thanks alot for your work and mods :)

1) Are you able to edit the graphics? Can you make a version with canal directions in all 6 directions so you can build every plot a canal? Would also save performance if simply every plot uses that graphic, regardless of neighbour tiles.

2) Is your DLL code public? I'm currently using my own DLL based on the vanilla DLL code, because whowards DLL still had a few bugs left (and CP DLL is just too much) I was not able to find (eg. rebels although you have positive happiness).

im suffering from the same problem, canal model is also missing water and the models wont connect properly.

Ships appear to be unable to go through it I find, unless I just built it on an unfortunate tile.

Ok,I can confirm that diplomatic mod will let canal do not work. Every diplomatic mod can lead the bug.:steamfacepalm:

I find may the mod Civilization IV Diplomatic Features that make canal can not work stably by many experiments. I do not why a diplomatic mod would make a bug. Could you fix it? Please, thx.:steamthumbsup:

Thanks for your mod. I want to it for a long time. But it make me sad for three cities of mine. Only one canal can make city become coastal city. There were two canals that were created near cities and canals did not work.:steamfacepalm:

I think i found a bug, i built a canal and units can go trhough it but cargo ships wont

So despite both your base mod and this mod saying they affect saved games, unfortunately these mods only work with new saves, rip canals in my turn 243 match :(

This is a mod I've wanted for a long time (hoping for tunnels next), thank you very much. I did notice a land locked city with a canal as it only ocean access can build any water unit except work boats.

Can't you make it in three directions?

If the oceans, the capital, and lakes are listed in order and I try to build a canal underneath capital, it connects to the lake and the capital.

@Med-Japanese AIs can build canals but they won't be positioned in the right way. If they build a canal near a city it won't become coastal (I guess), because in the LUA, I use game events to perform the functions necessary for it's functionality but from what I have read these gamee events it is only executed for the player and not for the AIs, (but afterwards would have to be tested but I don't see how to force an AI to build a canal near a city and see that it connects it to the sea)

I also didn't touch the AI ​​code so they don't understand the usefulness of the canal and where it is good to put them.
