the more a mod contains the more likely it is to run into the isue.
DSS contains a lot of custom UI, which takes space, making it more likely to happen because there are more and larger files that each can trigger it.
also the mod contains effectively each file twice because the previous branch version is included as an archived version

because its fully random whether or not onedrive breaks folder permissions or not.

restart loop messages are a lie, skip them with escape

how is that this mod make a perma restarting in the loop and other doesnt? If theory about onedrive is right why other mods doesnt trigger it ?

@bumbin fix your installation folder permissions, remove OneDrive, try unsubbing/resubbing.
Your mod installed failed and thats an issue of the game, can't fo anything.

This mod is needed now since at least for my game I made yesterday, the Traits were not Random, and if you wanted good Traits, it was accompanied by the worst Negative Traits, no matter how many times I went through them. Skilled lvl 2-3 all has the worst and would always be the same exact one.

unsubscribing & resubscribing while in the main menu can potentially also fix the issue, OneDrive is sadly an upredictable pile of garbage

restart loops are a lie, just skip them by pressing escape, then MANUALLY restart the game.

should you not have mod updater, install it.

these restart loops are most likely caused by your OneDrive fucking up the mod folder access permissions, preventing the game from properly installing the mod. these resulting research loops are due to the game not handing this situation properly and should be fixed by klei.

disable your onedrive for your Documents folder, then follow the Klei troubleshooter [support.klei.com] to restore the folder permissions so the game can install mods properly again.

alternatively you can just manually install the update by grabbing it on my GitHub [github.com] and pasting it over the steam mod folder

Hey, I cannot play using your mod at all. Every time I sub to it it required the game be restarted indefinitely. What do I do?

- added korean localization
- you can no longer select a disabled printing pod via the output selector in the printer screen
- removed Dasha Saltvine and mealwood seeds from the extra care package list since those are now vanilla. If you have edited your care packages, you wont receive this change
- fixed a rare crash when importing old dgsm crew presets

(or at least I did not notice anything breaking, the game booted fine and some dupe editing was successful)

The mod did not break with the prehistoric planet release, an update is not needed

even WITH mod updater the system can fail and fake a restart loop which you should skip by pressing the esc. key to dismiss the msg.

the so called "mod manager by ony" makes the game issue worse due to shoddy coding and is not an alternative to mod updater

thats on your system buddy; the mod updating system is bugged and if you dont have mod updater you are bound to have issues.
thats not something I can fix; Klei is responsible for that.
the mod is fully functional and any issues you have with updating are caused by the game

do not subscribe to this mod until the dev fixes it, it will break the mods and force you to unsub and resub to all your mods

I was having the same issue, Un-sub and re-sub wasn't fixing it. I had to delete EVERYTHING in the mod folder, and backup mod folder. Then re-sub to each of my mods (Mod updater and DSS first, before anything else). Hope this helps.

sounds like a bug in the mod installation system.
try resubscribing while in the main menu and make sure you have ModUpdater installed and active and that so called "mod manager by ony" uninstalled
