Cautious question
I know your prowess is restoring mods
but is it possible to make VE Aperitif not allowed by default?

...
come to think of it
I should just Cherry Picker it out of existence

Thanks for keeping the modding scene alive Mlie!

@TurtleShroom Tested this by saving a game, adding a mod with a new drug and is this mod. The new drug showed up in the existing policies with no issues. Not sure what the issue could be in your save.
TurtleShroom Jun 16, 2024 @ 1:35pm
EDIT: I need to make a clarification. I can't load a saved game AT ALL and get that error when I try, so I cannot actually go into the game and change the Drug Policy.
TurtleShroom Jun 16, 2024 @ 1:34pm
This Mod doesn't do anything for me. I added a new drug to my saved game midway and got the error this was supposed to fix:
Exception from asynchronous event: System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range.

.

All it does on my end is alphabetize things.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks for the update!

@lol It does in my tests at least.

Nor does it sort drug policies, it seems: https://gist.github.com/d83a7f0761a5e55e120326b30677768d

Just a heads up it looks like in 1.4 existing drug policies are updated so you don't have to remake them. The only feature this mod really adds now is sorting drugs by letter order.
Davi Apr 8, 2022 @ 12:16am
Okay for some reason when I have a policy selected I cannot delete anything but if i open the menu it has nothing selected and it then lets me delete policies. Super weird, sorry for spamming your mod page since it didnt really have anything to do with your mod :D
Davi Apr 8, 2022 @ 12:06am
No its to do with the fact that something is preventing me from deleting any policies, even the ones I created and not sure what would be causing this.
Davi Apr 8, 2022 @ 12:05am
This mod isnt causing this tho since I just disabled it and still cant delete them  hmm
Mlie  [author] Apr 8, 2022 @ 12:02am
@Davi not sure that cherrypicker removals is supported
Davi Apr 7, 2022 @ 11:58pm
I disabled a drug (since I had 2 wines) and anything to do with it with cherry picker and an error was coming up because the policies are saved into the save so I had to delete them but the button doesn't do anything.
Davi Apr 7, 2022 @ 11:56pm
I am unable to delete drug policies and just realised im using this mod
bearhiderug Nov 22, 2021 @ 8:09am
Drugs sorted alphabeticly...
perfect
Mlie  [author] Sep 24, 2021 @ 11:54pm
@John Longdong Just drugs
Lambda Sep 24, 2021 @ 11:27pm
does this work with food policies?
Mlie  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 8:15am
@Alien_Halls #TôB Just delete it in the policy gui and create a new one. It will reread all drugs then.
Alien_Halls Nov 12, 2020 @ 6:50am
@Mile how can i do that?
Mlie  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 4:56am
@Alien_Halls #TôB Then they did not use the vanilla way of defining the drug. Youll just have to delete and add the policy instead.
Alien_Halls Nov 12, 2020 @ 4:32am
@Mile i can't find that drug on the Drug Policy tab.
Mlie  [author] Nov 11, 2020 @ 10:52pm
@Alien_Halls #TôB The mod i generic, as long as the drugs are correctly written it should work fine
Alien_Halls Nov 11, 2020 @ 5:23pm
Can you add the drug "Lazarus Mech Injector" from "Sparkling Worlds Addons - Mech Serum Crafting - Standalone Addon" to the Drug Policy tab?
Thacory Nov 9, 2020 @ 9:21am
They said that they will change it the next time they will bugfix the mod.
Thank you for the replies!
Mlie  [author] Nov 9, 2020 @ 8:44am
@Thacory I think a change on their part would be better, considering Im not the original author of this mod so Im not sure on how to solve it. But if they cant I can try to find a solution for it.
Thacory Nov 9, 2020 @ 8:05am
While you see the different quality stages of Ambrandy as distinct entries in the drug policies ("Ambrandy (Poor)",..), the wine does not get this differentiation, there is only "wine" and you can't prevent your people from drinking the legendary stuff on the next party, which is why I think the Drug Policy Fix gets confused here and just adds the wine again each time you load a savegame.

I will also propose the Vanilla Expanded team to change the wine to the same mechanism that they use for the Ambrandy for better control with the drug policies.
Thacory Nov 9, 2020 @ 7:47am
The wine has the <compClass>CompQuality</compClass> tag.

Another kind of alcohol from their brewing mod can also increase in quality (Ambrandy), but here they use different defs for each quality stage (VBE_AmbrandyAwful, VBE_AmbrandyPoor... ) without the CompQuality tag. This one works fine with the Drug Policy Fix.
Mlie  [author] Nov 9, 2020 @ 5:07am
@Thacory Strange, are they generating it each time in their mod or how have they solved the quality/value?
Thacory Nov 9, 2020 @ 3:55am
There is a bug with the wine from Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval. It will be added to the drug policy lists again each time you load a savegame so you will end up with dozens of entries for the same thing.
This wine can have different levels of quality and value which probably is the culprit.

Thank you for the update, its a very useful mod!

@Saradion Its on the todo-list
Ælianthe Aug 13, 2020 @ 8:45am
YES! Do you intend to update Drug Response as well or is it not needed?
Eng-Chasers Aug 12, 2020 @ 10:04pm
Thank you!
