Hi truck. I don't know as I am not familiar with server requirements. It is just a game save file. There's oreless planets mod, however if that didn't work on the server, you could just ignore any ore patches a part from the ones I manually added in with voxel hands.

Can this be loaded on to a server

Hi Chrisbitz. No in a word. I am still playing the Close to Home scenario myself and haven't started building the third instalment yet.
Chrisbitz Jan 20, 2024 @ 1:07pm
Is there any news on your 3rd instalment scenario? I'm searching for a scenario that I haven't already done, that's up to your standard, but can't find any! :-)

I don't know PAVO97, I occasionally switch to friends mode with a second PC to get an extra camera angle without issue.
PAVO97 Dec 15, 2023 @ 3:58am
Do I by any chance break the game if I switch to online public multiplayer?

Thanks for the feedback Chrisbitz. Yeah I still have some challenges to face in the scenario, I've only just secured the resources, remote time is coming.
Chrisbitz Nov 19, 2023 @ 4:23am
I've just finished the scenario (with some cheating) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the lack of ores, and the time taken to gather them, although I missed some of the clues, but the remote control travelling was just too hard for me, but I loved trying to get it working, and after giving up on the remote control bit, I really enjoyed exploring all the places to visit!
I also liked the use of the new automatons blocks, like when <this> is done, timers start!
Thanks for all the incredible hard work you put into it!

I'm now going to look for your other scenarios!

Here is a trick for using laser antennas in a singleplayer game :
Once you connect them and check the permanent connection, If you cannot remotely control the distant ship, save the game and reload it, now it should work

The setup I used to connect the two planets was a satellite at each planet with a laser antenna,
linking to the surface of the planet with a regular antenna. (On Mars I just parachuted a bunch of small grid antennas relais to the surface)

I was not able to fix the pipeline since when I picked up that pipe on the ground the hinge on the pipe exploded. So I just built a ship with a hinge and a reserve of hydrogen to connect to that last pilon to power it up

Thanks for the kind feedback Surprisepoultry. You're not wrong about the laser antennas, haven't got to that stage yet but I go it with my eyes open. I've learnt to put them in orbit helps, planet based ones can fail on you due to voxel load in.
surprisedpoultry Nov 17, 2023 @ 5:50pm
Thank you for the scenario. You obviously put a lot of effort into it. It was a lot of fun and got me going for a more hours than I want to admit.

For the record, laser antennas are not fun to use. I had to reload some saves because of how finicky they are.

Fixing the pipeline on Mars was definitely the hardest thing to do. Especially the piece of pipe that was just on the ground. I lost my welder ship hooking that one back up.

Thanks for sharing Rev, always good to know how others get on. Next scenario will have adversaries, did consider it here, but thought a lucky shot on the antennas risked making it frustrating rather than challenging.
REV4666 Nov 4, 2023 @ 10:39pm
Just finished the scenario and I had some fun with it
I liked the storyline and the "do not leave the earthlike planet" challenge

I missed the fighting a bit maybe if there had been SPRT bases on mars and the moon we needed to destroy it could have been more interesting.

I think for my next scenario I'm going to do the reverse instead of "you cannot leave the planet" I will do "you cannot go to the planets" (where all the resources are), use the crushing death mod to enforce it and have a mod removing most resources from asteroids.

Thanks for the comprehensive feedback REV, I have made fixes to those three items:
1. A datapad added to desert outpost describing a nice lunch spot with a view and some Ni nearby
2. Added a block inside the Ore Processing Facility, the screen has a deep scan log indicating AG depth
3. Swapped the GPS around on the Mars graphic
REV4666 Oct 29, 2023 @ 7:32pm
I did not finish the scenario yet but there is 3 things I think that should be done to improve the scenario :

1: give an indication/clue of where Nickel could be found. The only way I found the deposit was by watching your video, It is very hard to find, unless you already know it's there

2: give a clue that the silver is so deep. After taking out the SPRT station I had a hard time finding the deposit I found it only after I installed a long range ore detector mod

3: The GPS poles indicated in the picture of mars you find in UDDE earth main station are inverted.
I searched around the GPS of the north pole of that picture but never found the Mars orbital station

thinking that the station had been removed by the trash removal, I looked in the scenario guide and saw the GPS for the station. I pasted it in game and saw that it was near the southern pole indicated in the picture and not the north

this is where I'm at and I'm enjoying the challenge of doing it all by remote

Oh good I am waiting for them no doubt.
wellington6012  [author] Oct 21, 2023 @ 12:34pm
Thanks Harada, glad you enjoyed it. I did consider pirates in space, or protecting mars, but felt a lucky hit on an antenna or camera good really stifle and frustrate the player. While this scenario was a logistics and engineering focused, future scenarios I plan on will feature more pirates... a lot more.
Harada.Taro Oct 21, 2023 @ 4:52am
In all it was a very nice scenario maybe lacking figths pirate and such but the go from planet to planet to discover more of the story was really nice. Thank you for your nice work.

Thanks for the kind words Omicron, glad you are enjoying it.
Omicronpersei12 Oct 18, 2023 @ 10:00pm
Thanks for making this scenario. It's really fantastic. Exactly what I have been looking for, Earth Base with a reason to visit the other planets. My previous self impose restrictions just aren't the same. Keep up the great work and thanks for both of your YouTube channels. I enjoy seeing your creativity.

cool will need to play it soon

Thanks for the pic Harada, a tight squeeze. nice to see the generator trailer repaired too.

this is a well deserved front page entry. :)
Keep the creativity coming mate, your videos are also always very entertaining.

Progress with remote control <- perfect
No ore on planets <- also perfect
slayer54537 Oct 4, 2023 @ 3:04pm
honestly im not surprised it made the front page, giving life to the empty sandbox seems to go a long way with the community, and this sounds exciting.
stedo Oct 4, 2023 @ 2:08pm
Never saw the first part so really glad this made front page
Now I know I can check them out.
Thanks for sharing your work with us.
