"pay to win" i meant if you die to this while a heavy is literally screaming and is standing still for like 3 seconds IN A MEELEE RANGE then yes you deserve dying to this

With the new update, I'm certain this one will get in now!

Straight from "Meet the Spy" so the idea is cool (I hope the heavy says: "Incoming" while using it).

Small issue : It's a pay to win taunt.

I would suggest going for swinging the bottom part that looks like a gallon of water instead, that way Heavy's arms don't have to go as far and you can add more emphasis to the swing by wrapping it further around his body rather than out, allowing his arms to stay tucked in and then re-adjust to his base standing animation.

His intention is to kill someone with this minigun swing so it would make more sense for him to swing the big circular part with all his force as its bigger and let his body go with the momentum rather than awkwardly stopping to hit enemies directly with the front part. It also just communicates DEATH better to any enemies about to walk into it.

Regardless, I do really like the idea and im mainly just struggling with the execution and how it looks.
Can-Tank! (erous) Goblin May 24 @ 3:40am
It would be nice to have a video showing just the taunt in a test room. The teaser kinda over-dramatizes it and makes it hard to tell how it'll actually look in game.

I do think Heavy would do this in his usual moments of getting way too engaged in violence, but I think the executions a bit sluggish. Obviously these heavy ass miniguns are indeed heavy, but I think a bit more oomf should be put into the hit. Heavy seemingly slows down towards the end of the swing causing it to look as if the worst this could do is knock you back rather than knock your ass out. I assume the issue is probably that Heavy's arms would stretch too long so you pulled it back towards the end to keep it from getting too cartoony like he has rubber arms?

very good taunt
Notso May 16 @ 11:38pm
Heavy would never threat his beloved gun like this...
Heavy in Car May 11 @ 10:28am
I thought of a possible addition to the taunt, where after impaling an enemy with a minigun, the heavy would just stun them and then spin the machine gun and fire (and maybe the huo long heater would create flames around the heavy during the taunt), but that's just my opinion.
major francis fan May 11 @ 3:30am
as much as i love tauntkills, i heavily doubt enough effort would be put in to add another one in
Skeet May 10 @ 11:27am
i think this would be cool to add just as a taunt for one of heavies miniguns like the brass beast
tacky May 10 @ 9:15am
"p2w taunt" issue aside i think the animation is a bit lacking. but i think its otherwise cool, fits heavy's character well
Dreadnaught May 8 @ 10:53pm
Now THIS is what a good taunt kill submission looks like...
Grambee  [author] May 8 @ 3:52pm
fingergun: 3.966
batteringun: 4.100

fingergun kills a little before 2 seconds. batteringgun kills a little after 2 seconds.

thx for the anim critique jams & DJ :Janitor_Heart:
GasLeakGaming May 8 @ 3:37pm
jams it is shorter than the fingergun emote
jams May 8 @ 3:58am
love the concept, but the animation is a bit lacking imo. there doesn’t seem to be a satisfying impact at the end of the swing, and the animation as a whole is quite short by tauntkill standards, bringing balancing issues into the question. i do hope this gets worked on some more, because i love this new influx of community-made tauntkills!

Id imagine he should throw it forward faster, maybe even lose balance slightly and step forward with it a bit before recovering
DJ L3G3ND May 7 @ 5:27pm
idk if its just me but it looks like an incredibly weak shove on the still shots
Grambee  [author] May 7 @ 1:58pm
True, Ziumy. this would be nice to have for KGB or GRU users. You'd no longer have to trade away your only tauntkill. I don't think that advantage will hold over the better options, but thats somethin to consider.
Zeugziumy May 7 @ 12:17pm
The end of the video that shows being slower than his Fists tauntkill is really clever. Also, although I did mention about paid taunt kills on another submission, technically, not every available tauntkill in the game right now is exatcly free. Some are locked behind non-Achievement weapons. Although you can drop said weapons, they are also for sale on the store.

My point still stands, however. While this is slower than his Fists taunt, the fact that you could technically still use it while not having the Fists, Apoco-Fists, Saxxy or Holiday Punch equipped / active means there is gameplay advantage, even if just a little.
Mike Habbages May 7 @ 10:35am
This brings to mind an interesting point: Why doesn't Heavy have any kind of "charge" like the one he does in Meet the Spy? Would be an interesting idea for a new weapon.

