tried to fix it & its beyond broken. I can get the mod to load in the galaxy & function nearly normal except that the AI GUI in the galaxy map is broken & i've got no idea on how to fix it after countless hours.

also the Improved Orders causes Captains to bug out, shows as though the captain isnt in the captains seat

Knifeheart's Arsenal weapon mods, is another big person here, I hope they continue for a good amount of time, nice additions to the game.

@taza325 The community is not dead, and likely to linger for a good few more years at least. Mostly passion projects left of the BIG ones (like Xavorion) and you have a few dozen new modders that add their own, or fork an old mod still going.

Still plenty of ship builders out there too. But yeah unless Avorion really updates and fixes a few mechanics I dont see more then a few years left.

This looks cool. Similar to the pilot AI for player owned ships in X4 Foundations. I'll probably end up re-creating something like this mod since it hasn't been updated in many years.

please update this. it works with force loading in single player (or atleast i think) but any server will throw up an error and refuse to let a single player in with an outdated mod force loaded.
can't modify the mod files on my server either so i can't go in and change the version number myself

The game does not really work out for me without your mod. I cannot believe that the game developers didn't implement your ideas, which are great and also quite necessary for a proper game experience!

Actually...I think that one was on me. On a hunch, I moved one of my ships one sector away from my current position, and then the retreat-on-sight order worked as intended. Does the "safe sector" HAVE to be one which has some of your own ships in it?

So far, so good. I'm still learning how to use the mod, but I like the idea. I'll let you know how it goes. So far, the only complaint I have is about the retreat AI...for some reason, even though there's an explored, civilized sector, without any enemy ships, in hyperspace range, my ship won't jump away. It keeps saying "can't find safe sector".

This is so awesome! used its against the Xotan wormhole guardian or however you say it and it was perfect as my big ships would launch torpedoes and attack it and jump out and kept doing that it cleaned it up in about 5 mins. So cool keep up the good work :steamthumbsup:

been using this for a couple of hours and its saved all my miners at least one death, super helpful. only complaint i have is that once the retreat ai kicks in it makes that ship pretty much uncontrollable. i thought itd be useful to have combat ships that would retreat if they got too damaged in the middle of combat (which they do perfectly) but issuing commands to them (attack, move, etc) just doesn't work with the current settings thats allowed. from what i can tell, to enable the retreat behaviour you need to set the self-defense AI to be hostile (evasive wouldnt be helpful for a combat ship), that means that the AI will try to relentlessly attack things rather than follow orders. if i could disable that AI and just keep the retreat behaviour, that would nice. otherwise great mod, keep up the good work.
