Weapon upgrades were nerfed, and Stocks are useless... taking all actions and ending turn... can it be edited to just cost 1AP and not ending turn?? could not find any help, and cant find file that LOWTC changes it from original game. thanks for help:steamhappy:
Gerishnakov 9. juli kl. 13:41
@RustyDios Well said!
RhodeXLX 8. juli kl. 23:21
What they're trying to say is, please confirm that you're experiencing this within standard parameters. That is, are you infiltrating to at least 100% every mission? Can you give us a rough estimate on how many enemies on average you see per mission? Do we have some understanding on how haven management and the rebel jobs work (Intel, Supply, Recruit, Hiding)?

If not, we could teach you how it all works, and we apologize for the insufficient explanation of LWOTC's mechanics.
RustyDios 8. juli kl. 22:42
LWotC doesn't juice up enemy numbers though, it does it with the increased power of the classes and weaponry in mind. IIRC most missions should still see between 8-12 units (3-4 pods of 3), which is easily manageable for xcoms power. If you're getting more than 15+, then either you don't have enough Haven jobs on intel, or you're taking missions you have no chance to infiltrate to over 100%, or you're regional strength/vig levels are two high and you should take missions in a different region.

You're not suppose to do every mission it throws at you, some will have really bad chances to infiltrate/win (like less than 4days, and you will be swarmed).

The only other thing I can think of is maybe you're just focusing on the Troop Transport style mission, which are meant to be a long slog of lots of enemies.... or you have other mods pumping up the numbers.

Terribly sorry to say it, and I'm sure it's not what you want to hear ... but ... this is a skill issue on your part. Get Gud.
Lamundari 8. juli kl. 14:29
Well, the point is there's 2 main factors that make this walkthrough incredibly frustrating. The misses and the number of enemies. Because even if i hit all my shots all the time, with the juiced up numbers of enemies you would still lose soliders. And yeah, imma argue the fact the game cheats in your favour. It really doesn't . Maybe if this thread was happening in the first XCOM game, i'd agree with you. But here? Imma have to disagree.
Tedster  [ophavsmand] 6. juli kl. 11:34
@Nico - slightly incorrect. Dodge does allow grazes to be downgraded to misses, which is factored into the base hit chance. This is why Advent Commando has such a low hit chance when at full health, because the 20% chance of the default graze band is converted into miss. So technically, Dodge does affect hit chances, but far less than Defense since it is 5 dodge per 1% instead of 1 def per 1% hit chance
Gerishnakov 6. juli kl. 8:08
At this point we might as well have a whole discussion thread for people butt-hurt by LWOTC.
Nico 6. juli kl. 7:44
And pls don't mix up Defense with Dodge. Cover only provides defense, no dodge. The hit chance incorporates all defenses bonuses, but no dodge bonuses, since dodge does not make you miss, it just turns a hit into a graze. And in the same way, if you miss but roll a crit it gets upgraded to a graze. Which means that the real hit chance is actually .... lower than the displayed hit chance in regards to making a full hit, since part of it is actually a graze chance, but the chance to deal any damage is actually higher than the displayed hit chance since part of the miss chance gets upgraded to a chance for a graze. Which is why separate of your chance to hit, it also displays your chance to do a graze, though that graze chance steals a part of both, your hit and miss chance.
Nico 6. juli kl. 7:44
@Lamundari: I must admit, I have no idea how you try to argue against his point of vanilla WotC cheating in your favor in regards to hit chance by saying that from your experience, vanilla WotC is more lenient with percentages, since from my point of view, all you do is proof his point by saying that.

Also, the Rookie difficulty on LWotC does actually retain those aim assist cheats.
Lamundari 6. juli kl. 7:01
@tiktaalik Well, i have to simply disagree, as in my personal experience vanilla WOTC was really lenient with precentages. And the precentage is calculated with the enemy dodge and cover bonuses into consideration, not before. Unless you are saying this mod does some extra rolls that negatively affect those said precentages, something that would explain all those misses on 70%+.
Pönnukaka 2. juli kl. 1:26
It does work with Ted Jam+ - The successor to Mod Jam. First time modding this game. That's cool. As an older Xcom 2 player, infiltration..cool. But with the amount of enemies -> Not getting the loot because of granades..not a fan. There is a lot of learning to be able to play this and other mods from vanilla :poeIIsincere:
Archangelos 1. juli kl. 17:07
I instaled this mod but when i press to start the game it appeared an error message saying "Error detected attempting load of package: LW_Overhaul"
tiktaalik 1. juli kl. 12:55
@Lamundari
There is no bullshitery going on with the percentages and rolls. 70% means 70%. As in 3 times out of 10 you will miss. Plus the graze band. Mind you, that enemy dodge could further downgrade the hit into graze and the graze into miss.
It is actually vanilla WOTC that cheats, in XCOM's favor.
RhodeXLX 1. juli kl. 7:04
Well, we're missing a lot of context on the complaint as well. We're not even sure if these things are supposed to happen from what they typed. Some missions really are supposed to be have a huge number of enemies. Some numbers really are supposed to be different in some circumstances.
Lamundari 30. juni kl. 19:23
Well..... Every rambling has it's truth, and after a personal experience i'd say the WTF guy has a point. The number of enemies is only part of the issue. The real one is the fact they are clumped togheter far enough that i can't use that very well, but they can run my pockets. Of course, even THEN i wouldn't have an issue if 90% of my shots wouldn't miss even on the easiest difficulty when im at least at 70% and up. Sharpshooters in particular. I don't mind the game being harder, but it seems it's managed in an artificial way, with a direct modification to numbers and rolls.
Nico 28. juni kl. 13:23
@Blazin' TurkeySandwich: Usually this shows up when you do not have the Shens Last Gift DLC, since that DLC is a requirement for this mod. Which nowadays we can only buy via the Reinforcement pack, or simply the XCOM 2 bundle (not the XCOM Ultimate Collection, that one is way more expensive)

