I completely forgot to mention one thing I'd very much like to see, lighter but more durable variations of the base-game armor blocks/plates for Ferro-fiberous and other battletech armors that aren't very well depicted in game, or exist within the mod, but only ass odd-shaped, not very flexibly placeable blocks

Gotta agree with Thedarkpickle, I'd love to see an add-on for naval weapons and armor panels.

I second the notion for naval weaponry, more powerful, larger, long-range variations of other weapons like PPCs and lasers

Now sure if you ever did it already but going with the whole prototech idea and making Clan variants of some of the weapons could be cool.

depends on the look you want i guess.. sometimes i get in the mood to mix large and small grid of the SAME block onto a build to change the look...

I know about the hinge and rotor. I just think that making large grid variants would be nicer to stick on a large grid ship.

shouldn't be that hard, switch secondary parts on hinge/rotor from large to small... or there are mods that let you add small to large and large to small.. most notable i've used are "Electronics Panel and Attachments" mods... only issue is one is not conveyor-able....

thats a weaponscore issue, i was never able to solve the tracking issues since weaponcore was never emant to have tracking missiles below 1km

Honestly its an absolutely fantastic mod I adore and I think you did a great job at making the weaponry :shigure2::nekoheart:

the hinge armor is to hide the joints from damage while the 2x3 armor is to absorb a penetrating hit and spread it to a bigger area that would normally go through since heavy armor blocks are really bad at not being penetrated

I'm curious as to what the specific reason you made each new extra armor block for the mod and their intended purpose.

Like the "Hinge Side Armor" is obvious, you put it on the side of hinges to protect them, but what about the "Lightweight Ferro-Fiberous Armor Panels"? Are they used to be outside armor or internal? Do you use them to decorate the outside and protect internals, or is it an internal block that you decorate with light armor blocks on the outside?

What about the "Structural Pole"? What part of a Battletech mech were you thinking this piece was gonna be used for?

I'm guessing the BT is outside aesthetics? But I'm also curious to the Hinge armors and what the full capabilities of them are :nekoheart:

there used to be a way of doing this and im pretty sure it still exists. all stats concerning weaponcore can be adjusted by using a config file for a certain world/save. please ask on the weaponcore discord im sure they can help you

Is there a way to config or change stats to un-nerf these weapons when used vs large grids? I love these guns but want to use them to make anti-capital fightercraft.

the small gyros components are changed so they are not misused as armor
the compact gyro is similar just less expensive to make and has a smaller hitbox

any way to get separate gyros? these gyros replace the original ones and since it takes different plates its just kind of a inconvenience. if not its fine, like i said its just a inconvenience.

Hi there, was curious if there were any plans to make basic ferro fiber blocks (i.e. vanilla shapes) kinda like in the og attempt at BT parts? Love the current ones for greebling, but could see serious usefulness in being able build general armor structure out of it.

While others said you could copy and paste sounds from MWLL to make it sound better, it seems like you enjoyed making the sounds yourself. Since I don't really want to discourage you from doing that, here is what I might do:

If you are making laser sounds, a synth with envelopes is going to be your friend :)
I use vital all the time and it's totally free. You could route it into audacity using VB audio cable, which is also free, or you can use the VST direct in a trial of REAPER, which is only $60 for personal use after full-featured one month trial.

The envelopes are super important for getting that WEEEEowwww sort of effect, because you apply the curve to a filter or the amplitude of an oscillator, or whatever, and it just follows it.

I wouldn't mind contributing to this project if you were open to it though!

i know the sounds arent AAA, but i made all of them myself in Audacity :D some from mashing vanilla sounds together, some by generating tones from scratch and putting many effects on them

Need some better sounds for the weapons, I guess you can't probably rip those ones from MWO because PGI would get mad, but you could probably try to rip them from MWLL perhaps?

Besides that it's really 5/5. No Heavy Gauss tho :(

it shouldnt break any blueprints, the modded version just uses different steel plates with less integrity so you cant abuse them as armor, stats and weight are the same

I don't know if it's a problem, but my buddy has this in a modpack and wanted the default gyroscope for non-Battletech blueprints. I haven't had time to play yet but figured I'd ask on his behalf.

i think there is a file you can make to change some stats of weaponcore guns in a world, best to ask that on their workshop item or discord

would be nice to have like a full video step by step of a mech building, your guide is very complete and that savegame your made also helps but in the end the shape of the mech matters a lot too and you got some mad skills there man, i use to play battletech original and you got a lot of its original spirit!

well repasting is usually what we did in the solaris matches, maybe you can make it stand up by deactivating all the subgrid gyros and then overriding the main ones to manually get it back up

hey man fantastic stuff u did here, i use to play battletech the board game 20 years ago, and this is amazing to play here, just 1 question: when my Mech falls on the ground, how do i make him stand again? on the BlackArmor mechs he puts override gyros on the legs so its easy to make them stand again, any tips you could give me? i dont want to paste the mech again everytime he falls on creative and also want to use them on survival.
