Yeah it's the VEF Vanilla Expanded Framework because once I activated the "Blood Color Genes" mod it depended on that one and either one of them is doing it.

This mods forces the pawn UI bar to glitch and it gets hidden when you manually equip the extinguisher.

thanks man, could you maybe just remove the capitalisation in 'extinguisher' from the research tab as it's annoying how it's the only research to have upper camel casing

Hi Mlie - just a heads up - the "Simple Sidearms Fire Extinguisher Fix" was integrated into Simple Sidearms itself, resulting in a rather long error:

I'm having a problem - the FE shelves seem to eat the extinguishers - pawns place them into the shelves and the extinguisher seems to vanish - the shelf seems to be empty, when I empty its storage orders nothing is hauled out and when deconstructed I get only materials for the shelf... Might be some conflict - I have a pretty huge mod list. Anyone happened to encounter it?

At least all the other red errors have gone (thanks for that) but still getting one red error:

@Mlie Just FYI, I just spent 3 days debugging a game-breaking bug with SimpleSidearms until I noticed your embedded copy.
Your copy completely breaks the game with a recent SimpleSidearms.

@Tec The Fire Warden, the companion mod for this mod, is meant to be used for automatic use. Not sure how it handles the SS update, havent had time to check yet

the errors arent from this mod, having the tool switch enabled is fine. However pawns will not automatically use the fire extinguisher, you have to manually select and use it in draft mode. There was a mod i had installed called "Pawns Use Fire Extinguishers" which made them automatically use it. However upon Simple Sidearms latest update, it causes errors that make a save unplayable due to an error in the job tasker. So i had to disable it, so for now, you have to manually get your pawns to use this fire extinguisher.

Exact same issue as Typical Lama. RimPy puts SS below FW/FE. I moved SS above and at least I can crashland now. I have auto tool switch disabled in SS. Still have a few red errors but can't say if they are from this or not unless these mean anything to you ?
eg SimpleGunMap already has short hash.

@Tec weird i got it disabled by default. Also with it disabled, i couldn't even land much less research it.(The pawns were stuck in the "landing" phase of crashlanding - only shadows on the ground and my log was constatnly filled with red and yellow errors)
@Mile That sounds like Tool use autoswitch - "Should pawns switch tools/weapons with statboost for their current job" is the description in options. I've got it disabled.

"EDIT1:" Wanted to check if enabling it fixes it - But found out that with both it enabled and disabled now, i can now land? Weird, I'm unsure what fixed it, maybe Fire ext. being last on the modlist? dunno
"EDIT2:" Yep, it seems like fire ext. must be below simple sidearms to work properly, else you can't even land. Might i suggest adding that "fire ext. must be below simple sidearms" incompatibility notification we get in mod manager?(i have no clue how it works, but some mods have that)

i have this mod enabled with simple sidearms and it doesnt crash my game. though i havnt researched it yet to test the extingishers themselves. But the auto tool switch option is enabled by default, at least it was for me.

@Typical Lama I just heard that there were a new function that would autoequip utility items when the pawns did that type of work. Like equipping a saw when doing logging. Havent had time to check it out yet.
But Ill take a look at this issue.

I have no clue what you mean exactly by "utility function"? Can't find it in any release's description. If you mean tool autoswitch then no, i've got it disabled. If not, where would i find out whether i'm using it or not?

I'm running Simple sidearms too and it completly breaks it, altho i'm not sure if it's just simple sidearms or anything else. Basically everyone be wary when adding this to your modlist.

No probs. I haven't added or changed anything in my load order since 1.0.8. Also, just wanted to check - it's not conflicting with something in the your other continued mod - "Firewarden" as you also put in that mod - Pawns incapable of violence can now use extinguishers ? I use that too.

Sorry - but for me, still not 100% working.

If the extinguisher is the ONLY "weapon" equipped, it shoots the foam - but does not appear as an icon in the sidearms widget.

The extinguisher doesn't show up as an icon in the "sidearms" widget if you are also carrying a ranged weapon, meaning you can't manually select it.

If you drop the extinguisher on the ground, you do not have the option to (re-)equip as "tool".
Maybe it's the "Firewarden" code doing this or not but it's doing that thing again where it switches between primary weapon and the extinguisher meaning those particular pawns don't deal with the fire fighting leaving it to the others with just the single extinguisher.

@Naiyasfury @multiplayer_rocks Should be fixed now, sorry about that. Mixed up the Simple Sidearms-detection in the optimization.
