@Osphex, no sync. All units with LR radio at mission start get action menu. If a player takes the LR backpack during mission, the action menu to use LR radio is created for other players.

with the modules placed, do I have to sync the module with the units that are supposed to Operate LR Communications or is it simply to add Radios from the Backbacks slots?

I dont really get that part, so a detailed explanation would be really appreciated:smileduck:

Hey made a fix for server side so JIP works. Basically in multiplayer, when a new instance of the LR it will have the actions, lmk if you want the fix. Also may I have permission to pack this in another mod for a private community?

@JEZwithNODS, yes, just after mission start paste and execute it in console. That will add interaction menu to all units having LR (backpacks) radios.

At the moment one has to do some workaround, in console execute locally the script:

It may be outside the scope of your mod, but how about adding a sort of "table with radio" where we could sit as if we were in a vehicle and had access to a long-distance radio (modeled on the table). A stereo resource similar to your landline phones, only that they work like a regular radio, useful for fixed positions or headquarters.

@Yurichenco, it is possible to realize it via script in a mission, where player with a roll unrolls the rope until next phone and connects two field phones, to be able to communicate. It was realized and tested. However test shows that the long rope consumes a lot of server resources, especially when it is long. In MP mission it leads to considerable drop of fps. That is why it was not included in to the mod.

Hi, as a suggestion, don't you think that mobile phones should be connected to each other with cables to work? I find it a bit pointless to simply leave the roll of wires next to the phone.

@Nigel, If you use Zeus Enhanced mod you can execute script in the attributes of the placed object: _this call KIF_fnc_Register_Phone;
It has to be executed on server side (T where the object is local).

@Ioun999, strange issue, can you check if the problem remains if only the mods CBA, ace, TFAR, and ww2 phones are used? May be the reason is some incompatibility with some other mod.

@KpoT, the mod is just what I've been searching for a functional HQ. Just a little issue with the LR Radio handset, I put down the Radio Operator Module but can't seem to get the option for pickup a handset from another unit's LR backpack (action and ace). I can't seem to find the same issue in past comments.

@Xmel, in the MP community where I play Arma we do not use ACRE, therefore no adoption to ACRE system is planned.

actually, it appears i fixed it - in the global TFAR settings i enabled the "dont mute manually on teamspeak" and the "initialize on briefing/start" options and it works pretty regularly

using tfar beta, im also experiencing an issue where sometimes it works well but you could restart the mission and the phones would break.

You hear a quick radio squelch when you answer the phone, then nothing - or the other person can hear you, or you can only hear them
