@PawzLover - please see the new xenotype version. I am not maintaining the HAR version of minotaurs anymore, and do not intend to in the future.

I have to zone them out of the stylist station with an inverted zone clipped without the station. They still get the mood debuff but cannot access the station

I have just encountered the "look change desired" issue and it's basically brought my game to a halt as the colonist in question will no longer eat or get recreation nor will he SLEEP, he'll keep going till he collapses and then when he's awake again he goes back to the styling station and starts all over again.

This one keep stacking in log and apparently I lost one pawn of different origin than minotaur([SYR] Naga) after attempting to load an autosave with that error.

My Minotaur has the need "look change desired" and just keep using the stylist station nonstop and the need does not go off, any solutions?

For some reason, it seems that this mod is breaking hair for human pawns. Both with and without other hair mods.

hello! this is one of my favorite race mods and I've been playing with it for quite a while now. I would like to report that for some unknown reason the styling station shows no hair, beard and tattoo options what so ever. i don't know if it's caused by my mod list or this is a fault of the mod itself. Still it is the only race that this happens. I don't know if it matters but i also have the north-facing head bug too.

I'll have to research that one at some point then, since that sounds like something I'd have assumed HAR would already cover. Admittedly, I've not played RimWorld in nearly half a year, and I'm not sure I'll be getting back into it any time soon.

If anyone happens to come up with fixes for these issues, they're welcome to release their own versions.

Just found an interesting bug. Minotaur corpses don't count as 'corpses' for the purposes of cremation in a crematorium. My colonists incinerated all the bodies of the human raiders, but the minotaur ones were left alone and when I tried to force the job it said 'No available corpses'.

I'm aware of the tattoos being the source of the issue. I've been trying to work on a solution that lets me have both the tattoos, and not break the mod. I may have an idea how to do it, but would involve getting more C# work commissioned.

Unfortunately, I'm a touch burnt-out on RimWorld at the moment, but am hoping to be able to find a good fix at some point. I will probably have to go the C# route, using the same system as the minotaur headwear uses.

Saw an earlier comment talking about the heads disappearing when facing away, and wanted to say that this bug also happens with me even though I don't use "[KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats". When I use the Character Editor Mod to get rid of their tattoo, the head returns though. Just wanted to point that out if it helps.

Minotaur bears are not currently available, since making working texture for them is a huge pain in the butt. However, the XML exists to allow people to enable them should they decide to make their own textures.

Folder \Textures\Things\Pawn\Minotaur\Beards\ is empty for now but MinoBeards.xml has records of files from there. Is it norm? Also it is imposible change any preferences at Ideology adjusment for any minotaur's beards have not choose options (empty string whithout radiobuttons interface).

That is... not an error I've ever seen before, I'm afraid. I'm unsure how to help you with it. I'd suggest attempting to unsubscribe and re-subscribing to the mod, and attempting to run the mod only with its requirements to see if it still appears. It's not one I think I can fix without a bit more info though.

Hey Arr, do you still get this issue when not using any mods related to backstories? It would be helpful to know if this is a mod compatibility issue, or an oversight with base game RimWorld.

I'm still getting the error report, but also noticed none of my mods have updated yet. I'll try again later, it's possible your update hasn't propogated itself across Steam yet.

@snowcraft, I'll check it out. As for what I was doing, literally would load the game and get that error report immediately on the main menu. Just having the mod active was enough to trigger the error logs. Didn't notice any effects in the game though, just the error report every time I'd load RimWorld.

@ecroose this is a known issue with another mod. "[KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats" (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1180826364) is presently incompatible with the minotaur mod and is causing these issues. Every single person that has poked me about this issue was using that mod, and it disappeared when they disabled it.

I do not know a work-around at this moment, and you may need to consult the author of that mod for compatibility.

not sure if anyones pointed it out but minotaurs facing away from the camera lose their heads, they come back when looking right, left or forward though

Just so everyone is aware, I am working on an update for the minotaur mod presently. I've just run into some small roadblocks in the art front, for the broken horn addons I am working on. Things are mostly, fine, but it may take a little while for my to figure out the last few textures and get them to a decent point graphically.

I've also made new graphics for minotaur face tattoos, but need a good method to have them loaded instead of the normal tattoos for my race. If I can get that working, I will probably also use it for the headwear textures I have for minotaurs. If I can't get them working by the 10th of the next month (basically, if I can't find someone to help with the C#), I'll just release what I have for people to enjoy.

Using mods like Character Editor, you can start with a mixed-race colony. And nothing prevents a human or minotaur colony from accepting and recruiting members of other races. However, there is currently no mixed-race colony and tribe start options. I can look look into handling it through an optional patch in the future, perhaps.

You're better off asking the developer of the Xeva FB body type @Soaryne. I'm not really knowledgeable enough to be making patches other mods that change vanilla content.

Sorry @Soaryne but I don't use CE, and have no idea in the slightest how to do that. However, if someone wants to create a CE patch for the minotaurs, I'd not be against it.
