@Duncan Beoulve i do think the character is a little strong in some respects, but I've mostly moved on to other projects. I don't really have a strong desire to balance all the 500~ cards and interactions in the mod anymore.

I do appreciate you feedback though!

Also another thing that might need adjusting is Spark. spark alone is STUPID good, 1 damage for 4 spark is not even a down side its more of a boon then anything because it helps with some relics i feel if you want spark to be balanced like at ALL you need to make it
" For every 2 spark you have take 2 damage "
that way there is a penalty for stacking to much spark that FEELS impactful. i hope my comments don't sound negative or anything i just want the character to feel fun but also not be an easy button.

So i wanted to throw my 2 cents in here and give some opinions on this mod, First and foremost its a very fun and neat mod and is cool that there are so many options and that every run is different cause of the randomized types you can have, it makes runs feel divers while also still allowing you to build solid decks. However.
I feel like this character is very easy compared to most because of some of the easy to set up combos and the fact that this character has so many Seek cards, i know there are a lot of those in TCG but they make getting your combos a little TO consistent, Eevee is an absolutely BUSTED early card to start with and with more seek to help it a 0 cost seek card that gets you 2 cards of your choice is Crazy! i feel like there needs to be more of a downside to this card cause prized for 6 more damage is child's play when i can dish out 17 x 8 on the First Turn.

Ok im just going to put this out here real quick you NEED to tone down duraludon V like put it to 5 energy or 4 but make it Rare cause a 3 mana uncommon that deals 120 AND 8 resistance is BUSTED strong like most bosses MELT with those numbers, id personally make it like 3 mana 50 damage 5 Resistance and you cant attack next turn but that's my opinion, would make clear debuff effects very handy to have and its still a SOLID card without them.

I just want to thank you for making a Mod that has really given me a lot of enjoyment. For me this mod feels on the same Level or close to, that of that Packmaster. I understand the apprehensive feelings about updating it, but I would say, keep at it till they hit it. I would love to see Fairy become added and what you could do if you decided to add more cards or went to a scope outside of the TCG. Either way, the Evo Mechanic is very fun and I love how every one at the start feels like a different one thanks to the Pokemon Type you start with. Thank you so much for all the hard work you and your friends and your growing community has put into this. <3 :hollowknight:

@Cpt.Haxray I'm not sure what I'd have to do at that point. I have a public github for the mod that can be accessed through the discord server, but I'm fairly sure if I received a cease and desist and then uploaded it somewhere else, I'd be in a lot of trouble.

I would advise making a backup of your mod somewhere other than for the Steam Workshop. Nintendo has been going after several Workshop addons with nintendo Content on various workshops. The Gmod one is particularly famous but they also went after Fraymakers, some TF2 maps, and some SFM addons.

What does resistant do it says it reduces enemy damage this round but I still take the full amount regardless of resistance levels.

I do want to say that I have been hard at work learning new game development tools and skills in the meantime and I have been putting my all into creating my visions for games.

I have been working in Godot and am at the point where I am fairly comfortable with the engine, and with the announcement for STS2 being made in Godot, I do plan on making some amount of content for it, though I can't say what form it'll take.

I know I've been quiet in here for a long time.
I've been back and forth on whether or not I want to work on the mod more and I still don't know the answer.

But I do want to say happy anniversary. It has been one full year since my initial upload of the mod. This was my first attempt at a large creative endeavor, and it was so fun and fulfilling. I learned a lot in the process of working on this project, and I'm using a lot of the knowledge I gained in my current projects.

I don't know what I'd be doing right now if the mod had only gotten a few hundred subscribers and vanished, but I'm really humbled by the over 16000 people who are currently subscribed.

I'm especially grateful for my community of supporters who helped give feedback and bugfixes for all the things I missed, and especially the people who helped with development. The mod wouldn't be anything close to what it is without you all.

@CryingEevee524 I guess it just fits as a logical option. Kind of a neat coincidence.

In this mod there are currently potions you can find that allow additional captures and a boss relic, as well as a few ways to copy cards in your deck. Maybe not as many ways as people would hope for, but the captures are very powerful and having too many would lead to very easy wins.

@Mars huh, so then the overlap is just coincidence. honestly the thing with it being almost the same N sprite for the character was the main thing making me think there was a connection. i think it was the same sprite but not recolored and he didn't have eyes but i'd have to load my backup of the mod to go check.

aside from that and the theming of a pokemon trainer there's not much overlap besides pokeballs. although that mod had them work very different in that your relic adds one to the hand every battle, it does like... 6 damage and if it kills it adds the enemy as a card. whether it's lethal or not it removes itself from the deck.

you could also get pokeballs from card rewards i think or the effect of a card or two, great and ultra balls existed and did more damage.

speaking of pokeballs if i don't enable infinite is there currently no way to get more?

@CryingEevee524 I haven't heard of that mod. I made this mod because I wasn't happy with the Pokemon mods on the workshop, and it was my first crack at a coding project!

does this mod have anything to do with the mod called "catch the spire" by ozole? the mod hasn't been on the workshop in years but it has a lot of similarities in concepts like capturing enemies as cards and the player character being a very similar sprite of N.

this mod IS very different though, like having actual pokemon as cards and them evolving, the catch the spire mod largely had you use captured enemies and generic tcg type cards. but considering there used to be another pokemon mod i wondered if there was any connection.

Hello. I was investigating a report by a user experiencing issues with the custom cards created by the Fabricate mod not appearing in runs and I believe I've traced an issue back to this mod. In particular, the "removeCards" method in TypeRemoverClass appears to be calling CardCrawlGame.dungeon.initializeCardPools() at the start of each run (through the receivePostDungeonInitialize hook) regardless of the character being played, which I believe could also pose problems to other mods that rely on adjusting the card pools through BaseMod's subscriber methods.

I should be able to do a patch on my end to resolve this compatibility issue, but I do also believe that there would be a simple fix that you could do on your end. Would you be open to discussing this further?

You need to find and use one of the Evolution stone potions. They are linked to the expected types for the Eeveelutions. You may need to turn off other mods that add other potions to increase their likelyhood of spawning.

@科幻 I just gave it a test, the infinite pokeballs is working in the chinese version. It recharges your pokeball when you enter into the next room. You don't need to restart the game to enable the setting, just tick the box and start a run.

@XilliOryx I did consider using orbs for stadiums, but I was really a very novice coder when I started the project (still am lol), and I didn't think I could get it working in that way. So maybe in the future I'll revise them to not stack, but as is I think the balance and "fun" feels fine with them.

Have you thought of a way to introduce stadium card? my thought process goes to orbs. with only one orb slot you can only have one stadium with a start/end of turn effect. then some cards could consume the orbs, or "activate them" for bonus effects (the cards gains bonus when orb is removed the orb has no bonus)

I'm sure this isn't the best solution, but I am not sure what is...

Here from the Frost Prime video :)

A feature I'd loooove is if hovering over an enemy showed you what its capture was, like how The Collected from Downfall shows you the enemy's collected card. Probably not the easiest to implement, but if it happens, that'd get me to climb to a20 with the character :)
