SCS uses a rare "CANDELA_HUE_SATURATION" format, which is similar to HSL.
...color: (1, 240, 75) = blue, azul
...color: (2, 120, 50) = green, verde
...color: (2, 43, 75) = orange, laranj
...color: (1, 0, 100) = red, vermel
...color: (2, 300, 50) = purple, rox
...color: (3, 0, 0) = white, branc

CANDELA of '1'(%) (specific luminance; 1-100, dim-bright), a HUE of '0' (red), and a SATURATION of '100' (fully saturated), is a pure, intense red color. (Candela luminous intensity is not part of the HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) or HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) color models.)

HUE of '0'(degrees) = color red on the color wheel, according to the standard convention where '0' is red, '120' is green, and '240' is blue.

SATURATION of '100'(%) means the color is at its purest, with no gray mixed in. This makes the color very vivid and intense.

The light doesnt seem to account for the UK setup on the opposite side of the truck so when its on the light is focused on the passenger end

'red' files are identical in versions 1835, 1816, 1810, and 1752.
I double checked [co]drv_plate files for scania.s_2016, which Eugene uses; they're all as intended.
I have no idea why your fps drops.

These Cabin Lights cannot be turned on/off independently.
SCS provides independent on/off of only the lights listed below, from among which I must choose to pair these lights:

Available SCS light types:
light_type: aux (when aux is enabled in F4, aux lights switch on/off with high_beam)
light_type: beacon
light_type: brake
light_type: electrics (battery)
light_type: high_beam
light_type: left_blinker
light_type: low_beam
light_type: parking
light_type: reverse
light_type: right_blinker

Just made it work in a glass slot. Moving it to addon_hookup now.. So it's doable, and will probably reduce amount of work needed in the future, no need to make it for every truck separately, just do once and it will be available everywhere with glass/dash slots.

I realize they are position-sensitive, but other than that, is there any other obstacle to make them, say, 10 inch back and 15 inch above the "red slot" on the dash? Usually there are several such slots available in a vehicle

I can open and edit the model, can export to truck.pit, but conversion fails with "index array out of bounds" and I have no idea where to look, otherwise I'd add driver plate slot myself..

Every vehicle is different: not only their slot names, but also their node positions.
I need full access to every mod's full folder to write it.

These lights are not 'addons', which can be coded generally for numerous trucks.

@Eddie Yantz - Toyota SW4, ZiL130, Vaz-2106 - that's what I currently use, also lots of outdated mods. Some of them don't even have plate locator in blender model, some won't export in current version.

If you create dash and/or glass variant, your mod will be available for pretty much everything that has those locators. SISL's megapack curtain light can't be activated by beacon button
