Yea, thats usually how it is. Its easy to demand things but when I suggest someone actually helping out there is seldom any response.

@Pong I had nothing to do with creating this mod, Ive updated it and used it in game so my view is primary as a user. I have no intention of expanding or reworking it, but if someone wants to take a look at it I welcome any pr on the github repo.

@Mlie You know it from the inside out. But how users see it:

Button #1:
Bed 'w green check, (default) "Public", tooltip: "Belongs to room"
toggles graphic to
Bed 'w red x, "Assigned to bed", tooltip: "Belongs to room"

...so, red x means yes it's switched on; green check on bed means no it's not bed assigned?

...and one or both tooltips are lying?

Button #2:
Bed 'w green "+", "Connect to room", tooltip: "Connect to room" (default none)
Activates a crosshair cursor for selecting any tile.

...undocumented feature for connecting to a distant bedroom? Any spot on the floor OK? Does this add all beds owners from the other room, and does it disallow pawns from the local (button #1) room?

Button #3:
Bed 'w red cancel, "Unassign from room"
Restores default behaviour.

@Mlie Second Dizzy Loeuy's finding the interface confusing. Original Description refers to one button 'assigned to bed', but current mod has three buttons and none with that label.

Please explain in Info how the three buttons interact logically.

I'm still getting a conflict with J on LWM's Storage Expanded Playing on Version 1.4... I did try to open up the mod to see if I could edit out the bind myself but since I couldn't find a place that has the source code I couldn't so I beg plz get that J outta there

So since it took me ages to figure this out, I'm going to post it here in case it helps anyone else.

Whenever I used your Tab-sorting mod, many buildings would lose the gizmos added by this mod. If I trimmed my mod list down to only include this mod and Tab-sorting, the problem went away, so I knew there was a third mod involved.

It turned out to be Smart Minify, which has an option (enabled by default) to "Create thing categories if needed". When enabled, it will change each building's thing category to match its designation category. So for example, an end table would go from having a thing category of BuildingsFurniture to BuildingsBedroomTab.

Since this mod only works on things with the BuildingsFurniture thing category, it broke this mod for any building that was moved out of the Furniture tab. Disabling that option in Smart Minify's mod settings and restarting resolved the issue completely.

No worries if you don't have time for it! It's a very minor issue anyway, and considering the size of my modlist, it might very well be unrelated to either. It's avoidable if I don't toggle anything in a prisoner's room, which isn't too big of a deal tbh.

@Max I did not write the original description, I just updated the mod. But I can look into it, perhaps the updated rimfridge mod does things differently.

I've reported it to both the RimFridge dev, and here. There were no fridges in the prisoner room, and removing all fridges from the map didn't seem to stop the error. Wasn't sure if you were doing any patching of RimFridge, and perhaps something wacky was going on there (since you mention in the description that this mod has explicit compatibility).

Setting any part of a prisoner room's furniture to "Assigned to bed" causes continuous errors to appear related to " System.InvalidOperationException: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. ". This error also seems to be referencing RimFridge: " at RimFridge.Patch_FoodUtility_TryFindBestFoodSourceFor.Postfix ".

@kongkim If you want to assign multiple beds to one object, you can shift-click. This should would with this mod as that's just vanilla code - it's how I assign multiple people in a house to their bathrooms :)

Reporeting: This mod with zombieland mod don't go well together. When you use both and try deconstruct something the game freeze for like 1-2 sec, every f.... wall or thing you take down

@kongkim Id say that the best way to define who owns things in a guest-house is to set it to the room rather than a bed. That way all bed-owners in the room can use it. Be aware that this will block pawns from using them as well as interacting in any way, for example repairing

1: Guests come and leave, can it automatically find out who owns the things when they come and leave or die, etc.

2: Let's say you have like 20 guest beds running a hotel. Will that many owned things linked to many bends changing owners that often, hit your performance hard?

Is there a way to assign multiple rooms to a peace of furniture? I have a large house with a master bedroom and 3 children bedrooms but the fridge can only be assigned to one room.

Will this work with Neural Supercharger if I just plop it down in a person's bedroom and connect it to their room? Does it have to be placed in the bedroom too or it can placed in a public space and be connected to the bedroom?

check to see if the table is assigned as a gather spot first. It's a quirk of the base game, though idk yet if any of the DLCs patched that. I know it's a thing in base 1.4
