Small Grid Autocannons on Large Grids

i like autocannons too... downloaded!! you know of any mod that increases the range of the small grid autocannon?

I love Autocannons, so this mod is an essential part of all my worlds!

If I could have three wishes, those would be (in ascending difficulty):
1. Increase component cost to match the LG Gatling Turret. Currently it feels too cheap and squishy for a Large Grid weapon.
2. Slightly increase rate of fire to further distinguish it from the SG version, maybe from 150 -> 200? Much more than that would probably make it too powerful compared to the other weapons.
3. Scale up the model by 20-50%. This one might be difficult without changing the bounding box or incurring the wrath of Clang.

I apologize, Either I was doing something wrong or SE was being buggy because the LG version is now using the new view. No idea why, but SE is SE. *shrugs*
Anyways, thanks for the mod. Hope they incorporate it into the game. o/

@Stitch That's...strange. It used to work fine, in fact, that's why I had to re-do part of the model. I'll look at it when I have a moment and see if I can figure out what is up.

The guns won't reload and I can't drag the autocannon magazines in manually through the inventory system either.

Nice work. Personally I think the turret model is just a fraction too small to work; it doesn't cover the whole conveyor tube hatch/pipe end. Still, really helps the gap that i see forming in weapon arsenals. Lots of little guns, lots of big-to-HUGE guns, but very, very few medium guns, LG turrets in particular. I don't use WeaponCore, so discount anything from there.

Do you think you could work the same magic with the SG Assault turret model? And have a non-'missile turret' version which works like this one? Would like to create a LG Heavy Autocannon turret using the SG Assault Turret model, but my skills are limited to editing the .sbc files... :(

Yeah, apparently there's some...black magic that Keen did to get this turret to work, since I just ported the model, the magic doesn't apply.

I'm also in talks with the weaponcore team to see about getting a WC version of this running.

There is a minor graphical bug with the rotation of the turret when placing it, but once placed it is fine. (The turret is shown rotated 90 degrees from it's base, so the back half would appear inside whatever block you're placing it on.)

Now how about large grid artillery on small grids? (just kidding)
