@Iron_raven-2182 I'm glad its not just me going crazy
Iron_Raven-2182 Aug 13, 2023 @ 1:56pm
Nice in theory, but game just crashes upon placing, and given other comments, I don't think it's on my end.

Replace <Definition> with :

<Definition xsi:type="MyObjectBuilder_ShipConnectorDefinition">

You need to do this again further down for the small grid variant.

If only I knew the folder number, I've got 319 folders in my workshop\current\content folder. I would apply Digi's recommendation but searching through these folders ...nah :))

As much as I loved you and we've been together a long time I'm going to have to break up with you, DK Slim Connector. I keep forgetting your CTD my game. Maybe we'll meet again?

Maison De Cornusiac Apr 14, 2022 @ 1:28am
No idea how to find it. Why can't somone republish this mod in fixed version? Suppose the author, after seven years, won't object.
Maison De Cornusiac Apr 14, 2022 @ 1:22am
Sorry if I as non-modder ask a stupid question, but where do I find that line in vanilla connector? Is it from the file "connector.mwm" in /content/models/cubes/large ?
Digi Mar 8, 2022 @ 9:44pm
If you do wanna fix the crash, all you need to do is copy the <Definition line from vanilla connector, it has a xsi:type thing since SE v192, but it only became a problem now as they require it to be properly defined :P
Fu$ion Feb 25, 2022 @ 11:34am
Yep , game crashes when i place the connector.
AngelMarc Feb 6, 2022 @ 1:29pm

Nice job, man.
gaming.jack Oct 1, 2020 @ 11:18am
Wonderful but broken Mod. Game and whole PC crash when opening G-Menu or ESC-Menu. Had to deinstall it :/
Yemto Sep 27, 2020 @ 10:01pm
This connector is perfect for what I need, but since it hasn't been updated since 2015 is discouraging, and I can't find any other mod like it.
Storm Jun 1, 2020 @ 6:47pm
So needed
Aszinine Aug 22, 2019 @ 3:25pm
Keen seems to have broken most, if not all Connector mods in adding their new option for auto disconnecting connected ships. Just a heads up ^^ lol
Skallabjorn May 29, 2018 @ 12:11pm
Will the emisives be updated on this as well as the texturing or is it abandoned?
Shabazza Nov 25, 2017 @ 10:44am
They work, but the light ring is not working, which is impractical... Hope this is still an active mod.
It's really useful.
Ulfgaar Oct 28, 2017 @ 2:58am
Really missing these....
frogit04 Sep 4, 2017 @ 10:54am
@duncankong are you still in the SE modding community?
Slye_Fox Jul 17, 2017 @ 8:27pm
Any chance of these being updated to fit the new model design?
dRuPpI Jul 4, 2017 @ 3:30pm
can canfirme the lighting is broken now needs fix
Mainframe Apr 27, 2017 @ 5:51am
wasn't it possible to keep in within the boundaries of a single block?
Critor Apr 14, 2017 @ 6:35am
@duncankong - My game seems to crash out alot, normally when I am accessing via your Slim Connector. Not sure if it this mod, but does it need updating to take into account the newest patches.?

Thanks
Varaxian Apr 6, 2017 @ 3:05pm
Hi Duncan. Sent you a FR. I'd like to speak to you about some future stuff, if you're still at all interested in SE. :P
Rusted Droid Jan 5, 2017 @ 4:38pm
The latest update broke the status lights... Connector works but status lights do not. Only turn off status
Vas Aug 20, 2016 @ 5:58pm
When I tried this, I couldn't get my connectors to work. I had a Slim version on both sides too.
nico445e Apr 9, 2016 @ 1:36pm
Too large.
DrGusGus Jan 20, 2016 @ 2:23pm
I am having an issue with this mod crashing my server whenever someone other than myself connected to it. Anyone else run into this?
harber33. Jan 16, 2016 @ 3:16pm
can you mack trantracks?
harber33. Jan 16, 2016 @ 3:15pm
nice job
duncankong  [author] Jan 11, 2016 @ 12:17pm
@Galenmacil I agree but when I made the mod there was no way to specifically define a cargo capacity for connectors. (as far as I know it is still not possible)
Galenmacil Jan 10, 2016 @ 10:17pm
Since they are slimer than vanilla connector, they should hold way less as well. Just a balance idea...
Captain Awesome Dec 16, 2015 @ 2:12am
Any chance of getting a slim ejector? or a smallship 1x1 connector?
Kosmoski Oct 31, 2015 @ 3:19am
really good. The long docking range keeps the connectors from blowing up. I've needed to rebuild my cargo ship countless times with stock connectors.
LordChicken Oct 22, 2015 @ 8:12pm
@duncankong That is useful information about the dummies. I too have a slim connector mod I made a while back that has that flipping problem and have not spent much time on trying to solve it. When I make the time I need to go back and take a look at it and try to fix it and update it. :D
duncankong  [author] Sep 1, 2015 @ 2:39pm
@The Evil Beaver There is an invisible "dummy" that determines where connectors connect. This "dummy" is oriented according to whichever side it is closest to. Since my connector takes up less than half a block if I put the "dummy" too close to the bottom half of the 1x1x1 block then ships would rotate the wrong way when connecting.

Long story short: It pushes you away because if I moved the connection point any closer to the model then any ship that attempted to connect would try to flip upside down.
The Evil Beaver Aug 31, 2015 @ 6:43pm
why does it push my ship up?
dreckspatzmk Jun 29, 2015 @ 7:19pm
Thx for your work on DX11 :)
Duster Jun 2, 2015 @ 4:10pm
This is one of the best mods imo. But it doesn't work in DX11. The developers take space, while the modders save space generally. Developer spaces are empty and hollow. Modder spaces are interesting, provide context and are more fun. Hope you update this one!
Akiren May 31, 2015 @ 9:20am
Love your slim connectors duncankong, was wondering if there was a DX11 update planned?
Shadowreaver Apr 17, 2015 @ 8:11am
@Wizard76 such a connection is already possible between two ships with Hangar dorrs and merge blocks just build a airlock with at least one merge and surround it with the doors facing the other ship if you then connect the ships you can close the hangar and you can fload the room with oxygen.
wizard76 Apr 2, 2015 @ 11:04am
Hi, could you create such flat connector as a docking ring where it is possible to walk through to use it as an airlock, to make a save door connection between two ships or ship and station, so that oxygen can float between without lose?
