The mod somehow managed to fuck up the AI, it freezes the game in aug 43 because it cant find airfield. Beyond that, nice mod.

Update on mod issue: For some reason, it seems the mod conflict causing issues was with Equipment Conversion, for future reference!

no idea why but this mod seems bugged out, running with a few other mods granted but none of them should in theory alter aircraft deisgn (stuff like toolpack, 50 building slots, special project best outcome, etc) but for some reason all the special slots added for particular equipment (such as engine aspiration) are permanently locked. Very confusing.

I love this mod so far. It's addressed a lot of my grievances with aircraft, though one still remains: Large Airframes are, well, largely useless. They can only be used for strategic and naval bombing.

I know it's a long shot and I don't know how big of an ask this is... but could you make it so large airframes can mount the same modules tactical bombers use? That way they can be like more expensive, longer-range, "heavy" tactical bombers. Maybe even let them equip fighter weapons like some kind of weird super-heavy fighter.

I just never see a use for large airframes since strategic bombing is really weak unless you're using a ton of them-- but if you can produce a ton of aircraft, you might as well produce fighters and CAS. Giving large airframes the ability to equip tactical bomber modules would at least give them another reason to exist.

For some reason this seems to be breaking with the latest DLC. It's causing the new British and French puppets (Palestine, Jordan, Kuwait, Burma, Lebanon and Syria) to not actually be puppets.

Since a lot of the tech changed, I forgot to add the compressor and rocket techs into one of the new existing techs. It should be fixed now.

Single Stage Rocket and Compressor are now under Experimental Rockets. Dual Stage Rocket and Improved Compressor are now under Dual Chamber Rockets.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Sorry about that. You have to change engine aspiration to "Compressor" instead of the piston engine types of "Naturally Aspirated", "Turbocharger", and "Supercharger".

Ah, also, maybe tweaking drop tanks to a percentage (somewhere between 15 and 30% increase, or maybe allow single/double tank versions?) rather than +300km might make them a little more balanced for the 1936 era. Maybe tweak the cost or the modification cost to make up for it?

Just giving this a try now and i like it so far, especially medium naval patrol!

a suggestion: it would be nice to have the squadrons behave like the large patrol bombers, with an air wing size of 10 instead of 100. i tweaked the config file locally so honestly nbd if that's not a change you want to make around balance.

I finally updated it! Sorry it took so long (I'm in the middle of starting a business in real life, so this isn't exactly on the front burner).

I had to remove MIO and National Focus stuff temporarily so that I could just get a version up and running for you guys. I'll go through those two items at a later date. Also, the AI may not be so great at updating planes. It will do reasonably well, but there are some additional files that govern AI behavior in this regard that I still need to go through.

Let me know if there are any issues.

@BritishTeaEnjoyer Unless 1.15 changed things (haven't looked at the files recently) squadron size is part of the equipment entries on planes - so you won't be able to use them together. Unless Colonel O'Neill makes a version of this specifically for other squadron sizes, or you alter the game files yourself.

UPDATE: I'm still working on it, piece by piece. It is a SUPER extensive change that Paradox made to the files, so I have to go through each and every one with a fine-toothed comb.

Also, I do not have a lot of time since I have real life stuff going on too. Hopefully, this will be completed by the end of the year.

Sorry, I know it's been a while since the update came out.

I've started modifying the files, but almost all of the files have changed significantly . . . so it's a very long slog through all of the files to update them - not to mention the fact that many of the changes are very fundamental to the game, so I have to balance what I used to have as a change against the "new" game . . . should I keep it, should I not . . . YIKES. It's a lot!

This is going to sound weird, but could you make a variant without the additional MIOs? Red Flood has compatibility issues with it.
