(TLDR): I won't abandon this mod but I won't have time to update for the next year or so because life.
I hope you reconsider or at the very least keep the ASE mod version updated.
0: Disable Creative Mode
1: Respawn or fast travel
2: double press your grab body button (default "g")
3: Click on Admin Menu in the top left corner of the interface
4: click on enable admin mode
5: wait until game unfreezes
6: close and re-open the menu
7: select dino from the list
8: confirm selection
9: double tap grave "~" to morph into selected creature
This is to test functionality, if you actually want to play like normal you must first target a dino with Z and kill it within 30 seconds.
Also tell me what you are getting stuck on so I can improve my documentation. Its quite frustrating answering the same question over and over with no response of weather or not you've figured it out.
Honestly, don't expect too much between now and Thanksgiving, around then I have a week off classes and I can afford to work on this.
Yes.
Will I continue to develop this mod and have updates in ASA?
Yes.
Will I continue to update this mod for ASE?
No.
Its the same as the mod title here, "Morph Mod"
Fixed the issue, any flier that is also allowed to swim should not transform you back when entering water. This may cause some incorrectly tagged fliers to appear, so let me know if anyone finds something that is able to swim/ fly in water that shouldn't be able to. Also please use the bugs and glitches discussion for issues like this, its not super important but it helps with my organization since everything posted here gets buried after a while.
Update
Fixed fliers that can also swim to be allowed in water
I have a problem I have a mod that adds a dragon that can fly and also swim but on your mod if a flying creature goes in the water it turns us back into humans. Could you make sure that only if the flying creature ejects us in normal time, in this case yes we transform back into humans but if it does not eject us in this case we remain transformed
If you are asking me to create a video, I would rather not because of the work associated, but if you are asking if you can make one, go ahead. Plenty of people have been able to figure things out through the description but I'll see about making a more in depth text guide in the discussions, thats the most I am currently willing to do.
Fixed orbit camera not working
I also found a work around for the bag drop where items are forced into the player inventory regardless of any weight restrictions removing the need for drop bags entirely. I haven't tested this with max inventory slots full so you're welcome to let me know if it breaks.
Updating in a minute
Make sure your mod updates on servers or else you will crash whenever you or anyone else tries to use any part of this mod
I'll look into adding levels but having stats probably won't happen for now, I'd have to do some work with tooltips to get that to work.
As for the bag dropping I've got it working in the devkit but I can't figure out why its not working in game, same with preventing morphs on restarts. Might be approaching the limits of what one buff is capable of since literally everything is controlled by one buff on the player.
I did notice that while morphed you can't use things like Map, Awesome spyglass, etc.
I also had to put limits on myself. Its easy to get OP with this if you know what you are doing. I personally like the Hardcore mode, with only add tamed dinos and it kills them.
Is it possible to add to the Menu the ability to see the Dinos levels or stats from the list?
If your inventory is full, and the Morph Inventory is full and you un morph I notice most things just delete and don't drop in a bag on the ground? Is there a setting I missed or is that also in the works?
Also for those waiting for the completion of the admin menu, I apologize that progress is so slow but all the things that need to done for that to work properly is insane. I'll get it done eventually but its a rabbit hole in a rabbit hole. I gotta work backwards for it and every one function needs like ten other functions to work properly so don't expect anything from that any time soon.
Sure thats possible, I could also just make the morphs un-breadable as an alternative. I'll also mess around a bit to see if I can prevent being morphed on server restarts. This has been an issue since the beginning and I've never found a good solution so don't expect much from that.
Would it be possible to make an ini setting that prevents adding player levels to the morph. So if the morph glitches then the player doesn't aquire the added levels from the morph.
Thanks for all you do!
