I think it is bugged somehow, I cannot ferment beer if I only load less than 250 worts, and the limit setting does not work properly
Mlie  [author] Jul 26 @ 11:21pm
@Scarlet Ice I assume so
Scarlet Ice Jul 26 @ 5:26pm

@Mile, looking at those descriptions, I'm guessing Dubs bad hygiene?
Mlie  [author] Jan 4, 2022 @ 1:11pm
@submeg Do you know what mod adds Ferment_DBH_Biosolids?
submeg Jan 4, 2022 @ 12:14pm
Hey @Mile, thanks for the amazing resurrecting that you do! Only issue in my log right now is to do with the fermenter:

While it may work with VGP Garden Drinks, it's not picking up the brews in VGP Garden Drinks UF: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2167582651
EDIT: Awesome anime, but something did NOT copy...

@tierrehcc They are two different mods
tierrehcc Aug 12, 2021 @ 11:32am
Sorry then. I can't really understand what's the difference between them.
Mlie  [author] Aug 12, 2021 @ 10:18am
@tierrehcc That patch is from the universal fermenter. Not this mod

@Neosuduno Yea, its not really a medieval tech
Neosuduno Apr 11, 2021 @ 11:29pm
I just read it needs packaged survival meals researched. My medieval playthough wont get it.
Mlie  [author] Apr 11, 2021 @ 11:27pm
@Neosuduno You make pasteurised milk in the fermenter
Neosuduno Apr 11, 2021 @ 11:22pm
One problem. The recipes call for Pasteurised milk, but there is no way to make it, despite the claim that their is. is their a mistake here, and it is supposed to use regular milk for the recipies?
Neosuduno Mar 9, 2021 @ 7:55pm
I am surprised the huge keg cannot make Mead. That was one of the reasons they were made in the first place.
Mlie  [author] Feb 27, 2021 @ 9:42am
Any product can be made in the fermenter, it just needs the patches. Since I dont use the mod myself it would be helpful if requests about additions included the products, amounts and fermenting time.
Dr Coomer Feb 27, 2021 @ 8:35am
can we have morrowrim alchohol support?
Bree Feb 5, 2021 @ 7:57am
Does this mod allow the production of Vodka/Whiskey/Sake in the large industrial fermenter? Because I only have the beer option when I've tried it.
Most Definitely a Mimic Jan 7, 2021 @ 2:34pm
Would love a way in this mod to bulk make Cheese from VFE - Vikings
IDreamofZombie Dec 9, 2020 @ 12:22pm
@Mlie Thank you!
Mlie  [author] Dec 9, 2020 @ 12:02pm
@IDreamofZombie You can remove stuff from your local version of the mod. All fermenting recipes are in the file Defs\Fermentation\Defs_Fermentation.xml
IDreamofZombie Dec 9, 2020 @ 7:20am
Let me start by saying I love this mod and have used it for awhile. I wish to only use this for beer brewing, it is so much superior than the vanilla vats. Is there anyway to disable all the other items it brings to the game, and only have the fermenter added?
Kayedon Oct 1, 2020 @ 8:30am
Any time, that's why I'm here!
Mlie  [author] Oct 1, 2020 @ 12:20am
@Kayedon Should be a notice on the yoghurts description now, thanks for reporting!
Mlie  [author] Sep 30, 2020 @ 10:08pm
@Kayedon Alright, ill take a look at the tooltip
Kayedon Sep 30, 2020 @ 2:28pm
I just spawned one unit each of natural yoghurt and cottage cheese, and I already have fruit yoghurt and mozzarella cheese. Ain't a fan of the cheeses having a food poisoning chance, so mostly just use them as an ingredient as I believe that's their intention given they're under Animal Products, it's just time/space/labour intensive. Good use of my milk excess, though.

As a test, I restricted all my colonists to only eat those 4 foods and they eat mozzarella and cottage cheese, but not the yoghurts.

I think it's due to <preferability>NeverForNutrition</preferability>, as I just now realised they're a Food Consumption recreation food and not a meal. It could stand the specify this in a tooltip, if I may say so.
Mlie  [author] Sep 30, 2020 @ 2:11pm
@Kayedon Strange indeed. Any othe foods from this mod that has the same issue?
Kayedon Sep 30, 2020 @ 1:56pm
Mlie  [author] Sep 30, 2020 @ 1:51pm
@Kayedon Yoghurt from what mod?
Kayedon Sep 30, 2020 @ 1:00pm
For some reason, my pawns refuse to eat yoghurt unless forced to, even though it's part of their allowed foods. Thoughts?
Mlie  [author] Sep 2, 2020 @ 4:05am
@James Stone I see, that type of function is probably not anything the fermenter can do as it sounds like a custom thing. Ill remove it when I get the time.
James Stone Sep 2, 2020 @ 3:30am
What I mean is that Ambrandy has different properties depending on how long it is fermenting, and can be taken out at 5 different times (15 days all the way up to 120 days). Is the Fermenter's code able to handle that?
Also, Ambrandy would take an irrealistic (nearly cheating) amount of Ambrosia to create 150 must doses (7500 units of ambrosia), which is why I was saying it was probably best to just remove it from the list of Fermenter-compatible things.
Mlie  [author] Sep 2, 2020 @ 12:26am
@James Stone I just define what type of source-material and what product and how long the fermenting process take, for example:
<Fermenter.FermentDef>
<defName>Ferment_Beer</defName>
<Product>Beer</Product>
<Resource>Wort</Resource>
<SpoilProduct>SpoilMash</SpoilProduct>
<FermentHours>72.0</FermentHours>
<ResearchProject>Brewing</ResearchProject>
</Fermenter.FermentDef>
James Stone Sep 1, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Well, ambrandy uses only 1 must to produce a few Ambrandies, and takes 50 ambrosias to make. The Fermenter requires a minimum of 150 musts to produce, which is downright impossible for most values. Furthermore, the Ambrandy has an aging cycle, in which you can choose to take it out either earlier or later because it's a mix of sculpture and drink.

Honestly I suggest just saving yourself the headache and taking Ambrandy out of the list of potential drinks to make in the Fermenter, seems like too much work for no reason. The other values are 25 units of product for 5 musts, which I see now is not too much in comparison with vanilla.
Mlie  [author] Sep 1, 2020 @ 2:07pm
@James Stone I took the values from the other mod. Can you give an example?
James Stone Sep 1, 2020 @ 12:10pm
I think there are some imbalances with the Vanilla Brewing Expanded, their ratio of Wort to drink (especially stuff like Ambrandy) is very dissimilar to the numbers required to get the Fermenter working.
James Stone Aug 30, 2020 @ 2:17pm
Oh thank you! You're the best my man!
Mlie  [author] Aug 30, 2020 @ 1:20pm
@James Stone Should be added now, if I got it right :)
Mlie  [author] Aug 30, 2020 @ 4:24am
@James Stone I can look into it
James Stone Aug 30, 2020 @ 4:08am
Any chance to add them, even as a tech research after Fermenter?
Mlie  [author] Aug 29, 2020 @ 10:56am
@James Stone Yea, according to the description there is no support for that mod.
James Stone Aug 29, 2020 @ 7:34am
None of the recipes of Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Brewing show up on the Fermenter
X_Mangoose_X Aug 18, 2020 @ 9:34am
Thank you very much!
