@Jim, sounds like you are talking about the Freight Contracts mod, which is a different mod. Fwiw, the "contract failed" message is the result of a Keen-side bug. You still get your payout and collateral refund.

Take note, for anyone interested in survival and economy and if you care about progression. This mod randomizes components in the store. And you'll end up being able to purchase Prototech Components for relatively cheap in comparison to what you can get in reward in Contracts.
As great as it is. It cheeses the economy and the purpose to hunt the Factorum.

The connector issue is something I had struggled with for a while too.
What you need to do is before connecting to the station switch your connector to Trade mode. It's something you can pin to your bar.

Love this one in particular, delivering actual cargo. Excellent.
Having two odd bugs though.
Trade stations are somehow hacking my connector when connected and whenever I deliver a physical cargo box it says 'contract failed'. I still get the payout but no reputation reward. No negative rep either, just nothing.

I can't access any of TRADE's contract kiosk. I don't know what's causing it.

I noticed adding a new npc to the TRADE faction and changing the grid ownership from The Board to then fixed the hostile issue (Ps: I'm neutral towards TRADE, the relations are set to 0), I've tried a new save without AiE and it worked just fine

I noticed the same issue as Launch_pad, for some reason the ships and instalations are spawning without faction, i dont know if this is a conflict with AIEnabled since its the only different mod i added in this playtrough

wandering merchant wont trade with me. says not owned by faction when i try. comes up hostile in color (redish). when using the reset command from above it gives message = true but i still cannot trade. :(

upd: I can only make successful repairs if I turn on creative mode.

It seems that trade stations don't do repairs. They take money and do nothing. Does someone have the same problem?

I assume the SPRT Brawlin- Bandit Ships are from this mod, right? Every now and then, the trade station that I live close to in my creative world, is receiving shipments, it gets attacked.
These SPRT Ships however fall out of the sky after engaging the Zedious II Transport, even though they have hydrogen. What is going on there?
I've disabled shooting, yet the still land on the ground and lock their landing gear.

Tried with success the above listed fix for trade faction starting out as hostile.

As of the new Contact update, the trade faction's first spawn is coming in as an enemy faction. I guess that's not too surprising until the mod gets updated. Will try the listed fix above that was crossed out to see if this fixes the issue.

One option i am looking for is to be able to buy for credits any tech/research blueprint from the research tree, so that those could be largely disabled by default and then by selling stuff one gets credits and would bit by bit enable the research tree through trade, selling scrap grids or mined ressources and such.

I know the mod description says that the contracts blocks are disabled, but the store's are completely empty on stations for me. Wandering traders are fine, but did something break with stations? I am running basically just base MES stuff and some graphical mods so that shouldn't be the problem.

hey i can't sell/repair/change ownership of any ships through the trade station. it doesn't give any ships in the area a value

I understand Meridus status but am wondering if there is a place within the mod that lists what each point in the suit upgrades does? As in, is lvl1 damage reduction = 10%, 20%? Do you need more than one lvl of the inhibitor immunity?

Is this meant to disable all contract blocks, or just the stations added by the mod? (I do want to still be able to do the base contracts.)

Any chance this mod would give us a way to sell spare components and resources? I mostly play as a space pirate and have a crazy excess of resources sitting around with no purpose.

I revisited the code and found a working solution. I just made a small test but it looks really good !!!

Set item min price to zero with

<MinimalPricePerUnit>0</MinimalPricePerUnit>

I ran into the same issue.... got about 300 components I do not want to sell.
I try to figure it out where the problem is. It could be at
TOC-StoreItems-Basic.xml
TOC-StoreItems-Enhanced.xml
TOC-StoreItems-Merchant.xml

because it choose random components.
It could be possible to set all components by hand but you have to edit the xml. Without a reup it is not possible...

So better late than never I guess lol. and I set "CanPlayerOrder" to false for all the modded components, and the vanilla stations that work fine, but these modded ones are still forcing them into the trades.

Is there a way I can make this mod not force-sell modded components and ammo? I didn't know this mod was doing that until it was too late, and now the balance of my server is destroyed.

I have an issue - I parked my ship with serval unfinished modded blocks (nanite controll facility, upgrade cubes etc.) inside the safe zone of a station. I go and select grid repair and it shows me a total cost of zero credits and no blocks are getting fixed.

Couple of folks on our server mentioned that these upgrades do not persist through death. Not seeing anything on the mod page there that calls that out specifically... is that actually the case?
