The link to the credited map by cyhborg doesn't work. Very interesting solution.

Yea, it's a dumb glitch with Portal 2's engine.

Ok, i did everything like you intended and if i understand right : the faith plate remove the weight of cubes ???

I finished this test chamber but none of these faith plate help me in my tasks....I must check your video solution. Thumb's up anyway :)

@WGS - popped a solution video up there by the screenshots. Operon isn't too bad, it's just a little out of the box.

Could it be that I didn't read the description? Duh. :)

It's a good puzzle. I just had trouble with the friction which I shouldn't have. I set it up and ran but it always stopped functioning before I could get to the exit. After reading your comment about friction and watching that video, I went back and did it again and it worked. Thumbs up.

OK, how do you begin ? I get the quirk in the game engine part (which is normally not a good idea to require quirks in solutions explained here ). I really need a solution video! I get to play cyhborg's Operon first but his maps are just way to technical and precise for my tastes, like Pirahna.A and josepezdj. I am just mentally exhausted playing just one or two of cyhborg's chambers!

Well that's a problem. How'd you do that?
jgaultney Dec 31, 2014 @ 12:05pm
Fantastic! Until now, I never knew faithplates could be that useful :) One problem
though, I got to the exit and left, using only the first cube. Good thing for me because
I never did figure out how to get that second cube anyway :)

Cool, maybe you can make disappear the faith plates under a flip panel that closes after having let pass the cube..

Here's a demonstration, if I wasn't clear -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F88_gFhDYt4

You learn me something oO

Spoiler -> Due to a quirk of the Portal 2 engine, boxes are affected by air resistance until they touch a faith plate , then air friction goes away on them forever. This test requires boxes to float between two portals - with no air resistance - so I need to "turn it off" with the faith plate. Crazy, right? I'll make a video.

Score! Good ideas but your description with the faith plates is very confusing...I don't understand what you mean, they are totally useless..
Thumbs up.
