Anyway rant aside, this looks fucking phenomenal.
2). Its well-modeled and looks good. I can also see it combine pretty well with other items.
3). Its a Dark Souls reference, and one that fits Pyro.

I think you're just coping way too hard here.
A good chunk of TF2's weapons are medieval in theme, which is primarily the melee weapons everyone gets with 90% of them belonging to Demoman.
All the classes have been getting medieval-themed cosmetics in for years at this point; hell, Pyro has an entire knight set already in the game that this helmet pairs beautifully with.
Even though this gamemode's pretty much abandoned by Valve, Medieval Mode is still worth addressing, because that one's fun to mess around with in a primarily 1st-person-shooter title and that a good chunk of the community wants.
