these big side mirrors obscure side view while turning could there be any mod for small side mirrors just like those in cars

LOL, I just now realized when I referred to "the Mack problem" I was talking about ATS. OMG, oops. But same idea. Mirror problems with those trucks too.

It was well hidden, since the developer gave up on it because he didnt want the mod to be downlaoded everywhere. BS if you ask me. Unfortunately, it was for the 1.38 version and it doesn't work anymore. The view is too dark and doesn't display lights, rather useless.

Where did you find the mod for the interior mirror?

It is, but it requires some work. I did use an interior mirror a few months ago, like the one in the new DAF for the Scania, but somehow the view on it was a bit off and bugged. To fix it, I had to use the standard mirror as reference.
The result gave me the screens inside, but the outside was showing the standard one.

I didn't think you could because of the way the 3D modeling is I thought maybe the main mirrors were attached to the regular truck as one model not like the add-on parts. But if you're able to accomplish it good luck. I think there's already a mod out there that fixes the Mack problem. But it's simply moves the mirrors further in it doesn't actually remove them. Also would be a bonus I've seen other mods do this but I'm not sure if you can remove it from the interior view but then still see the mirror there from an external view. I wonder if that is possible.

I wish there was a mirror remover for the main rear view mirrors, for those that use HUD mirrors and want to increase their visibility when looking for cross traffic.

no? this mod isn't lagging me. With the side mirror gone, my frames are a little bit better bc the game doesnt have to project another mirror.

i don't see how is the mod lagging, it is just a file replacement. Are you sure it is this mod? Maybe it is conflicting with another one.

you know, in my opinion, don't hate on them for this. Nobody really cares about all the ATS mods, though most of those trucks would likely violate many laws in many European countries also

They mounted mirrors on trucks by law. Failure to comply with statutory mirrors could result in fines and deprivation of the right to drive lorries in Europe.

its there for a reason though, its not even like the mirror spoils the look neither. imo

All Trucks in real Life have that side mirror for a reason, as a retired trucker, you need that mirror to see cycles ..... pedestrians and other unseen obstacle's that can find it's way in that particular space. I cannot see the point of removing a safety mirror.

Personally I play as close to reality as I can get with my game, as it is law to have 7 mirrors on a truck in reality, it is therefore incompetent as you then want to break the law in Europe
