bruce_R  [author] Sep 17, 2017 @ 6:20am
to date, yes
Itharus Jun 4, 2017 @ 10:19pm
Was patch 17 the final patch for Rome 2?
Andrea  [author] Apr 1, 2017 @ 3:16am
I'm pretty sure it is a typo in comparison with other barbarian middle class spear units (Scutarii Spearmen, Celtic Spear Warriors...) and spear stealth units such as Night Hunters and Naked Spears
Andrea  [author] Apr 1, 2017 @ 2:56am
Hi BruceR probably I found another typo: Briton Spear Band (Aux, Merc and Caesar in Gaul variants too) and Lusitani Guerrillas don't have Cavalry Counter-tactics ability.
Dispenser Is Spy Mar 13, 2017 @ 12:02pm
When I use this mod and attack a Greek faction's minor settlement by doing the battle manually, it crashes to desktop when I click "Start Battle"
mini_lancer Oct 8, 2016 @ 3:58pm
I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to fix the victory condition for Dacia in IA? In order to obtain a cultural victory I'd have to construct an Altar to the Cabeiri which is a Thracian building if i'm not wrong
Working Joe Sep 11, 2016 @ 10:42pm
Also, I found another typo:

A vanilla tooltip bug where raiding stance said it reduced growth by a percentage (-5%) when it actually reduces by a flat amount (-5). It is fixed by changing the description in the effects.loc file

:)
Working Joe Sep 9, 2016 @ 7:16pm
Hey brother, I absolutely love your mods! Here's a bug I'm not sure how to tackle:

Large ships (Octeres) that have towers can only fire from the right side, and not at all from the left...

Very strange bug and I cannot figure out a fix in the db...
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 28, 2016 @ 2:05pm
Darowhouse, just confirming you're playing as Rhodes when you notice this? Have you tested without mods? Are there other mods being used that could affect? The data table that governs this should be data_rome2/db/units_to_exclusive_faction_permissions_tables. If another mod overwrites the base files for that specific table it could lead to Rhodes losing Rhodian slingers if you wanted to investigate that further.
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 28, 2016 @ 1:54pm
Areus, today's update fixes that Armenian problem, thx for finding it.
darowhouse Aug 28, 2016 @ 12:20pm
Hmm, i can´t recruit them in level 3 skirmisher camp. sry
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 28, 2016 @ 7:42am
Persanistra, in "vanilla," Dacian Skirm are actually rated light, while Dacian Heavy Skirm, as well as Aux and Merc Skirms are all very light. Note this is just a cosmetic value though... in the vanilla data tables all 4 unit types actually use the same "light" model, which among other things makes them all slightly slower than any "very light" troops. We're assuming the info card weight for DHS/Aux/Merc is the typo there.
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 28, 2016 @ 7:24am
Gudilla, this mod works with but is overwritten by any other mod. A major mod like Radious with extensive changes to data files would likely overwrite some of the changes here.
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 28, 2016 @ 7:23am
Should be recruitable in Grand Campaign with a Level 3 skirmisher camp. Unless you meant Wrath of Sparta campaign, where Rhodian slingers and Cretan archers don't exist yet as units, of course.
Bruce_R  [author] Aug 27, 2016 @ 11:12am
Darowhouse, that issue appeared to have been fixed by CA in Patch 17. Are you saying it's not for you?
darowhouse Aug 3, 2016 @ 5:47am
can u make rhodian slingers recruitable for rhodes?
Warempel Jul 23, 2016 @ 5:36am
Thanks for this mod!

Just one thing I think was Ok in Vanilla.
By Principle: Units should be equivalent to all other units of their type, I think Aux/Merc Dacian Skirmishers should be very_light weight, which is similar to the (unchanged) regular Dacian Skirmishers unit. This also differentiates them again from (changed) Dacian Heavy Skirmishers (also light weight).
Gudilla Jul 7, 2016 @ 8:01am
Is this mode compability to radious?
Bruce_R  [author] Apr 2, 2016 @ 8:12pm
Areus: Interesting. I have no idea what could cause that yet. The data files say Armenia should get 2 Persian Cav in garrison for having that structure, but I agree the Encyclopedia appears to say different.
ddfd Mar 30, 2016 @ 10:50am
Hi, I just noticed playing as Armenia when I try to build the Heavy Horse Studs, it doesn't provide a garrison like the Parthian Heavy Horse Studs.
Jesus Loves You^_^ Mar 2, 2016 @ 2:21am
Super !
Miyamoto Musashi Mar 1, 2016 @ 7:10pm
right on thanks brother
Bruce_R  [author] Mar 1, 2016 @ 6:45pm
Musashi: yes
Miyamoto Musashi Mar 1, 2016 @ 6:29pm

ddfd Feb 24, 2016 @ 6:09pm
not being**
ddfd Feb 24, 2016 @ 6:08pm
thank you good sir this mod is a god send for people who ocd about game features and building stuff being not right, which is me LOL
Bruce_R  [author] Feb 24, 2016 @ 5:52pm
Areus: when you're right you're right. Change made, thanks for pointing that out.
ddfd Feb 17, 2016 @ 7:04am
Hi, I would like to make a request that you change the Royal Peltasts back to having shieldwall, as they are sword units like thorax swords, and royal thorax swords, phalanx is for spear units and royal peltasts are a sword unit, thanks in advance.
Hypar Dec 31, 2015 @ 5:44am
Game fixes are my favorite type of mods. +1
Crimson Sky Dux Dec 25, 2015 @ 9:45am
CA is a failure on this side. They have not given a work on Rome II and only continue to milk from Attila. The worst politic ever. At least you are trying to fix what they don't want to do. Keep up the good work people.
General Jack Ripper Dec 21, 2015 @ 11:29am
Game fixes are my favorite type of mods.
Bruce_R  [author] Nov 29, 2015 @ 6:58pm
You are correct, L.R. Mod updated with that change, with credit.
Andrea  [author] Nov 29, 2015 @ 12:57pm
(Probably even GiG_Ger_Spear_Brothers and GiG_Ger_Spear_Levy have wrong weight)
Andrea  [author] Nov 29, 2015 @ 12:27pm
I was playing Caesar in Gaul campaign and I saw that (Rome) Celtic Warriors (GiG_Celtic_Warriors) are heavy infantry instead of light: can you look at it?
Thunder Bagel Nov 27, 2015 @ 12:38pm
Thank you
Bruce_R  [author] Nov 27, 2015 @ 3:53am
Yeah, sorry about that, fixed now.
Dux Nov 27, 2015 @ 1:30am
Confirmed that the problem was with the recently added campaign variables line. I removed it manually with PFM, and the crashing problem is no more.
