... Somehow you missed the Terracotta Army... how is that not included?
Jumpei May 16, 2017 @ 8:18am
the great firewall one really amused me. It CAN'T give a production boost in any aspect! Instead it could cause some negative effect on science and culture! LOL~ I think it would be of more importance to improve some ancient wonders like the terracotta army, great wall, and borobudur etc. they are really weak and have little impact on the later game.

is there a way i can prehaps go into the mod once downloaded and remove the extra spies in the great firewall? i feel it would be too OP and could possibly conflict with mods that involve spies
Mk Z Oct 26, 2015 @ 2:03am
i like the Angkor Wat faith buff very much but other wonders have too many effects
Danny Mar 2, 2015 @ 4:27am
So what is your thought on the purpose of a wonder?
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 23, 2015 @ 11:51am
@Danny I think we fundamentally disagree on the purpose of having Wonders in the game at all.
Danny Feb 23, 2015 @ 10:29am
The only thing I agree with is moving CN tower to be available a bit earlier...
A lot of wonders are more to help to remove a weakness not just give big buffs. :\

Or just because you want to build more wonders as they can make lots of culture for you, for a culture victory. ^^

Is it possible to disable certain wonder changes in the mod? I'd like most of them, but I have another mod that changes the Statue of Zeus already and would prefer to keep the standard Firewall. Great job all around though (I'm digging the Pentagon and Wat changes in particular). ^_^ b

EDIT - Oh, I just looked at some of your other mods and saw mention of deleting folders for stuff I didn't want. I'll assume that works here too. You might want to stick that note in the description for this mod just in case people end up here first like I did. :)

@Iron Dome My Central Station National Wonder transforms all owned road tiles into railroad tiles. That's available as part of my National Wonders mod .
Kinetic Energy Productions Feb 22, 2015 @ 1:51am
@Kajio
Awesome idea about a "Transcontinental Railroad". If you know how to mod, why not make it? That's a good idea you have, and very practical ingame, especailly for large empires...
Axquirix Feb 20, 2015 @ 8:11am
Huh, okay. Thought Krepost was 50% reduction.
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 20, 2015 @ 8:08am
@[UKofE] Axquirix Krepost reduces cost of culture/gold plot acquisition by 25%. It stacks the same way it would have with Angkor Wat. With America bonus its free tile buying... awesome!
Axquirix Feb 20, 2015 @ 7:45am
Okay, so Statue of Zeus halves cost of aquiring new tiles with gold by 50%
So does the Russian Krepost.
Could you check how the two interact, because percentages are usually additive in the game and -100% cost in maybe every city seems... well, beyond overpowered.
Militant Feb 16, 2015 @ 10:40pm
@author true, it's specialized.. but its amazing early when catapults are new and expensive, and if your siege gets taken out or you get down to 1 siege on an attack that 15% for your other troops is quite useful. Of course it's useless if u are going for peaceful victories so it is war specific, which isnt a bad thing.
william.xantos Feb 16, 2015 @ 3:44pm
Kremlin is also a bad wonder that could do with a buff as do Neuschwanstein.
Great FW I disagree compleatly with.
All together nice changes.
Paragon Feb 15, 2015 @ 10:05am
@framedarchitecture Ahh alright, i thought at first the bonuses were added to , not replacing the original effects. This makes the mod seem way more balanced, will give it a try and play around with different civs to see how the new wonders help them. Thanks for making this Wonderful mod ^^
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 15, 2015 @ 7:54am
@Fappadin I removed the city attack bonus, as I don't think it's useful at all (as I explained below). The problem with even a superior Zeus is that you have to open Honor, which is not optimal early game.
Paragon Feb 15, 2015 @ 2:32am
statue of zeus is actually pretty good, buffing it makes it pretty OP (the 15% combat strength vs cities is really good already) and building it as America for example theoretically gives free land purchase
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 13, 2015 @ 10:26pm
@Kajio See my National Wonders mod for a building that will do exactly that (not the worker part).
Allie BONES Feb 13, 2015 @ 9:33pm
I've always wondered about a "Transcontinental Railroad" wonder that turns all existing roads into railroads and perhaps have workers a bonus on constructing future rail/roads.
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 13, 2015 @ 10:14am
@satdanov No, Neuschwanstein doesn't do that. In fact there is no existing game mechanic to do that, though I did add something like that in one of my modded National Wonders.
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 13, 2015 @ 9:40am
@af17317596 You can delete the file named "Great Firewall.sql" in the mod folder to restore that wonder to its base game stats.

For my part I think the GF is useless. If you engineer a wonder late game it's going to be Hubble, which means you probably spend the hammers to hard build GF. But if there are civs with tech parity that late in the game (i.e. civs who will benefit a lot by stealing tech from you), then those hammers are better spent on units to take their cities and cripple their science. I find that a Police Station + max level spy in my science cities is very adequate defense.

Note that my changes to GF allow it to contribute to several victory types, making it a more flexible and valuable wonder.
Robo-Pig Feb 13, 2015 @ 7:20am
@framedarchitecture I actually always remember getting free railroads around the city it's built in, basically extending to the closest cities in that area. It's sort of an unmentioned bonus, I don't know why.
af17317596 Feb 13, 2015 @ 6:06am
hey can you bring back firewalls 99.99% reduction, i loved building that thing
Polyester™ Feb 12, 2015 @ 4:33pm
Damn, Firewall got a big ass nerf.
Zeca Trovadinha Feb 12, 2015 @ 12:44pm
op pentagon?
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 12, 2015 @ 4:31am
@satdanov Does Neuschwanstein affect railroads? I don't think so, though it is placed on Railroad tech in the base game. As far as I know its bonuses are still +yields on all castles.
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 12, 2015 @ 4:16am
@|PLA| Militant Zeus seems very weak to me. If you're taking cities, you've already won the war, so that small bonus will at most save you a turn or two of siege. And a huge hammer investment early on for a few turns of siege -- when you could have been building more units or infrastructure -- is just a waste. The bonuses I add will be useful the entire game.
NocturnalEye Feb 11, 2015 @ 10:57pm
*sees pentagon and gawps* subbing this
Militant Feb 11, 2015 @ 9:48pm
Standard Statue of Zues is already good... Permenant +15% city attack to all units is, uh... GOOD
framedarchitecture  [author] Feb 11, 2015 @ 4:11pm
@Give Me Your Milk Moving the wonder earlier in the tech tree makes it more valuable. CN Tower is so late in the game that its virtually irrelevant right now.
pprtrl Feb 11, 2015 @ 3:47pm
Why would CN Tower be moved to Penicillin?
Robo-Pig Feb 11, 2015 @ 9:16am
Neuschwanstein makes sense. I can see how you would have to terraform and blast bits of the mountain off to make it, but one question: will you still get the free railroads? As far as I know, Dynamite is before Railroads in the tech tree.