Anyway, I like the idea and I wish there were a way to implement this in-game that didn't involve paying for the taunt or overwriting the stock minigun taunt.
edmord May 7 @ 9:36am
I see a lot of people have the same thought as I do, so I'm not gonna bring up "paying for kill taunt" thing as much, even when I don't aprove of that idea.

My only question here is: will this taunt work without holding our primary?
With other taunts, it dosen't matter what weapon you're holding for it to work. This one however, feels like it needs heavy's primary in hands to activate. But that would make it somewhat of an advantage, even if it takes a while to do the said "advantage" lol.

Despite this minor criticism, I really love how it turned out!
Instead of being a taunt to pay, I could see this post as a suggestion for Brass Beast taunt replacement? The gun slows you down and has heavy feel to it when compered to other miniguns ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

It could go against heavy's personality maybe (that being naming each minigun and caring for it like it's child)? But having a diffrent taunt for at least view of his primaries, would be a nice change of things if being honest.
bloopah May 7 @ 8:05am
I'd love it to be a kill taunt on a new weapon, I feel iffy about the concept of paid taunts being able to kill players.
setry May 7 @ 7:37am
love the creativity on this
Endi May 7 @ 4:22am
This is a really good and beffiting taunt, well done!
jarritos May 7 @ 3:49am
My recommendation would be to increase the time Heavy's in his second pose (when the Heavy has the gun cocked back).
I fear that his first pose (when he arches forward) could be confused for the minigun's default taunt, confusing players and decreasing the amount of time to react.
JAS-C May 7 @ 3:09am
@Woshee oh, really? I missed that out. Does this email appeared anywhere public so you can remind me or is it private stuff?
Globaduy May 7 @ 2:57am
I really don't know how feel about that. I don't mind to see this in game, but only as free taunt kill
Woshee May 7 @ 2:23am
Otherwise it wouldn't be worth pursuing besides the currently extremely rare chance they look at the workshop for ideas of a taunt kill for a weapon they are making.
Woshee May 7 @ 2:20am
Valve sent in an email that they are okay with taunt kill submissions and are open to having some in the game a while ago which is why you are seeing some submissions about it now.
Abby Shapiro's Huge Heifers May 7 @ 12:01am
Out of all the taunt kills uploaded to the workshop, this is probably the strongest one. It's straight to the point without any unnecessary theatrics, and tied to an equipped weapon rather than an extraneous prop. Plus it fits Heavy's personality really well!

It is somewhat concerning however, that an item that has direct involvement in the gameplay is locked behind a paywall - especially as a taunt that is quite fast. For instance, if there was a paid sniper taunt kill that did not require the huntsman to be equipped, then it would technically pose as an advantage over other players who don't own it - after all no sniper rifle has a taunt kill attached to it by default.

That aside, I wouldn't be super upset if this got in anyways.
JAS-C May 6 @ 11:35pm
I'm in mixed feelings. On one side, I thought for long time "We had almost every kind of taunts except killing ones" and now it's finally hear. But on other - isn't it just weird that you can pay for separate animation that guaranteed to kill your opponent? But it's pretty in style of old TF2, short and straight to deal, and also supports different types of minigun. I say "No" but "Fave" it for a balance(idk how those stats adds up).
Noras The Goat May 6 @ 11:21pm
Ngl for a paid tauntkill I'm fine with a fast tauntkill that's p2w rather than a tauntkill that's slower but more p2w looking
AndyO's™ May 6 @ 11:20pm
Lovely work as always
Grambee  [author] May 6 @ 11:12pm
Cipherlock I thought ab that too, but the reasoning boiled down to "it'd look less p2w" which isn't true anyway. The Pow! Taunt still beats this in every way.
Pinewabble May 6 @ 10:49pm
It's a pretty neato idea, but it does feel a bit too fast for a kill taunt?
Also, I feel like it's a bit harder to tell at a glance that he's about to do the kill taunt versus just using the gun normally?
