I am going to remove my two mods of old and try that one out. Maybe this and the food restrictions aren't needed anymore I dunno :)

Animal Controls mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2426119067 seemingly has the same functionality as Animal Food Restrictions. Can I use that mod instead? Thank you)

Can confirm it's still saying in big red that it needs the 'Animal Tab' mod.
However it works just fine - the games base animals tab has the buttons and they work.

So weird........ works fine in my current mod list. I will peek at it again soon checking my version of animal tab and everything else in between just to make sure. Sometimes I use non steam versions as they are newer, and maybe something is off I don't know but i'l look.

Animal Tab still shows up as a dependency, ever after unsubscribing and physically deleting the folder for the mod and resubscribing, nothing changed,

Ok, I'll give it a shot tho full disclosure I hadn't played the game for a bit so I am playing off a fresh reinstall and only downloaded the mod last night.

I would say delete the mod, run the game, reinstall the mod. It's possible you have an old version or something. I did have to rewrite the dependencies for 1.4.

Yep under Dependencies, mine says "Depends on Animal Tsb, which is not loaded."

Loading Animal Tab does not change this.

Dunno why it's doing this for me if it's not doing it for you.

Mine seems to load and display no errors, and errors only when it's supposed to, when animal tab by fluffy is loaded after. I did however find that I used all lowercase in that package ID in the dependency in this MOD, so I made it exactly like fluffy's animal tab in case that had any thing to do with it and uploaded the changes.

When I use this mod, my mod manager screams at me that I need Animal Tab, even if I have Animal Tab.

O man this work perfectly, even with better pawn controls. didnt freeze the game like it used too. very nice mod. and now my cows don't eat my friggen devilstrand XD

i tried the 1.2 version of Animal Food Restrictions,
and this.
in game 1.3
my human pawns were unable to eat meals.
disabling it solved the problem.
shrug.

not sure the author plans to update Animal Food Restriction to 1.3.

they have created a more robust mod

Oh, really nice! Have you considered putting the required mod here in the page as well, to make it easy to find? Steam has a function for mods to list their required mods in the sidebar with "Created by", the original mod actually has this as well :)

It is actually. The author of animal food restrictions needs to update theirs a little, but forcing it with this one afterwards works just fine

I've updated this one to 1.3 though :)

can drugs be added to the filter list? my colonist are hellbent on poisoning my animals with highly alcoholic dwarven wine now, since it has a higher nutrition than hay?

It seems the "animal food restrictions" mod has been superceeded with a "Pawn" one. Can that work as the precursor for your mod? Or should I stick to the "Animal" one?

No worries at all. I think they're compatible, but sometimes mods freak out at each other's presence even without error messages or other immediately obvious stuff happening.

Do you know if this mod is compatible with Numbers ?

It looks like to be if I don't let that mod take over the Animals tab, but I don't know what happens under the hood, so I wouldn't mind getting confirmation.
