Check that you are in survival mode in game but also now players spawn in rovers on planets now and puts your rover in the water most of the time so using a spawn pod mod is a good idea, i use my own https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3034634539 so i can spawn in a ship but i have noticed a bug with water mod planets when in a ship pod after spawning in where when you try flying the ship it just wants to tilt up all the time but when used on non water mod planet works fine so i don't know whats up with that. i see a spawn pod mod a while back that droped players in a raft for water mod planets but don't know if that one still works.
Cool features: Detailed & deep ocean floor, winding rivers slicing through the continent, abundance of high altitude terrain, overall high level of detail.
Only downside is the relatively basic appearance from space (but still significantly better than vanilla.) The lack of desert terrain is also not a downside as it gives Pertam more relevance in my solar system.