You can also use the version 1.1 of tis mod, which doesn't have the DLC requirement, but it probably won't be compatible with for example the Ted Jam Collection.

Can't load, due to 'lw_perkpack_intergrated' failing to load.
Deathraven13 28. juni kl. 12:20
Indeed, I've lost many run on LWOTC because it's so different than WOTC and managing Havens is new and important.

I did read about the infiltration mechanics so I didn't end up fighting +30 ennemies on the second mission (knowledge is important).

Finaly 7-9 ennemies guarding the objective isn't that bad, a well placed rockets and some flashbangs will easily deal with them.
RustyDios 28. juni kl. 11:58
I can't say I expected much else than 'salty trolling' from a user named @HeyWTF .. so thankyou for proving that assumption correct!.

LWotC is a significantly more difficult experience than the vanilla game, with many changes. The decisions you make on the strategy layer (infiltration time, missions chosen, region strength and vigilance, even mission type) are more closely intertwined with the tactical mission you will face.

For new players it is suggested to play "one difficulty lower" to what you are normally used too, for good reason. This mod isn't for everyone, I'll give you that ... but also with 165 *thousand* current active subs playing and (mostly!) enjoying the mod your skills issues are purely yours.

LWotC can take some time to get used too. It's got depth and it's got teeth ..... and it's not even 'the hardest' modded experience you can make.

Take a breather, come back to it and try again.
Deathraven13 28. juni kl. 10:01
@HeyWTF Yeah the issue is from you as we can all see now. Learn to play the mod and maybe you'll be good, can't guarrantee that with some low level tactics you'll win since LWOTC is harder than base game, maybe download a mod that give you God mode or something.
HeyWTF 28. juni kl. 9:50
Moreover someone wrote about shotgun - maybe, you fucking cunts check the real distance of real shotgun, its not a knife-distance, or SMG and as a plus some dumbass think, that a sniper on a low ground fucking useless and has 30% to shoot the target.... its fucking brilliant. The vision - maybe. The fucking accuracy - onfg lol.

stupidly as fuck see how shotgun have just a 4 tiles to shoot, how sniper suck just because of on a lower position with a 30% hit without possibility to move.
HeyWTF 28. juni kl. 9:50
sure, sure - "a lot". How much this "a lot" in a compare with a really god games? Actually your answer is empty as fuck. The question is - why the fuck mod have a shit as keeping all the enemies, whenever beginning of a game it is or a late stage, 10 or 40 of them on a map, in a one fucking place.
So some maps can be huge, some is big, but it make no sense since fucking mod put them together. literally 15 of them (from 15) in 5 tiles near each other. I am not even speaking with a 40 of them in one place as well.

I really don't give a shit about bunch of nerds, who sitting here and enjoy a suffer, reloading hundreds time a game and think that unbalanced game make it harder and more interesting.
Deathraven13 27. juni kl. 15:16
@HeyWTF sounds like someone can't read and thus sent soldiers on a mission they didn't infiltrated. If a lot of players have the skill to beat the mod and you don't then there is only one answer for it. :MGS2_Otadot1:
HeyWTF 27. juni kl. 15:11
Shitty trash mod where all 45 million enemies on a huge map in one place near exit point... fucking funny
Gerishnakov 26. juni kl. 7:42
Because it's a shotgun, not a sniper rifle.
marsianin 25. juni kl. 3:30
What has happened to shotgun? Why have the distance and the probability of hitting become so short?
Nyxefy 20. juni kl. 22:54
And just because you don't get it enough, thank you. Thank you for reading, and creating this timeless mod you've all worked tirelessly to make. What makes your mod special are all of the countless ways your team and this community has worked interweaving the best pieces of work to make this beautiful mess we call XCOM 2 Modding.
Nyxefy 20. juni kl. 22:54
But under Legacy Operations, you can generate NEW operations which is a series of randomly generated missions which connect. Keeping your squad and progress as you go. This is perfect for me, no map yet all of your mechanics over a series of missions that keep your progress.

The only issue is unlike skirmishes that works, this mode doesn't... It has a plethora of bugs, like missions not spawning in modded enemies types, templars for some reasoning not having the ability to Rend, and more I'm sure.

