I think that the designers probably had a Roman theme in mind for the game, and so they added some Roman-style features across the board, with names probably being one of them (one of Turkey's northern regions has the Latin word Et in the middle, meaning "And".)
Currently, the only working languages seem to be english and french.
@Wotan von Edelsburg I'm not sure what you mean exactly

Are you using other mods? Can you validate the game files with Steam?
Also, does this happen for ALL provinces, or just some of them?
If so, which province and for which culture?
The coverage is very wide but there are still cases where there simply doesn't exist a name for a province for in a particular language (culture), in which case the default name will remain unchanged.
E.g. if you conquer Sarmizegetusa (in Dacia) as a greek, the name will change to Zarmizegethoúsa, Arcidava (also in Dacia) to Argedauon, etc.
There are many new names being added, but since the I:R map is so huge and finding authentic ancient names is very difficult, the changes aren't incredibly noticeable.
Oh and it also changes a handful of the latin names to be more period-accurate.
The names are the same for all above languages, since they are in neither of those languages, but in classical latin, ancient greek, dacian, etc etc.
Languages with other alphabets are not supported though.
In order to force-clean and force-update the mod, please delete the following file

- Linux: /home/{{YourUsername}}/.paradoxinteractive/Crusader Kings III/mod/ugc_2219177532.mod
And then launch the game again
I am sorry for this but this is a Steam and/or Paradox Launcher issue that I cannot fix from my end
Please try again
I've fixed a lot of titles that were not showing up in game (mostly latin), and added a bunch of new ones (mostly greek)
But I was able to add quite a few greek names where they were missing
However, they are quite spread across the entirety of Europe so there's not one particular region where you will see a big change.
I also added some dacian/thracian names in modern-day Romania and neighbouring areas, and I plan to add more of those.
I have to update the readme on GitHub
