I've installed several new fonts in the correct place (Windows recognizes them), but they don't show up in this mod's list after several restarts. I'm on Windows 11 is that makes a difference.

I tried this Chinese bopomofo font collection and suceeded. Make sure you follow the guide above.

Thanks! Not sure how, but world map labels now seem to work just fine :D

Now I found a separate issue: even on the default font, colonist labels tend to have a line break, making some characters go into a second line. Can something be done about this?

If rebooting the game doesn't work, just select "default" to disable the feature. This mod is a bit likely to conflict with other mods that modify the world map. I confirmed that Map Preview works well.

For some reason, this mod makes landmass names invisible on the world map regardless of the selected font.

I confirmed that the workaround for clipping issue can cause another issue (as seen in the "weird" debug log), so I temporarily disabled it.

@#6 There're three text sizes in the game: small, medium, and large. I guess the mod can even adjust those text sizes individually. I'd add that feature with future updates, if requested. Anyway, thanks for the idea!

I believe I fixed clipping issue that some fonts were suffering.
Also I did a quick research and now you can change the scaling factor of fonts to adjust their sizes. To support fonts with larger line height, I also added a feature to adjust vertical offset.

Yeah, Steam Deck (or SteamOS) seems to sandboxing the game and fonts in /usr/share/fonts are not visible. (Actually that's the main reason why I bundled Sarasa :P)
Maybe that's related to the read-only filesystem? but "sudo steamos-readonly disable" didn't work so Idk for now...

A quick question, would it be possible to add a feature to adjust text size globally? Like +/- percentage possibly?

Oop, looks like I spoke too soon. When I installed the font the first time I opened it and clicked the install button inside the font viewer app and that didn't work. Then I reread the description and noticed it said to use the Install for All Users button in the right-click menu, that worked just fine. Mod is working great now! Thanks!

I've tried to use a custom font but the mod doesn't see it after it is installed. Running windows 11, the font does show in word and gimp so it is definitely installed properly.

Thank you! The bundled font can be loaded correctly after the update! I still cannot see my own fonts. I guess it could due to some sandbox stuff in steam deck. At least Sarasa works well.

I just realized that the previous update was missing some necessary files. I reuploaded them so now Sarasa should appear in the list. Thanks for the bug report!
For CJK fonts, the game reads and lists their English names, and they have to be placed at certain directories (as noted in the description).

Thanks for the mod! I tried this mod in the steam deck and it looks like Sarasa doesn't appear in the list. I manually install this font and put it into use/share/fonts but still it does not show up on the list. Any suggestion how to use it in steam deck?
