I'm having a strange issue, I think it's related to deep storage or similar mods that changes the amount of stacks per cell.
When using the metal crate, the "unique" texture is hidden under the "empty/ open" texture.
Not sure if it's a compatibility issue or just a known bug, I would love some help.
You're right though, it does its job. Easier for managing mixed / miscellaneous foodstuffs instead of building ever more barrels (i mean... i could also use mixed / miscellaneous foodstuffs in barrels as well but the textures are too good)
The pantry shelf doesn't change textures. A bit lame, but it does its job.
I've just had exactly the same issue.
Uninstalled a large pallet and now everythings shrunk or cut off weirdly

anyway, a couple of large pallets were uninstalled not long before it happened and some storage pics shrunk... the last time it happened some shelves or pantries shrunk.. (in pic size)
mods used
- brrainz.harmony
- Ludeon.RimWorld
- adaptive.storage.framework
- phaneron.basic.storage
- klvlt.asf.medicinecrate
- klvlt.allstorageinoneplace
newest log was about 40 odd minutes before the shrinking..
Rotting and deterioration are different things in rw. Deteriotion is the damage caused by stuff being outside and not under a roof. Normal shelves have the same description and do the same thing. Rotting is seperate from that and no building in this mod prevents it.
Try uninstalling and dowloading the mod again. Something like this is usually either a steam issue or something another mod does. If it's the latter one, I'd need more information to help you.
But… some of you seem to misunderstand my goal with this mod, or maybe I should have made it more clear. While this mod allows you to store stuff more efficiently than with just vanilla shelves, that isn’t really what I personally wanted when creating it. It’s mainly meant to give you more visually interesting ways to store items in a way that makes your base look better and is not just a room full of shelves.
If you still don't have enough storage space use OgreStack.
- Meat hook: Stores Corpses.
- Pantry shelf: Can hold more food (not meals) per cell than any other storage building.
- Meal cupboard: Store meals efficiently.
- Added new textures to the food barrel.
- Changed how the sack works. Now changes texture depending on content like the food barrel
does. This might break already existing sacks in your base and give you errors on startup.
- Updated various textures.
and yeah, you're right. I love this mod, but some of the options are just not usable for me. I would like to use the container to store survival meals (because the Reel's container can't store food), but on the same space of the container I can place down 4 food shelves for a total capacity of 80 instead of 24. they look like ass tho, which is why I'd like to use the container.
I'd love to see increased storage capacity on the large and more expansive containers, or at least have it be configurable in the settings.
For now we are probably going to stick with LWM's Deep Storage, as that works without issues with MP.
How does this change what I said before? This still seems like a Framework level issue and not something this mod does on its own.
All right, I see.
I have posted it there, so will see.
Hopefully it can be fixed.
Thanks for the info and suggestion!
I could, but I won't in this case. Mp mod is a niche mod that is prone to incompatibility, so this isn't a big enough issue for me to do that. They'll see it whenever you post your report on the ASF page.
Thank you! Will try.
As you are involved with that mod as well, would it be possible to relay this discovery to them?
That's unfortunate, but nothing that sounds like it has to do with my mod specifically. This should be reported on the adaptive storage framework page. I can't do anything about it.
