@Hyxaru Last time i talked with Aptitude he decided to make his mod private due to him not being satisfied with the quality of it

@Arubaro What exactly is buggy ? it should be working well, since the game didn't receive any updates that should conflict with the mod, also you can disable the tweaks that cause you issues from the mod menu

Would anyone know what happened to Aptitude and his workshop items?

I have just updated the mod to version 0.70.. unfortunately i could not help with your suggestion, matter of fact i couldn't even implement all the features i have planned for this release, and that's mainly because i am taking a break from modding don't starve.. i feel like there is way too much to be done, and if i continue, it's going to take a lot of work and time, which i don't have at the time.

A small suggestion, could the royal scepter perhaps be given an effect, any at that? I like how the royal crown can be worn and actually gives a small, yet free sanity boost as an effect. It's nice if you intent to keep the crown or have world hopped before.

I wouldn't know what effect though. A minor sanity boost is always nice. A minor speed boost too. Perhaps, a unique function could be to give it some damage, just a bit higher than a walking cane, but below or equal to a spear. Than it could serve as a good permanent lategame weapon to deal with weaker, annoying mobs that do not really need the power of a darksword to kill.

Sure, any feedback is welcome

@Obsidian Boulders respawning over player created structures, it's confirmed, aptitude will take care of this on his side

@Giants and hounds not spawning in the volcano, i think that's fine since the volcano doesn't provide everything you need, so i think it's a fair trade.. but i'll take in consideration the hound waves..

@Removing krissure, initially i wanted to take on this myself, but after discussing with aptitude, it will probably be better handled on his side

Hey Deprecious,

I like the direction of your mod. Together with Code Patch, I feel like it's a great step in the direction of having a smoother DS experience.
I was wondering, would you mind if I leave some possible suggestions?

In my longest Don't Starve playthrough, I had decided to make a base within the volcano shard, for I saw potential and liked the general atmosphere there. I encounterd some gripes however, and perhaps via a rebalancing mod those could be tackled.

-The most annoying thing about the volcano, is that Obsidian Boulders, Charcoal Formations and Ash Trees respawn, and in a particular way that is annoying. It is decent that they respawn at all, which could be considered world regrowth which is absent in nearly all of Don't Starve. However, when they respawn (exactly 72 days, one year after being broken), they respawn unconditionally. This means that they can spawn inside other entities such as player made structures. For mostly aesthetic reasons, this is a pain. Even worse are the Obsidian boulders, which require an explosion to be destroyed, meaning all closeby structures you placed will go as well.

What I would suggest is that the part of the code that makes them respawn first scans for other nearby entities, and if there are any, it restarts it's cooldown with perhaps 10 days until a new respawn check.

-Magma Piles are a good source of minerals. However they obstruct movement, placing and in general you'd want to clear them for base building. This more often than not creates Krissuers. Krissures are fire hazards. And there are soo many. What I would suggest is a way to, permanently or not, patch up Krissure holes. Kind of how you can disarm traps in Hamlet ruins. Perhaps you could use Rocks or Ice to plug the Krissure. Ideally the new Krissure state would not block placement.

-Puddles, Crocodogs and the Sealnado do not spawn on the volcano. This makes it quite forgiving. I would like to ask, could it be made so that Hounds, not Crocodogs, would also come and attack on top of the volcano in their usual waves?
