If you're running WotC, you've got the Highlander, and aren't running LWotC then I don't know. It worked fine for me when I tried it out.

This mod aims to bring the squad functionality from LW2/LWOTC to vanilla WOTC. As the title implies, this is currently in BETA and things might get chnaged (enhanced?) in the future. For now, this is just a QoL improvement, allowing you to create and outfit squads and send them into missions. There are no tactical benefits associated with keeping soldiers assigned to the same squad (unlike LW2/LWOTC), but in any case, feel free to use it for all your role-playing needs.

this works for all mods with the issue
figured out that if i just use the old mod launcher, even tho theres a warning icon, itll load up and work fine.
new problem now is that there is no controller support. i have to save and exit, switch back to mkb in the main splash screen, and the load in order to choose a squad or edit a squad, which is not the end of the world but quite annoying.
any chance this could be updated to be compatible with new mod launcher? I'm on steam deck and really do not want to mess with aml

Probably some kind of conflict. Does it appear with just this mod and CHL?
Indirectly yes, but someone would need to adapt (swap) my "WC_qUick_FLO" mod's UI flagging function (UC code) with whatever Squad/Logo references.
These new custom assets would then be shown during load-outs.
Currently, these spots are mostly filled with flags and/or ID tags as shown here...

Note; I wouldn't have time to work on that fix.
It helps me diversify the soldiers I bring out on missions and lets me train more recruits at a time plus it allows me to maximize combat bond effectiveness.
Grouping your soldiers like this can actually be a huge boon to your campaign if you can standardize your squads and know when to swap in a special unit.

Aaaand that test just happened; the new mod works, no CTD, not even a delay. So I guess "Full Shadow Report" will replace "Show Enemies and Terrain on mission planning" in my load order.

I figured out what's causing the CTD. I found a crashdump in AML, read that and it lead me to the actual culprit of the CTD:

Disabled that mod, loaded up the game, ignored the warning, and... no more crashing in the armory squad view, oddly enough.
Which is very... odd. I suspect the only people who can figure out why these two mods are the ones who made them.
It's also possible that these two mods play nicely together, and it's a 3rd mod I have that is causing the issue between them (very possible since there are currently 366 mods enabled). If anyone knows how to share a modlist, lemme know. Perhaps someone will see what mods I have running and manage to figure this out.

After this event, any time I try to click the squad view button in squad management, it will freeze, close the window, and then CTD. I'm honestly unsure what could be causing it.
My current theory is that it might have to do with sitreps, but I'm unsure.The only two mods I have that affect sitreps is:
Multiple Sitreps 2.0
and
Resistance Heroes Incursion sitrep
Other than that, perhaps something that touches the squad select screen is messing with things? Unsure. Need to look through mod list.
I'm still trying to diagnose what happened because, far as I can tell, there are no incompatible mods in my setup. Weirdly, starting a new game did not reproduce the effect. At the same time, loading an older save and using squad view did not cause a CTD either.
I am unsure what happened exactly, So, perhaps something happened between that month but I'm not sure. The only significant thing that happened was that I got a retaliation mission and was using these two mods; both of them spawned at once, and I'm not sure if that was intended behavior.

I will continue playing and see if the same problem happens again and report back my findings.
Be sure when you dismiss a soldier that they are not part of any squads.
that would be insanely useful
or if you could "lock" the squad in the squad management & be able to handle all the other stuff from there
(editing soldiers, bonds ....)
or both actually haha

I was wondering if someone had a solution for my problem: I created several squads with assigned soldiers. But when a mission starts and I have to select soldiers: the pre-made squads selection screen is empty (as if I have no squads) could someone please help me ?
