To be honest, I really dislike the situation where the bullet trajectory option is turned on and the bullet texture becomes huge due to the excessive power of the weapon

I just tracked a bug from this mod with the fire extinguisher from VWE and the firefoam launchers from Firefoam Things, where the launched firefoams gets a infinitely wide trail. Disabling weapon trails solves the issue, though.

It looks like the trails option of the mod is incompatible with Medieval 2. Disabling the option fixes the issue with weapons

If you are having the projectile trails issue, you are able to use the "kill" command in devmode to remove them. It's annoying, but useful if you do not want to outright turn the trails off. You need to trace the trail to the destination point (i.e, who/where the bullet was fired at) and click with the kill command.

Guys, just disable trails in the mod settings. This will solve the problem with VWE - Coilguns.

bullet trails with VWE coilguns are broken, the bullet trails stay until you reload the save and heavily impact performance

Yep this mod is not compatible with Rail Gun from VWE - Coilguns.
Temporary fix: turn off bullets trails in mod options and it will work out just fine, yet I wanna see the bullet trails again :(((

also having the incompatibility with gauss weaponry from VWE coilguns.
the trails last until reload, and absolutely *destroy* TPS.
if a fix isn't feasible, i'd recommend having a compatibility warning, since vanilla expanded is extremely common.

Also getting permanent gun trails with the Gauss Lance from VE coilguns. Each firing of the gun is destroying my TPS. After about 40 shots or so my TPS dropped from about 120 to 40. Disabling gun trails and reloading seems to fix it.

Currently not playing Rimworld since i am waiting for other mod authors updating their stuff + too many other interesting games releasing right now but i remember i solved most of my issues with mod incompatibles by disabling weapon trails in the mod options

I'm having all the same issues as the last few comments. Error spam that lags the game, and bullet traces don't disappear without saving then reloading the save. Watching the error log, I noticed I only start getting the error spam when a weapon is fired and a frozen bullet trace is created.

Not sure which Projectile it is in my case, but i too have the Errorspam from some Projectile like Kitty and Liane:

The projectile trail is a null object that lands on the ground and spams the console slowing the game to a crawl.

there was/is some kind of conflict with smart speed and run and gun (issue mod) where you speed up and combat stats stay at 4x speed and when you slow down to 1x combat stats are still at 4x

Just in case, I'm not even sure it's a bug/issue yet but it looks wild and OP. If anyone encounters a Trispike or Fingerspike from Anomaly and it obliterates you with rapid fire/high speed spikes, I turned this off and it did NOT fix it. Probably not from this mod.

I have permanent trails with the Gauss Rifle from VE. Is there a way to fix that? A reload of the save fixes it, but... It's inconvinient.

If you have this mod and are using other mods disable the trails probably, When using warcasket weapons the trails stick around for far too long and end up either as a random artifact or sometimes lag the game

Just a heads up if anyone else encounters this. While using the fire extinguisher from Vanilla Weapons Expanded or any of the "guns/launchers" from Firefoam Things, I experienced a visual error when using said items with this mod. Disabling the "Enable Trails" option in the mod options for this mod fixes that issue.
