I recently added the "Physics 9 'No Going Back' 1.1" mod to my game, and I'm thoroughly impressed! This mod enhances the driving experience with realistic physics based on real-life trucking. It's great to see such a detailed and well-thought-out mod that works seamlessly on version 1.50.

I really enjoy this mod, probably the best one out, BUT there's a bit of an overkill on wet roads. I'm glad it does make a difference, but it feels like driving on ice, so it's safe to say it's too much.

is it good if I use a wheel? I have logitech g29

Always strange when folks make a big fuzz about their mods with great advertisements, pics, vids, blahblah and whatnot - and regularly fail to update them accordingly....(since the first hype about is gone)

I just changed the brake twice earlier, not sure which one you were referring to. About the brake sound, it is already in the vanilla game, if you enable "Automatic Retarder" the sound of the retarder will be heard every time you brake.

I am glad that it also helps 270 degree folks. I also used an 270 wheel years ago before I bought an 900 wheel. I can tell you that it feels a world of difference.

Both my wife and I use an older 270 degree wheel and this mod has really helped to smooth out our driving. We have tried a couple other mods but this mod made everything perfect for us and our older wheel. Thank you for the work and efforts you put into this. We really appreciate it.

Thank you for your mod, I enjoy it. The behaviour of the brakes is what I was looking for. Would it be possible to add some sound which would underline the process of braking? I don´t mean the release of the air brake, I think about some sound made because of brakes slowing the tyres? Or could anyone name a special sound mod for my needs?
Anyway, thanks to all modders out there for making games more realistic and special!!!

I appreciate your information, but you are probably posting on a wrong page because this mod does not mention anything about 1800 degrees and "g_cabin_suspension_stiffness 0". I mentioned them in my other mods though.

I appreciate your feedback and sharing your RL truck driving experience. I will use it to improve the mod. However, I was aware that the full brake takes too long but I could not do anything about it because if I make it shorter I will have to sacrifice the smoothness of the low speed braking. SCS' braking curve parameters do not work well. So I chose to go with smooth braking at low speed.

"Physics Camera Movement" is in your game menu option where you can tick on/off and adjust the intensity. It regulates how much you will see the up & down movement when you are inside the cabin. If you usually get seasick, you should turn it off.

This mod makes the suspension firmer than vanilla. This could be an indirect cause. If so, you can compensate that by lowering the suspension slide bars.

I thought the same when the driveshaft came out, so I checked the physics file used in this mod and found that the driveshaft value was not written into the physics file. I don't know where SCS puts the driveshaft value. It means that this mod should not interfere with the driveshaft because it does not touch the driveshaft value. But I guess each truck brand has different intensity of driveshaft torque. Try to drive all brands and compare.

With the introduction of driveshaft torque from1.46, does this mod interfere with it as I am not able to notice it from inside nor outside the truck with the torque slider moved to both ends.

draylynn something could be wrong with another mod or something on your side, works perfectly for me, no issues with braking nor cab movement

Latest build of the game, brakes are near impossible to deal with, like trying to stop a truck with a fairies backside. 50+ meters at 20mph and I still can't stop the truck... It's massively out of touch. Pulling cornered ramps is jerking the cab around like a lunatic.

I remember that I introduced "max_visual_rotation:28" in my Physics 6 years ago, the game was still at patch 1.3X something or older. Because the game really needed it at that time to smoothen the steering. But SCS has greatly improved the steering through the years and patches. Right now I think the steering is not that big issue anymore, the vanilla steering is quite acceptable. And I have found the steering code in the controls.sii file mentioned above that fixes that steering quite well without limiting the steering angle. So I think this is a better solution.

The settings in the photo are what I think most realistic, but I know some people may disagree, that is why I also mentioned that people can use my preference as their starting point and adjust the settings from there.
