Mr. Streamer figured out which mod is conflicting and causing empty boxes! delete the mod that give faction goodwill as a quest reward

I'm using this mod with medieval genepacks and frequently when I get more than one loot box from a quest, If I get one genepack, the chances of me getting the SAME genepack from the remaining loot boxes is high. There is a way that I could change it?

You are almost right. Yes the 7 is the drop weight, but the 20, 30 and 50 are a bit special. They are the quantities that can drop, but the first number is the minimum, the second is the low end of the maximum, and the third is the high end of the maximum.
So in your example with silver, if it gets selected, it can spawn a maximum between 30 and 50, but whatever it picks randomly for the maximum is again used to pick the final actual drop count from the minimum and that random maximum.

Sweet, thanks! Looking at the code, am I correct in presuming that on this line for example:

new(7, new Reward("Silver", 20, 30, 50)),

The first number "7" is the drop weight (so a 7 would be 7 times more likely to be selected randomly over a 1), and the group of numbers at the end "20, 30, 50" are the possible quantities that can drop? So in this case, when Silver drops, it may be 20 Silver, or 30 Silver, or 50 Silver?

Pardon me, but maybe I'm missing something here. The mod description says the loot tables were previously obfuscated (hidden) but now this version has de-obfuscated them. But I can't find the loot tables. Where are they?

ah maybe it was just randomly thats what it gave you if you have the gene dlc.

(you could try using dev mode and making more lootboxes from this mod as a test, and if each and every one is only genes, it could be a conflict or mod loading order issue?)

what's silly for me is that I've got 15 boxes and all of them are gene packs. I didn't receive any weapons/armors/items aside from these packs.

hi one thing that could help meanwhile, is to use the shift-click to queue them up.
for example, if you have say 1 of each, you give the command to open 1 of them, and while its being opened you can hold shift key and issue a quick similar command to the others too and they should get opened in turn, automatically, while you focus on something else - not the best way to achieve what you wanted but could help a bit) :)

(btw i tried mass opening bags in my recycling mod, and using a large stack size to open all in a stack but while it opened them all, the game didnt actually give you all of the items in the stack which would have been given had they been opened individually, so i had to limit it in my mod to play safe)

can you make the lootboxes come in different quality levels that magnify or reduce the loot value within?

can you make a slider for "loot box recipe cost" so that I can make it at least 10x more expensive to craft? also can you make an option to make the loot multiplier automatically scale from 0.1x to 5x depending on colony wealth? with the option to make it scale ascending, or descending between a set minimum and maximum colony wealth? for example you can make the loot boxes give better loot the poorer you are, or vice versa, with the ability to set the colony value at 0.1x you can set it to 10k or 100000k, and you can set the colony value for 5x to 100000k or 10k respectively

It's silly to think someone can craft a box with free loot.

Would it be possible to add option to queue (or check) loot boxes for opening, kinda like graves? It is quite a bother to click twice every chest with specific pawn to just open single loot box. If it is not possible, then maybe add building (for example 1200 silver) that is 2x1 and is openable like grave. It would be destroyed after opening and it would be an equivalent (in loot) of two chests for 600 silver. :monsterthinking:
