Watching the video brought a tear to my eye. This is truly a marvel of SE engineering!
I raise my glass to you! Marvelous work!

You have my honest congratulation with this build.:steamhappy:

I haven't used many ships from the workshop so I can't say how it compares to ships of similar size for PCU, glad to hear you think it's not that much. Also haven't played any multiplayer, I'm curious to know if the ship is balanced in that sense. Any feedback is welcome in that regard.

By the way, if anyone ends up using this ship in multiplayer and would like a guided tour or needs help with the ship printer or something, feel free to get in touch! :)

160k PCU is really not that much for Hiigara. I'm impressed and will give it a test.

A beautiful banana ship.

Needs 600.000 cryo pods.

When I realized the potential Space Engineers offered with the AI and timer blocks.. I almost didn't dare believe this was possible. Still gives me the chills just standing there as a tiny engineer. Having the little grinder ship finish grinding the brace, seeing the side panel lift off, dragging this massive ship along with it. SE is so cool for being able to automate this all :steamhappy:

@jethor Thumbs up for spreading the praise... and yeah the hardest part of the implementation is the implementation, so good job. :) I've watched a video or two of his, I was very impressed. He knows a lot more than I do. He had a ton of great ideas in the videos I watched. Very innovative.

The side of the ship coming off and the printed ship coming out was just great. It was a long long time ago that I played Homeworld, and I'd forgotten about that entirely, so I was pretty surprised, and kinda blown away. Then it was very graceful the way it broke away from the ship, it felt like it was still tethered to the ship. That really did it for me.

Amazing job!

Thanks everyone :)

@CosmicDonut I can't claim the original idea to use rotors and piston heads like this. I did a bunch of research a while ago, and think I took inspiration from a youtube channel called BlackArmor, who uploaded a cool elevator design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3OGq5NKgaU

I'll take credit for the variable speeds though and all the tweaking to make things work :)
I had it all working before Event controllers were introduced using timer blocks. The Event controllers really help to streamline the process.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome! :) I love it.

@jethor I was very impressed with the rotor head idea for the printer. Very cool. I will definitely be using that in the future. Man. Just awesome. I could use it for a hole boring/elevator machine for example. Super cheap PCU wise compared to merge blocks, and you can transfer materials without also requiring a connector.

Nice Job!

Fleet Command Online. Amazing Job man, I love this.

Thank you :)

I loved Homeworld as a kid but I'm too old and slow for RTS games now. I'd much rather spend way too much time building a huge space banana.
CosmicDonut Mar 4, 2024 @ 6:38am
Looks awesome man, good job:steamthumbsup:

Wow! The work gone into this is incredible. Even though I'm not a massive Homeworld fan I can appreciate the incredible amount of work and effort gone into this. Awesome build!

I ran out of space in the item's description, had a whole piece prepared on the mods and scripts I use, oh well. Mods are linked in the mod collection. As for scripts:

None of the scripts are necessary for the operation of the ship, but I use a few which I really like.

Taleden's Inventory Manager - Updated NEW 2022 - Great for sorting cargo containers and refineries and such. Alot of the cargo containers are tagged with [TIM] tags, making things a bit more neat and less cluttered.
Projector2LCD - When printing with the CAP Construction facility in survival, you'll need to have all components ready otherwise the print will fail. This script helps a lot. It doesn't work for modded components by default but I'm fine with that.
Automatic LCDs 2 - This script is great for showing more info on LCD's.
