A patch for Dark Ages: Beasts and Monsters ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3472275628&searchtext=dark+age ) would be swell if you have the opportunity, it's a very solid animal mod. The colony children yearn for a borged out Imperial Redhound.

@1g23
I don't want to. Too many animals. But I would be willing to accept a patch for it.
1g23 Aug 23 @ 11:28pm
Could you add compatibility with Vanilla Genetics Expanded? I would love to see my genetically modified Thrumbo-horse become a cyborg Thrumbo-horse!
cucumpear Aug 23 @ 8:17am
I'll do that, hopefully still today.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 23 @ 7:23am
@cucumpear
I would prefer if you sent me your patch so that I could integrate it. Could you do it? The Github link is at the top of the description.
cucumpear Aug 23 @ 4:50am
Hi, I finally finalised the 1.6/Odyssey update for Animal Collab Project, and I'm seeing a huge number of errors with the patch. I disabled it locally and made my own which is basically the same thing but works for some reason.
Could you look into what's going on or disable your patch so I can have mine run (that update isn't live, obviously)? I don't mind either way, but since I have two load folders depending on whether Odyssey is active or not it might be easier to patch on my end.

"dam my galatross got some early cataracts, but doesnt matter cuz good ol ADS got my back!
ADS:shakes head in denial" :deadrat:
good thing to come is that now i know a lot more of extra fauna mods :balatro_egg:
Onix Nidhogg Aug 20 @ 10:41am
Hello, seems this mod is incompatible with Dark Ages : Beasts and Monsters, as the options to install prosthetics do not appear.
Mr. T-XP x64 Crosby Edition Aug 15 @ 2:57pm
Would it be possible to get the removed parts as a separate mod? I understand the rationale behind separating the ones not present in the base game, but its impossible rn to find a bionic animal liver to tack onto this mod.
Ememf Aug 7 @ 7:00am
Bionic animal tongue unable to implant on thurmbo or hive queen (not shown on surgery list)
Bionic animal tail unable to implant on thurmbo (I remember it used to work)
Any plan for insectoid inplant? (bionic pronotum and elytra, etc)
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 6 @ 11:48pm
@chocoavena
Should be compatible, but there is a lot of overlap. Probably no reason to have both mods at the same time.
chocoavena Aug 6 @ 6:09pm
is this compatible with cyber fauna or will it just overlap?
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 6 @ 7:22am
@Le Seegert
No.
Le Seegert Aug 6 @ 6:51am
Hey quick question. When you say patched for vanilla expanded animals, does that include genetics expanded?
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 6 @ 4:52am
@FireCloud
Noted, will fix.
FireCloud Aug 6 @ 3:57am
Hi, I like this mod, found a minor patch issue with Grimstone: Beast.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3535302121

