1) the cosmetic Halloween spell potions, which dropped from Halloween gifts (back when those existed) or could be crafted from special items (in 2012) and which could be permanently applied to weapons and cosmetic items, similar to how paint cans and Strangifiers work,

2) the in-game Halloween map spells that are built into certain Halloween maps, which can be accessed via the Action Slot items Spellbook or Spell Journal and work like temporary Power-Ups during each match.

I honestly hope Valve sees this and actually considers it, it would be a perfect return of spells everyone would love, but sadly knowing how valve is I'm not going to hold my breath on it, but I'm very happy to see people putting in the effort into bringing back a great concept. keep up the good work

I have some ideas:

A spell that recolors the gas passers fog effect,

A spell that replaces the The Huo-Long Heaters fire ring with a pentagram, and a recolor,

A spell that make heavies edible items to scream while being eaten,

A spell that spawns spiders, and spiderwebs on killed enemies,

A spell that doubles the bleeding particles on weapons that deal bleeding damage,

Cursed Weapon:A spell that makes your weapon whisper sometimes like the Eyelander,

Posessed: When the player model is speaking a light beam is coming out of their mouth,

Tombmaker:Spawns a special tomb on killed enemies.

As much as I love these and would be overjoyed to see spells back in any form, they're not coming back. Too many particle effects break servers, and spells are a really easy way to do that because they all count, even the paints. It's also why unusual miscs don't drop anymore.