But keep in mind, if it takes more than a few lines of code, if it's an issue that would take a millennial to fix, don't worry much, it's a very small part of the game anyway.
Nyxefy 20. juni kl. 22:54
Hey Tedster among other LWOTC devs.

I wanted to go out and say that this mod has truly revolutionized my experience for XCOM 2. LWOTC adds so many changes while adding a massive amount of content that improves this game, incredibly so. Everything from the classes, perks, weapons, enemy AI (big one), enemy types, mission types, and all of these tweaks here and there make this mod a joy to play. (I genuinely can't play without it, even though my fav story missions are cut out.)

But amongst this genuine praise I have a niche request I hope you'll listen to.

I really enjoy the combat side of this game, and never really enjoyed the map strategy part as much, if at all. I just love shooting aliens and trying to not get cucked by 99% and grazes lol.

In the legacy hub, you can run skirmishes and legacy operations. Skirmish missions work just fine and are cool for that little action kick.
Tedster  [ophavsmand] 19. juni kl. 13:12
I've got some stuff that should help with the save file, but yeah Ironman mode is not recommended, not without backups.
FELIDÆ 19. juni kl. 12:11
great thing would be to know is that ironman should not be turned on

i would even suggest deleting the button whatsoever cos losing a 40+ hour campaign due to save file getting bigger than 10 mb is very fun and engaging
RhodeXLX 15. juni kl. 20:11
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, @dean66683 :) Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean? Are you hitting more shots than you feel like you should?

There haven't been any reported issues with shot percentages being misleading. Perhaps we could take a look at your game logs and LWOTC config files.
And by "we", I mean Ted, since I don't know how to interpret these :D
dean66683 15. juni kl. 9:32
What has happened to this game!? I swear i don't remember the shot % being so inaccurate?? Almost unplayable. i complete wotclw2 many years ago and decided to re-download . Has somebody fked around with the mods?
dean66683 15. juni kl. 5:27
many thanks tedster. I could have sworn i bought shen's last gift with wotc many many years ago. thanks again.
Tedster  [ophavsmand] 14. juni kl. 17:28
@dean66683 - you'll want to use AML to run things, since Yet Another F1 works but doesn't have the "For WOTC" flag so the base launcher won't load it. the "Error detected attempting load of package: LW_perkpack_integrated" means you're missing Shen's Last Gift
dean66683 14. juni kl. 8:42
also "yet another f1" mod it says you need, it also says isnt for wotc in mod selecter???
dean66683 14. juni kl. 8:41
"Error detected attempting load of package: LW_perkpack_integrated". I also get- "you'll need a new app to open this ms-gaming overly link". what's really confusing is the first time i loaded the game up (with mods) it worked!! even with the "you'll need a new app to open this ms-gaming overly link" msg coming up. ideas?
Nico 13. juni kl. 11:20
@Andras: It might be a good idea to go to the troubleshooting channel of the LWotC Discord, they usually have way more knowledge about potential problems and it's also easier to talk over there than in here.
Andras 13. juni kl. 9:48
@Gerishnakov i started a brand new campaign, i dont have any save files anymore
Gerishnakov 13. juni kl. 9:08
@Andras Did you start a brand new campaign or did you load an existing save after adding the DLC?
Andras 13. juni kl. 2:26
Alr i added the Shens last gift dlc and could play past the first tutorial mission, but now the game went black screen after central hands over the base command to me. I asume there should have been a cutscreen playing or something. Anyone had this issue? I have no other mods installed.
Nico 13. juni kl. 1:48
@Andras: It usually means that you do not have the Shens Last Gift DLC installed, which is a hard requirement for this mod. So either buy and install the DLC (the Reinforcement Pack DLC) Or go use the legacy version 1.1 of this mod that does not require the DLC.
Andras 13. juni kl. 1:34
I keep having an error stating "Error detected attempting load of package: LW_PerkPack_Integrated" when i try to start up the game with this mod active. Can anyone tell me what this is about?
RhodeXLX 11. juni kl. 2:59
@Cheesewheeler You know, this game overhauls everything, including the tutorials and Gatecrasher. It isn't supposed to work if you try to continue a non-LWOTC save with LWOTC.
Big Brother Max 8. juni kl. 16:01
Hey quesiton for this stuff like mushashi and what not require stuff like secondaries and promotion screen and it gievs an error saying it wont work otherwise but those mods are integrated into the mod set no? Will they work reagrdless do you know or is that something to go to musashi about?
Nico 7. juni kl. 10:13
@The Plague: If you want to play the current version then yes, it is required. But you can also use version 1.1, then it is not required.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3337324898
Pulse 7. juni kl. 9:42
is shen's last gift necessary to play this mod? isn't there an option to play without it?
CovertOwl 6. juni kl. 12:09
Excited to play a new campaign with all the changes that happened to this mod since I played a few years ago.
Carlen 4. juni kl. 19:29
@Tedster Ok,thanks
Tedster  [ophavsmand] 4. juni kl. 19:19
Yes, Shen's Last Gift needs to be enabled