In the latest version, they renamed Grimstone_EmporerVulture to Grimstone_EmperorVulture.
./3238353862/1.6/ModCompat/GrimstoneBeasts/Patches/Category_Patches_GrimstoneBeasts.xml, line 25.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 5 @ 12:41pm
@Omega13
It's not sourcery. If you have XML Extentions installed, it will have a settings menu for my mod.
Omega13 Aug 5 @ 11:57am
Eh, not really anything I feel inclined to do any mod sorcery for or to download another, separate mod to just make this mod work. I just thought it would be cute to try to keep my guinea pig alive forever for fun, since that seems to be kind of the whole concept of this mod. Was just wondering if I was doing something wrong on my end. Thanks!
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Aug 5 @ 11:40am
@Omega13
Yes. You can disable it via the XML Extentions settings menu or simply by manually editting the files.
Omega13 Aug 5 @ 9:44am
I am unable to install a bionic animal heart into a guinea pig. Is there a size limit for bionics?
notdexterousatall Aug 3 @ 1:10pm
My dog just lost a leg to a raider (who we executed, obviously) so now I'm here to make sure she can still zoom around on a fancy prosthetic leg. Great work
BendingUnit29 Jul 29 @ 5:50am
Thanks!
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 29 @ 5:36am
@BendingUnit29
It's only intermediate. Bionics are not advanced trainability animals.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 29 @ 5:33am
@roachsprouts
If you have XML Extentions you can disable prosthetic restrictions.
BendingUnit29 Jul 29 @ 5:28am
I can not install a detox lung into my giant toad. From my understanding it should be possible since its trainable is this a bug? Or am I missing something?
roachsprouts Jul 28 @ 5:00pm
PLEASE ADD CATEGORY 1 ANIMAL PROSTHETICS PLEASE I BEG... all the way back in 1.4 one of my colonists ended up shooting a baby chick's entire leg off and i wanted to give the poor thing its leg back but the only option was a WOODEN PEG LEG. I FELT SO GUILTY!!!!!!!! that little baby deserved so much better than a stick for a leg pls just let me waste my resources pleas
ChickenMadness Jul 28 @ 5:21am
lol I mean vicious* made a typo ::steamhappy:
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 28 @ 5:09am
Viscous? What do you meat?
ChickenMadness Jul 28 @ 4:20am
Damn that robot monkey in the screenshots looks viscous lol.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 27 @ 12:59am
@Aggel3
Can YOU add a patch? Sure. The Github link is at the top of the description, send in your pull request.
Aggel3 Jul 27 @ 12:28am
Dear, can I please add a patch for "The Profaned"? my varga-porter's jaw was blown off, now he can't perform his functions (((. I would be very grateful)))
↓↓Wolfie Jul 26 @ 11:51am
Yay! You're the best. <3
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 26 @ 3:35am
Should work now.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 26 @ 2:49am
@↓↓Wolfie
Alright.
↓↓Wolfie Jul 25 @ 5:59pm
Hiya, any chance for compatibility with Megafauna? [ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1055485938 ] I have a poor Andrewsaurchus that has asthma in both lungs and mech serums are pretty difficult to get ones hands on, lol.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 25 @ 1:25pm
@Cyanide Dreemurr
What was the load order issue? I should probably enforce this.
Cyanide Dreemurr Jul 25 @ 11:15am
NVM, changing the load order fixed it
Cyanide Dreemurr Jul 25 @ 11:12am
Hi, even with animal categories turned off, the only prosthetic option available for my disabled crow is peg legs. Can this be fixed?
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 21 @ 3:27am
@ALIENS = FALLEN ANGELS
Thrumbos can have bionics. What exactly is the issue?
ALIENS = FALLEN ANGELS Jul 21 @ 2:46am
my thrumbo has a bad heart and i can't heal it. :(
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 21 @ 12:13am
@tulfix
It is.
tulfix Jul 20 @ 6:41pm
Sure its been asked. Is this compatible with 'Dinosauria'? XD Bionic Spinosaurus with armor is the nerds wet dream lol
Blocknight Jul 19 @ 10:09pm
I'm really surprised this still isn't vanilla, especially with the addition of the sentience catalyst and more training options. Thanks for maintaining it.
idreamofgeni Jul 17 @ 2:55pm
I didn't mean human blood, but sure.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 16 @ 10:54pm
@idreamofgeni
No. Animal bionicts are perfectly reasinable, but putting human blood into animals is too much. Different animals have different blood type systems. And crabs and snails have completely different blood.
idreamofgeni Jul 16 @ 6:27pm
I've noticed there's no vanilla (and no other modded?) ability to give animals blood transfusions. It seems like something that this mod could potentially cover. Might that be possible to add?
trouter Jul 16 @ 4:49pm
For anyone looking to use bionics in birds, you can add the following to Animal_Categories.xml, under the first RecipeDef ("ADS_Cat3"):

<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Sparrow</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Crow</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Bluebird</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Quail</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Macaw</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Flamingo</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Heron</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Swan</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Peacock</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Vulture</li>
<li MayRequire="ludeon.rimworld.odyssey">Penguin</li>

Should cover all the birds from Odyssey's defs.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] Jul 16 @ 1:40pm
Rimworld birds don't have wings. They are not a part of their body plan, and no "wing" body part exists. If it did, I would have added artificial replacements for them.
trouter Jul 16 @ 11:27am
Unfortunately, there are no wooden wings LMAO
Gniwu Jul 16 @ 11:06am
Well, now I'm picturing a bird with crudely-fashioned wooden boards attached in place of its wings...
