The performance is an issue we are aware of.
The space between mid and spawn is ordinary, if not shorter than some other maps like highpass. Time yourself going from spawn to the midpoint and compare it to other maps.
I don't understand how the map encourages sentry turtling? Every sentry spot that covers point is exposed to a sightline that is easily spammable. And its koth, so if you turtle in random places like lobby, you have 0 impact.
I'm sorry you don't like the map, but thanks for the feedback.
it seems like the "AI artwork" and "copyrighted material" were indeed from an act of the TF2 Emporium. I walked around the map before and after the update and couldn't find any AI textures (or any stolen?!?!? assets).
I have also noticed that those were harassment campaigns against the map creators, motivated by personal bias and hatred from the TF2 Emporium. You can apologize all you want but how know you are truly sorry for your comments?
This is sad, and the TF2 community should get its shit together and make a quality map that doesn't have any political messaging and is generally balanced and fun.
Someone I know made a comment I agreed with, which is that we shouldn't push small creators down when they make a mistake, we should bring them up. Whether it was an accident, or was ignorance, the issue was resolved. That deserves praise, in my opinion. Please do consider making more maps, despite this setback. At least now you know what not to do in the future! Stuff happens.
Much appreciated.
Wow, i wonder what issue got fixed! Surely not copyrighted, ai generated and stolen assets getting removed and replaced!
And if you're absolutely forced to give them money, give them the lowest possible percentage so they get pennies.
TF2 has 203 maps, which is enough for a multiplayer game. Hats and other seasonal items are garbage, and what exactly will the so-called "full community update" contain?
What you're doing now is definitely the best course of action and like I said, I don't think you meant any harm.
This happened before a couple years ago. There was some dumb drama for like a day but then the creators updated the map with Valve and everything was fine afterwards lol. It's an honest mistake on your part so don't take it too hard
The legallity of AI art is a grey area. It's trained off copyrighted data. But ignoring that, it sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn't look like anything else in TF2.
I'm not a lawyer, but I believe A bigger problem with the portrait is the fact that it uses reviewbruh's likeness. You might be able to get around it by just saying it's "coincidental" but it's not worth the risk for a dumb Easter egg.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
There also isn't anything legally wrong with using an ai generated image for a tiny Easter egg. I personally don't endorse it myself and I think it should be kept out of an official TF2 map. But its usage here is a really benign usage of AI in this specific case; especially compared to other games.
Although there is a faction of the TF2 content creation community that just froth at the mouth of anything AI generated no matter the context or usage and will use it's existence in any project as an excuse to start another crusade against someone.
