I was having the same issue as Soviet Onion while playing on an Antistasi map. Im basically only using the suggested mods on the collection suggested by the team + Ace No medical. How exactly did you disable that script or what does it do so i can try to fix it oo?

no wait i found the actual issue. it was not a regular mod conflict, but a script conflict. I only disabled the mods in the launcher so i didnt account for this. Basically, if you put down the Dynamic Control Zones Script it breaks the AI and causes friendlies to attack each other.

im not sure what happened but it fixed itself. but now i absolutely have to use lambs with it for some reason, as lambs with explosive event handler off seems to fix the issue. (also i may be cursed because i be having the weirdest issues with anything software related)

You're an absolute Incredible modder and a gem in the arma community, exceptionally rare talent and its actually insane how many replies you get back to on every page, shows dedication to the community, a rare breed, reminds me of the good ol modding days of the 00s.

went in and disabled independent ai, didnt fix it either

unfortunately it is not. i disabled all mods and dlcs excluding dependencies, and they still attack eachother.

having a weird issue where friendly units in the same group attack eachother. elites will shoot at their squadmates like theyre enemies, same with spartans.

Experiencing the same issue as Puddy Cat as well as some sort of missing model error for the grunts.

Not sure if this was already brought up, but would it be possible to make grunts and hunters available in dynamic mission types? RIS, Impasse etc.? Only elites and jackals from optre are select-able at this time, and even then sometimes WBK elites don't spawn in when selecting, but base optre elites. I'd love to include all covenant units in dynamic mission types. At the moment, there isn't much that can be done other than making my own scenarios with these units. Thanks.

My group is also having problems after running a op today, came to see if anyone else had problems. Don't have details but we started to freeze when the grunts started to fire.

Did a test with just spawning one and we manage to kill it, then when we had 3 down, after a few shots it froze us all in place.

Wish I could provide better info.

@Bones melee elites still use OPTRE shield params. Will be fixed somewhere in the future.

With nothing enabled but required mods, the Melee Elites are not being effected by shield multipliers and are 3 shot by any weapons, like literally all of them

It just adds the factions and equipment. It doesn't have a Campaign, Scenario, or specifically required map.
It literally says this in the mod Description:
"What does this mod add?
New melee weapons such as Energy Sword and Gravity Hammer
Grunts, Hunters and Elites with custom ai and Animations, everything made from scratch
New custom projectiles for plasma weapons for AI

@Hemlock yes, they are using scripted weapons with scripted projectiles that can be only used by them. If you will kill em and pick their weapon up, everything revert back to the OPTRE: FC weapon. You can see that by shooting their weapons that they drop, since you will not have same glowing effect on projectiles.

You're saying that the guns and damage values of the guns used by the AI in this mod, are, exclusive to the AI and they aren't using the Optre First Contact Covenant weapons?

@Hemlock this is custom ai that uses custom weapons and projectiles that can only be used by said custom ai. Changing their loadout will do mostly anything, or will break it. If you want to customize units use regular Elites that are coming with OPTRE:FC

Also, apparently this broken weapon issue applies to Hunters, as, Hunters can infact just randomly decide to pull out a plasma rifle out of nowhere, and, use it, somehow

Your AI overrides any loadout changes in the editor
Give one of them any gun, or, even take away their gun entirely, and, they'll just pull a carbine or plasma rifle regardless
There's no way to give them specific weapons

Also it says "All projectiles are balanced and configured to not one tap people" but... I thought the guns were from Optre First contact itself, not this mod?

That being said, I was wondering if you had any interest in the Mechanical enemies from Generation Zero. figured youd like the idea and aesthetic of them and the way they work, as well as the pipe dream of them in arma-based combat.

I don't want to be presume anything, but I think it would be cool if you guys and the OPTRE devs worked together to correct the damage tables. Although, when it comes to no shields, I think 1 shot kills are better.

@solusun damage of the weapons is defined by OPTRE iteself, not this mod. You can also adjust their health in CBA params, if you think Elites are too tanky.

Anyone else feel like the damage tables on this mod are all messed up? I literally shot an elite minors 10 times with an M6D (Halo 1 pistol) and he was still standing. Would be a lot cooler if the shields took relatively similar to halo damage.

@WebKnight Ah good so that was entirely a false rumor I heard, that's good to know. People tend to talk out of their ass a lot.

I'm super excited to see the additions, can't wait! Do take all the time you need, just happy to have an individual like yourself putting mods together for Arma
