Played a few games; chock full of fun lasting three hours a piece, with the maximum eight players. It's AoE2 as I've never played it: slow, very tense, with plenty of consequences on each minute of gameplay. Quite often a bit of player interaction (especially in the relatively peaceful stages of the opening half hour or so) makes for great times; I look at it more like a primer in psychology than just a wargame. Chances are your mates are lying: how far do you go in keeping the realm together? How do you gain trust, or the needed political edge, and ultimately that win? I see myself sinking many an hour into this scenario.

TL;DR?
Go watch the show and download the game already damnit. We'll see you in Westeros.

Zentus thanks for the tip but im getting constantly error 9 for trying to update my workshop item via the game itself. Even when trying to upload without a preview. However i did manage to upload another item with a preview on it so i guess the problem is just updating an item, heck with it.

Huge, best scenario ever made on this.

Explanation : Few ressources from villagers (which are limitated to 10), the more castle you have, the more ressources you gain. Castle arn't buildable, you just have to destroy the famous keeps of Westeros and rebuild on the spot another castle.

Soldiers cost taxes : don't build an army if you dont plan to attack or defend soon !
Diplomacy : try to ally every lords at the very beggining, care about betrayal, try to grow slowly but not too fast, if lords see you become powerfull, they will ally against you...
To win : 90% of the winners of the scenario are not the strongest player of the game, but the sneakiest... as in the game of thrones world, the winners are always the smartest one...

@Bidderlyn - do the following to add a cover picture:

To add a cover photo click on "Add Preview" in the ingame uploader. It's below the description box.
If you want to update (which you do) a submission to include a cover photo, then reupload the item and give it the same title as the original (it will ask if you want to replace it - say yes). Also, make sure to keep a copy of the description stored somewhere (like a text document) since the update may wipe the description field.
This will not make you lose the subscribers.

Damn, I can only do multiplayer so often but this looks extremely fun!

Just experienced GoT last week coincidentally (first timer), and found this mod by chance. Map looks good, interesting balances, and what looks to be an active community. Going to jump into my first session hopefully soon!

This is seriously just an amazing game. It combines strategy with an all-time loved RTS, which is very great combination. AoE2 Is usally about rushing to the best units and spamming them, but here resources are much more limited which makes you think about which units you want to get. A RISK component is added in too, the castles which give you you resources so the game gives an incentive to not destroy a player, but more to capturing castles for resources. Another great component is the diplomacy. There are so many combinations of just the diplomacy that every game you play will be different. The special abilities of each house also contribute to the fun. Some houses have food and wood, while others have gold and stone, and so you have to trade to get the resources that you need, or just conquer for them ;). All of the buildings and units removed add to the strategic component. 10/10 game, and I highly recommend playing it.

Yeah i can't edit my preview picture, just checked on steam and i must re upload to create a preview image. I don't think im going to do so. If anyone can tell me of a way to edit the preview ill be glad, I came up with nothing.

This is by far my favorite scenario to play. Very thematic, and a very nice change to the normal AOE gameplay.

FUNNEST shit I've ever done

@fNightmare while i agree there shouldn't be too many spoilers that one could use to his advantage, you don't have to use a screenshot of the mini map showing off all the players spawn points and resourches, a Preview picture could simply be a picture of the Iron throne with a Title or the second picture showing here. the purpouse of a Preview-picture is to peek the interest pf whoever's scrolling thru the maps here on steam workshop, mods with previews are a lot more easily recognized ;)

It's fair to note the AI can't handle the changes into gameplay which are simply to massive, so its advised to join the group and take part of the organised MP sessions

@Adawolf the thing with the custom maps is the surprise :P specially if you wanna play online, if you saw it you got advantages against the other players, and thats unfair :)
