Description
Duplicant Stat Selector - DSS

When you start up a new game, there are a lot of dangers for your dupes so you want to prepare carefully.
This mod allows you to adjust the amount of duplicants you start your game with and what Traits and Interests they should have.
You can add more Traits & Interests or just remove those you don't want, all from a handy searchable list.
Furtermore you can store your favourite Stat- or Crew-loadouts as Preset-Templates that you can then load and apply to any dupes created after.
The mod also allows to customize the Personality (Skin) of a dupe without changing any of its stats (for when you want a Pei-Only Colony, but there is no Meep-Mod equivalent).
You can now also modify any dupe that emerges from a cryopod and the mysterious hermit.
The printing pod also gained a handy care package selector.
Furthermore, in sandbox worlds you have now access to a Duplicity style dupe editor.

Features
Duplicant Editing
  • Dynamically change the number of duplciants you want to start with
  • Individually add, remove or change the different Traits, Interests and Reactions of a Duplicant (similar to dgsm, but better):
  • Option to store and load crew presets (import from old dgsm presets included):
  • Option to store and load individual stat presets:
  • Redistribute Interest Points (this resets each time the interest bonus changes, so do it after you have selected traits and interest types):
  • Attribute editing (option disabled by default):
  • Trait selector to guarantee rolling one trait when rerolling naturally (in addition to one interest)
  • Personality Lock: only roll duplicants with the locked personality
  • Trait rarity information to allow making "balanced" trait compositions (or to completely ignore :D)

  • Duplicity-style duplicant editor for live duplicants (config disabled by default, also available in sandbox/debug):
    Care Packages
    • Reroll Care Packages
    • Select Care Packages from a list of all currently unlocked packages
    • Config Option: Add a few items to the care package list that can be otherwise unobtainable. (using Care Package Manager will override this)
    • Care Package Manager (with UI): Edit these extra care packages or add new ones
      Additional Features
      • Option to start the game with additional food and oxylite for every additional start dupe above 3.
      • Change the printing pod interval (default is every 3 cycles)
      • Pause game on "New Print available" (requires activation in config)
      • Option to only print care packages if you have over a certain amount of duplicants.
      • Reroll and adjust Stats for Cryopod Duplicants
      • Reroll and adjust Stats for the lonely Hermit
      • Access to fully coded but hidden "Needs" traits in the "Add a trait"-list
      • generally disable overjoyed and/or stress reactions
      • Apply the hermit skin to duplicants if you have finished the story trait once
      • Printing pod output: change the asteroid the care package/duplicant lands on from within the screen

      Make also sure you do NOT have the mod "Debug Console // by @Ony 👾" enabled as it breaks the game internally and makes the log useless for debugging!

      Mod is marked as "incompatible"?
      (remove ony mod manager and) install Mod Updater!
      This problem is caused by a rare mod extraction bug that gets massively amplified by ony mod manager.

      no.
      the mod files (that get locked by onedrive) are in /mods/steam/2856555858
      the config files are stored in /mods/config/

      as long as you keep the latter or backup it to some other location and restore them after, the mod config will be kept

      If I delete my mods to fix the problem that I keep having, will the data for each one be deleted if I redownload them all?

      Finally it can be used. I uninstall Microsoft Onedrive and delate all file in mod Foder. When mod reload it work.

      I was having the same problems, after unsyncing onedrive and trying a bunch of stuff, I eventually got it to work. What work for me was disabling mod updater and deleting the data for this mod in the klei mods folder (the one with number and not names for the mods, atleast for me) and letting it redownload it cause I think mod updater might have screwed something up, maybe. But getting steam to redownload the correct files without anything interfering got my game to work.

      the issue is caused by a combination of onedrive being a piece of garbage that comes preenabled on win11 and klei not properly handling file extracting errors in their mod updating code, since it runs before mods this is not something we modders can fix/adress

      "restart when enabled" is a fault of the buggy updating system and not caused by the mod.
      you probably have onedrive interferring with the games' ability to properly install/update the mod.

      turn it off for your documents folder, then follow the Klei Troubleshooter [support.klei.com] to restore the file permissions
