There is no way to turn the cheats off at times I dont want them, its a UI thing im pretty sure.

use trainers like wemod if you want to cheat on newer versions, it works on ironman (kind of buggy but works)

again, try enabling debug mode and paste the error log here after it crashed (should be at Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\logs)

Enable debug mode by:
1. Right clicking HoI4 in steam library
2. Click properties
3. At launch options add "-debug"
4. Close the menu and lauch the game

To everyone asking why they're crashing, I experience the same issue. The way to fix it is by going to where you can edit your government (advisors, military command, etc). and there will be an area for the cheats. Go to the military one and turn it off. You still get ALL the benefits, but won't crash.

i dont have the BBA Dlc but the game still crashes for me why and can you fix it?

seems like that's only a problem if you have the dlc. I don't have it and it doesn't crash for me. Consider enabling debug mode and paste the error log here after it crashed (but first go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV and delete everything except save games and screenshots and then try.)

about my last comment, if you go to the change policies area and turn off army cheat it fixes the crashing and still gives you the effect.

I'm playing as Italy and any time I send my troops into Ethiopia, the game crashes. Only once I turn on the cheats.

strange, this mod causes the spanish election to end peacefully and makes it so that it doesn't result in a civil war, but idk why

there's a bug where the spanish civil war doesn't trigger. (tried it without this mod turned on and the spanish civil war triggers)
