@NordicLaw the thing is it's not what button to assign to, it's what sound it sticks to which is controlled by assigned button of that sound. so in this case the system sticks to the light horn button

Maybe the DEL key? I don't think anyone has assigned it a function, or will. But what's interesting is that when I assign the selector to another key, the exhaust sound is also assigned to that key.

When I turn on the headlight flasher while driving the truck, the exhaust sound goes away. Even if I change the button, the sound persists. Can we change the exhaust button?

@Margaret Banger that's kinda weird,

There's some sort of fade in effect on the exhaust sound, so when you press the throttle you don't instantly hear the exhaust sound. The exhaust sound comes in like half a second after you've pressed the throttle. It's less noticable if you use pedals, but it's still there.

Hi Jerry! Could you please get rid of that delay effect on the exhaust sound? When you go on and off the throttle quickly there's barely any exhaust sound. The older version didn't have that and the exhaust sound was immediately there the moment you touched the pedal, as it should be.

@Nicolas19200 unfortunately I couldn't think of any more practical button, as the function have to override some button.

Your mod is great, especially the valve system. However, can we change the button because for me the J is for the headlight flasher.

It might not actually be the sound of geargrinding, but that is what it sounds like, when changing gears and acticvating the engine brake on the Scania NG R and S. Without this mod, that sound is not present, but it is with this mod, so yea, it is included. It's also present in some of your other sound mods.
However, I do like and appreciate this mod, that sound just bothers me.

Geargrinding sound when changing gears and when using engine brake. Horrible.

works like charm, no problem with this mod for a very long time, even after several updates, it still works, best sound mod there is to this game

@maximaalter if anything the only issue would be your timing, which unfortunately the only way is to keep trying until you get it right. it's between 1 and 2 seconds, no earlier, no later.

Valve doesn't work. I hold the button for more than a second, but it still doesn't work. I even tried it on a fresh account with no mods, and it still doesn't work. It works for my friend, but not for me. Can you help me?

I Appreciate you posting the Original mod to a site but to say im happy is a bit of an understatment as generally if you have a new idea you would make a new mod instead of having a flock of people ask what the f**** happened to their ballsy sounding truck, i've never heard of a scania sound like a overreving tractor or single piston beamng video's, i'd appreciate if you changed the title or something to reflect a complete change such as V1/V2, etc

Honestly, I think the work you do is incredible. The only thing is that the previous raspy sound is more beautiful to me. If you could tell me which mod I should download, I'd appreciate it because I've taken a look at your Trucky page, and you have a ton.

@Chandimonium the VGT variant is now separated from normal engine so if you don't like it now you have the chance to just not use it

also FYI, the VGT variant is what euro 6 DC16 actually sounds like if you straight pipe it and didn't disable or delete the VGT turbo. so it's technically the "real" scania v8 sound

The new updated sound sounds horrible. the old one was way more realistic. please update back or make a option so we can still use the old one

As a personal suggestion, the old engine sound with the new turbo discharge would be the perfect combination

Could I get the previous version outside of the workshop? Or is it really an incompatibility issue with the engine mod or a problem with my game?

I use a Scania S Nest gen with a 770hp engine mod from Power396 and the sound fixed pack, I loved the deep sound of the engine although the exhaust was not as loud as it is now, but it is the sound of the engine that I really miss.

I really love the update, just one small request the one that you used to call ''wooshy'' i think you kinda removed a lot of the actual V8 rumble sound so could you please fix that, thank you.

What has happened to the sound of the engine? Have they updated it? It sounded better before, now you can really notice the turbo spooling, but as for the engine sound, I don't like it at all, to be honest, I miss the deep sound the engine used to have.
